Start work on the patch. - vsujohn2, on 11/28/2008, -3/+52Take a HUGE dump.
- Casty, on 11/28/2008, -1/+45Next time I buy a game at launch I'm gonna feel like I'm being watched...
- inactive, on 11/28/2008, -0/+32Circle jerk
- alclone, on 11/28/2008, -0/+26When Blizzard sells a game, the devs go off buying new Lexus's and Audi's.
- cubicledrone, on 11/28/2008, -0/+23They get fired.
- dafragsta, on 11/28/2008, -1/+18Only if they work for an EA subsidiary.
- hadak, on 11/28/2008, -2/+19Masturbate. *Furiously.*
- fxu1989, on 11/28/2008, -0/+11>>Paul Holden (Programmer): "Surely the day before the release we're frantically putting patches together to edit out offensive song lyrics?"
Awesome response...
Can't believe how some people are very uptight about their religion and look at every little thing that has some kind of affinity (looks, sounds) and tries to censor it.
But I guess it's free advertising for the game. I didn't know about LittleBigPlanet before the whole song lyrics thing...now I do, and I've played it (friend's house), and it's good. I'm gonna buy it for christmas for my lil bro. - hadak, on 11/28/2008, -0/+9I think I suddenly just released a game.
- Vektuz, on 11/28/2008, -0/+9Our ritual was simply to drink.
- Shaflugi, on 11/29/2008, -0/+9I'm sure if you were a game developer and you saw thousands of people downloading your hard work for free, you'd at least be a LITTLE pissed.

- ryansimbalist, on 11/29/2008, -0/+7Because you cannot afford something or think it is not worth buying does not make you entitled to it.
- shoppingkart, on 11/28/2008, -0/+7Meanwhile, Home Depot silently plans their next big thing in the background.
- j3ff86, on 11/28/2008, -3/+9They deserve them.
- funnygreen, on 11/28/2008, -0/+6i think cliffy b gets blitzed.
- inactive, on 11/28/2008, -2/+8Oooh.. I know the answer to this one. They throw money at every website and blog who will take it and threaten to sue Amazon over negative user reviews. Easy. Next question.
- Shazbuckle, on 11/28/2008, -0/+6I have a large framed picture of a owl on my desk, I like to stare into the black void of its giant eyes until it weirds me out and I get back to work.
Gotta get me one of those - benologist, on 11/28/2008, -0/+5I assume they all sit around and pray for enough sales to continue justifying their employment. And praying their work doesn't end up on bittorrent before it even launches.
- kasperu, on 11/28/2008, -0/+4god of war? one of the biggest ps2 games, Elder Scrolls, one of the biggest RPG franchise in the world? You need to get out more, or the opposit.
- benologist, on 11/28/2008, -0/+4Which is most game developers...
- inactive, on 11/28/2008, -0/+3I just got really really drunk when BTRL came out. That, and I seeded the torrent for 36 hours on a university connection, uploading at 1.5 mbps.
- Hodor, on 11/28/2008, -4/+7yumm, that guy in the middle made me want to have tonkatsu
- Exbzurq, on 11/28/2008, -0/+3Don't feed the trolls.
- tgc1, on 11/28/2008, -0/+3Get some f'ing sleep finally.
- built2spill, on 11/28/2008, -0/+3I wonder if the Spore developers were as disappointed as I was. Not that it didn't sell well, or that was very poorly received. But the hype bubble did burst and the DRM controversy was pretty bad, so much so that Spore to this day has a 1.5 star review on Amazon - that's gotta hurt.
- spookyttws, on 11/29/2008, -0/+2Yes and no, two of my friends work for Blizzard, one is a programmer and one is VP in charge of Server upkeep for the China division. The former has been working over time for the past few months with little downtime and rents a modest condo, the latter has been putting in a similar amount of work but has an amazing house and literally just bought a new Lexus IS.
- Hodor, on 11/28/2008, -1/+3yumyum tonskatsu sosu. :)
- zachnf, on 11/29/2008, -0/+2What the heck?
- metaliq, on 11/28/2008, -1/+3I was thinking they ate and played games on their game lunch.
Boy was I surprised! - nerdherder, on 11/29/2008, -0/+2I'm with the guy who goes to watch people buy the game. Would be cool to see people excited to get their hands on something you helped make.
- inactive, on 11/28/2008, -0/+1the BTRL Demo.
There was a split in the dev team, with the vast majority leaving BTRL and going over to make a new project called Diaspora.
www.diaspora-game.com is where the action is now. - MonkeyNews, on 12/01/2008, -0/+1I believe the plural for Lexus is Lexi.
- SNUFF, on 11/28/2008, -0/+1Count the dough
- QueensGangsta, on 11/28/2008, -0/+1*sigh* how many developers have done this to us..
- JakeyG14, on 11/28/2008, -0/+1Release the pay to access downloadable content which is essentially a key to unlock something which should have came as standard with the game...
- macfan93, on 12/01/2008, -0/+1you think god of war is only a psp game? YOU need to do the opposite of going outside more.
- coldkill3r, on 11/28/2008, -0/+1Hmm, not bad.
fap fap fap - inactive, on 11/28/2008, -0/+1I thought you were talking about Beyond The Red Line, and I almost shat myself. But now that I look at their website, it looks like that game will never be finished, and that makes me sad.
actually.. what are you talking about? - inactive, on 11/28/2008, -0/+1Ahh.. yeah.. I've played the hell out of that demo. I haven't kept up with it in a while though, and I thought you were talking about the full version being released. I haven't heard of the new project. I don't care what it's called. I want to fly vipers!
- Casty, on 11/29/2008, -0/+1Or they might see your new game, see the price, and say "$50? ***** that"
- BabyWookie, on 11/29/2008, -0/+1A cheap hotel room, 10 grams of coke, a bottle of tequila and two Mexican lady boys...
- CompanyCalls405, on 11/29/2008, -0/+1*cough*Bioshock PS3
- CompanyCalls405, on 11/29/2008, -0/+1Surprisingly interesting read but I'd agree with whoever mentioned getting to work on patches.
- STKD, on 11/29/2008, -0/+1Drink and wander into LocalGameStore-X to take on all challengers foolish enough to go near the demo kiosk running the game in question.
- Triene, on 11/29/2008, -0/+1tonkatsu curry... omnomnom
- o3man, on 11/29/2008, -0/+1Call the mafiagazine and yell - YOU GOT MY 800 NUMBER WRONG!
- DragonForce4, on 11/29/2008, -0/+1KICK
PUNCH
IT'S ALL IN THE MIND - PetiteNova, on 12/01/2008, -0/+1David Jaffe is never going to have to worry about God of War PR ever again.
Cliff B. on the other hand will never be able to shed the douche bag persona that he exudes with such ease. -
