Agreed. - Asianwaste, on 11/09/2007, -1/+16Articles like this makes me wonder why I drink when I'm thirsty...
- foofightrs777, on 11/13/2007, -2/+13"I have an Xbox 360 that can take me back to the 1950's to battle Nazis..."
Uh....I'm sure there were still a few Nazis left in the 1950s but seems like your game would likely be a legal and procedural matter rather than a WWII FPS as listed. Might want to see the 1940s for that...Hell, even Nurenburg was over by the mid/late 40s.
Maybe pretending you're in the 1950s and reading a book wouldn't hurt? - Kalior, on 11/09/2007, -0/+10#12: It keeps your reflexes sharp.
I've been playing first person shooters for about 9 years now (competitively for 4), and I have the reflexes of a fighter pilot. - bightchee, on 11/14/2007, -2/+12#12: Strip Mortal Kombat with your girlfriend.
- inactive, on 11/09/2007, -4/+12well i play games with people just to mess with them
- inactive, on 11/13/2007, -0/+7Summation: Why we play games (for endless hours) - because we have nothing better do or the motivation to do it.
- khyberkitsune, on 11/13/2007, -0/+6I play games because I'm either bored or my boyfriend doesn't want to *****.
Or I'm too busy smoking pot, my favorite recreational pasttime. - Subvexer, on 11/13/2007, -0/+6No women?
- KSUdesigner, on 11/09/2007, -0/+5Even better, a list that is all on ONE PAGE!
- inactive, on 11/08/2007, -0/+5I love how Digg is filled with ***** morons...
No comment juicebag, no ***** comment... - aristicero, on 11/13/2007, -0/+4Tecmo Super Bowl was on Playstation?
- dondara, on 11/09/2007, -0/+4I play games because I don't own a race car and killing people is wrong. But of course if I wanted to play football, I would just go outside and do so.
- UwasaWaya, on 11/14/2007, -0/+4I think pot and games go very well together.
Like Geometry Wars... - LaughingBovine, on 11/14/2007, -0/+4Because I smoked earlier?
- UwasaWaya, on 11/13/2007, -0/+4It's amazing how the most unexpected quotes can yield the most laughter
- orlyfactor, on 11/09/2007, -0/+4To escape the horrible thing I call reality.
- Shippwreck87, on 11/14/2007, -0/+4Why? It's because you can't double-jump in real life!
- whatthefu, on 11/08/2007, -0/+3"The gratification the player gets from overcoming some grueling obstacle or enemy in a game after many failed attempts is something that is hard to match in the real world. And that "eureka" moment, that virtually all gamers have experienced at one time or another, is one of the biggest reasons why we return to the same video game time after time." I'm pretty sure I broke my Zelda cartridge in frustration before I could return to it :-/
- atomicpoet, on 11/09/2007, -3/+6Because the clown told me that if I don't continuously press the buttons, he'd infect my brain signals.
- khyberkitsune, on 11/14/2007, -0/+3You would be correct.
- cloudyprison, on 11/14/2007, -0/+3Nope, they get old...and squishy.
- bentman78, on 11/14/2007, -1/+4I play games so my wife doesn't monopolize the TV to watch things like HG network and Dancing with the Stars. If I get home before her you better bet it's Halo 3 time....
- shinynew, on 11/09/2007, -0/+3#6.9 The 'This game is ***** broken' moment

Mom, can you get dad out of here? - UwasaWaya, on 11/09/2007, -0/+3He quotes 4chan. What do you expect, Shakespeare?
- UwasaWaya, on 11/14/2007, -0/+3Because games make a much more compelling reality.
For instance, instead of studying, I would just blow up my text book, pose in mid air and it'd be all like "Get Equipped with Advanced Japanese!" - Exhaust, on 11/09/2007, -0/+3Durr really? I think hes saying we find them "fun" or enjoyable because of deeper biological/psychological reasons. The people digging him down must not be able to grasp any concepts deeper than "Press button make character move = fun".
- leerayIG88, on 11/13/2007, -1/+3money and making nubs leave the game disappointed, good laughs.
- Tcnorman, on 11/13/2007, -0/+2pics or it didn't happen
- DarkDx, on 11/08/2007, -1/+3I don't know why you're being dugg down. But yeah, the satisfaction is a big part of it.
- Tophillious, on 11/08/2007, -0/+2I actually had a conversation as to why people enjoy playing puzzle games. In my opinion, it's for the satisfaction of achieving a difficult task, which in turn motivates the player to do better, causing the player to play the puzzle game addictively...But this is just my 2 cents.
- DarthGohan1, on 11/08/2007, -0/+2Fabulous article!
