- errorjustin, on 10/12/2007, -7/+27Glad you enjoyed it :) We figured much longer than this would just be stretching it needlessly.
Plus, we used Goldeneye music. So, you know, bonus cool points for that, right? - lotuseater, on 10/12/2007, -5/+19What a completely pointless video.
- Puttockc, on 10/12/2007, -3/+8Dude, there are better things to do with virgins ;-)
- thcobbs, on 10/12/2007, -3/+8Have to watch the video now since you said it used Goldeneye music.
- KyjL, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2The poke-fun-at-the-name is effin' old, but I couldn't stop laughing after I heard "My Wii has magical powers"
- rnelsonee, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Yup, same here. My Wii stopped reading discs. The rep was, oh, 16 it seemed like (not a bad thing, it just wasn't what I was expecting). American, too, and he was definitely a Nintendo guy, we talked about about the games that were out. So there's a few "are you sure you're putting it in right?" type questions. I throw some nerd talk his way and tell him an engineer to speed up the progress, and he goes ahead and ships me a new advance replacement Wii. He shipped it via UPS Blue, which is 2nd day air in normalspeak. It was supposed to be $5 shipping, but he waived it for me - he said he was still in the holiday mood (it was first week of Jan.)
Anywho, long story short, I got the Wii in a couple of days, shipped the old one back, and there were zero problems. Nintendo also shipped me the new Wii straps, and gave me a confirmation email when they got my old 'n busted Wii. - CornMonkey, on 10/12/2007, -6/+7Great video. I agree that Nintendo has EXCELLENT service. I wrote in not too long ago about a cracked Wii Sports disc (due to my clumsy friend) and they sent me a new one after answering some of their questions!
- cramd, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Their customer service is amazing. My Wii Sports disc suffered one of my daughters toys falling on it. There was no visible damage to the disc, but it was getting the "unable to read disc" error. I just got off the phone with Nintendo and they are sending me a new disc out today. I am amazed! I was sure that I would get some discount on a replacement disc - their sending a new one out to me today has made me an even greater Nintendo fan-boy.
My experience with my 360 problems were not quite as pleasant (understandable but still not pleasant). - RUFiO006, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Dude narrating sounds like Peter Petrelli
- SGWyoshi, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1you have to buy em again
lucky for me i hadnt bought any yet :p - danjal, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2A Wii replacement video... how exciting /sarcasm
- eturd, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1He's holding out for the Nintendo gods to deliver Princess Toadstool to him instead.
She sure as hell ain't no virgin. - BradleyLS, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Amazing customer service from Nintendo, but for a console as 'inexpensive' as the Wii I can't imagine a replacement is really costing Nintendo that much. At least I know I can get mine replaced if something seriously goes wrong.
For those of you who've had a Wii replaced: What about Virtual Console games you had purchased? Did you have to buy them again? - randyrandall, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1This video had no point whatsoever. You could have just said 'My Wii broke, said memory corrupted, I rang Nintendo, they sent me a new one in a small box, but my old on started working again.'
Boring. - joesixpacktech, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Very familiar experience...My Wii was dead out of the box...here is my error code...http://www.flickr.com/photos/vzdemo/367421851/in/set-72157594495806709/
- SmokeN-DC, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1It is refreshing that Nintendo will ship a replacement first and you ship back the broken one I have a busted 360 that Microsoft wants back for "REPAIRS" which we all know is BS they will send a re-ferb but first I must wait for a special BOX to ship it back to them and then wait 10 more business days for it to come back to me then I will fight to get all my stuff back (downloaded games and other crap) man I hope thats not the case I love my Wii but I miss my 360
- woohhaa, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2When I was a kid we always flipped off the big brown truck. We got a kick out of him trying to chase us on our bikes. I don't know why we did that.
- EXreaction, on 10/12/2007, -4/+3UPS does suck.
In the few years I have had things shipped by them to my house only 1 thing has ever came undamaged, and that was my dell laptop that I bought a few weeks ago(I am guessing that UPS took special care since they knew what it was). Everything else looked like it was kicked around.
Now FedEx is the complete opposite. I have never received even a slightly damaged box from them, everything gets to me in perfect shape. - loof, on 10/12/2007, -4/+3it all depends on where you live back home UPS is terrible they once threw a package in my yard while i was walking out to get it and then took off. At my college they're much much better.
- SGWyoshi, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1this happened to me too
same system memory thing lost 9 hrs of zelda
this guy does realize that if he doesnt send his busted wii back to them there gona charge his credit card 200 bucks :p lol hes screwed - SGWyoshi, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1lol yea they also gave me free shiping and a few straps :p
hope this guy sends nintendo his magical wii b4 he gets charged for it - knugen, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0I can't help feeling jealous that they would replace broken Wiis like that when I still can't even find one to buy. :(
- MattElmore, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1Very Apple-like customer service. Good for Nintendo. :)
- WraTH017, on 10/12/2007, -5/+2I had to replace my Wii shortly after I bought it. I couldn't connect to the Wiiconnect24 service, so I gave Nintendo a call. Since it was the holidays, they offered me free shipping both ways, and I recieved my replacement Wii two business days later. Pretty nice costumer support if you ask me.
Boring video, however. - wagesj45, on 10/12/2007, -11/+8Dugg just for the Goldeneye music. Thanks, I needed that.
- PureHeretic, on 10/12/2007, -7/+4Buried...
Reason: Mac Sucks :) - catfud, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1i miss read
i suck
but thanks for saying exactly what i said up farther - catfud, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1like what???????
if your hetero theres nothing better then a virgin - jake8689, on 10/12/2007, -6/+2i new wii's had magical powers
- Xyleene, on 10/12/2007, -6/+1I hope he doesn't actually commit suicide :-(
- angrycat, on 10/12/2007, -6/+1What the ***** is the point of this video, your video console got broken and you had to get a replacement. Welcome to life retard, ***** happens all the time, do us all a favor and kill yourself.
- msthursday, on 10/12/2007, -6/+1@nreynolds
I don't think anyone cares if you like the PS3 or the wii, but your comment had nothing to do with the video.
Sorry I clicked the wrong link so the reply ended up in the wrong place. - lebe0024, on 10/12/2007, -8/+3OMG UPS is the WORST. My friend Bob used to work in a warehouse that shipped bottles of eyeglass cleaner using UPS. He said that when UPS damages a box, they tape the box to repair it. Sometimes, he gets boxes back that no longer contain any cardboard - they're just a plastic tape "shell".
- errorjustin, on 10/12/2007, -6/+1For those complaining that this video is boring... I don't necessarily disagree with you. It's not going to set the world on fire. I still thought it was fine, though. We've don't videos that are a little more exciting, I promise:
http://www.wii.tv/2007/02/09/wiitv-original-the-kidd-vs-wii-sports/ - CoffeeandTV, on 10/12/2007, -6/+1Why so many dugg-down?
- Samsong, on 10/12/2007, -6/+1That wasn't exciting... but it got me to watch the video...
- DSEZ, on 10/12/2007, -9/+3Glad to know this is possible, havent had any problems with the wii and im happy to know we are protected. Also thats a great site i havent visited before.
- HalFTW, on 10/12/2007, -11/+4Boring fanboi bs, don't bother watching.
- firehydra2k, on 10/12/2007, -9/+2They forgot the fact that it went through UPS. They usually take better care of packages than someone who would send it through media mail...
- catfud, on 10/12/2007, -14/+2Why would he sacrifice a virgin everynight what he could ***** them
- ascott9, on 10/12/2007, -25/+12enjoyed the video. not to long and interesting. now digg me down if this gets popular
- nreynolds, on 10/12/2007, -24/+3I'll admit, I'm a bit of a Sony fanboy, but I also really like Nintendo, now. Right before christmas, my dad was trying to find me a Wii for my birthday (two weeks before xmas). It was really hard to find any at the time so he wrote a letter to Nintendo saying he knows they have Wii's in storage and they're creating artificial low-supply. 1 day after, he gets a letter back saying they're going to mail me a Wii. Yup. We still had to pay for it, but Nintendo ISN'T selling Wii's right now. They just wanted to be awesome. The Wii is a great system, but I have to say i am a tiny bit disappointed by it just because people hyped it up so badly. Currently, I'm enjoying my PS3 more (which I bought with my money from my summer job) which apparently people decided was a terrible system before they played it. I know I already said I was a sony fanboy so you're probably not going to listen to me but I have no reason to play a system I don't like. I have all 3 next-gen systems and I play PS3 the most, it's a simple as that.
