- ThugATRON, on 10/10/2007, -11/+1wowa awesome app! Nice digg dude, we really need to digg more of our exclusives like the acecard rpg etc. We always get the samples and reviews out first so we should digg every exclusive to try and deter the copycats *cough* MAXC *cough*!
- dualscreenman, on 10/10/2007, -0/+35Everyone's been waiting for sooo long for an app like this. Extremely. *****. Awesome.
- Crazymaniacc, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Does this work with any flash card?
- dualscreenman, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6If the flashcard has a working DLDI patch, then it should.
- Crazymaniacc, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Does this work with any flash card?
- leetleo, on 10/10/2007, -2/+25looks like the iphone has some new competition, lol.
- DragonQuester, on 10/10/2007, -5/+29IT ALSO PRINTS MONEY!
This app is totally awesome. But uhhh...has anyone ever heard of SIP?- MidnightMartin, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6There are detailed instructions on setting up free SIP accounts with a number of sites throughout the post ^_^
- nicklassa, on 10/10/2007, -2/+5SIP = Session Initiation Protocol....its one method for signaling within an IP network
- cgruber, on 10/10/2007, -3/+30And every 20 minutes a kitten pops out!
- nepawoods, on 10/10/2007, -3/+21The Nintendo DS really deserves more attention as a handheld computing platform. (i.e. not just for kids, and not just for games)
- bratterscain, on 10/10/2007, -13/+4You mean like DS fanboys would sometimes claim how they didn't want a system that does a lot of things like the PSP, but rather a single dedicated system for gaming? It was often their defense when someone bragged on the multiple capabilities of the PSP.
- dualscreenman, on 10/10/2007, -2/+7Ah, but with the DS you have a choice whether or not you get those features. You can also get most of the features for less than a PSP would cost you /plus/ you get a ***** of great games.
- NSMike, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5There is some truth to your statement, however, regardless of functionality, the real issue is that while the PSP was porting old PS2 games and clinging to UMD's, developers for the DS were popping out awesome title after awesome title.
- kidcodea, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5i use ds with colors and phidias for my web design planning.
i use ds for games (1400 and counting).
i use ds for internet acess while on vacations.
i use ds for mail, irc, web
i use ds for trackers (alla fastracker) and midi sequencers.
i use ds as a pocket enhancer.- jadenguy, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5pocket enhancer?
like, "is that a ds in your pocket or are you just happy to see me" enhanced?- kidcodea, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1exactly ;)
- jadenguy, on 10/10/2007, -4/+1crazy double post...digg down.
- jadenguy, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5pocket enhancer?

- emoo69, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3I just used it! Its great but I want one thats free sip I used a free trail one,
- RexMaxus, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2Good luck with that, getting a free SIP account would be like getting free internet, or land line phone service.

- antiorblkflag9, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3I just need to get the flash reader, then I can also put Scumm on mine...
- arcooke, on 10/10/2007, -8/+2It's a cool hack, but unfortunately this only turns it into a regular phone. For some reason I thought they meant cell phone. I guess I should have thought it through some more.
- adamrgolf, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8?
- blahtastic, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8Well...wherever u can get wifi you have a phone. Thats like... at least once a mile in a populated business area. Not too shabby.
- dualscreenman, on 10/10/2007, -3/+1It's not really a "hack", it's an application that turns your DS into a softphone.
Did you really think it would turn it into a cellphone? DS has WiFi, cellphones do not. But I guess it's possible that you *did* think it was a cellphone since you think it's a hack. (I'm guessing you mean hardware hack?)
- RupeeClock, on 10/10/2007, -2/+1Oh boy, the popularity of this article has lead to getting 600+ simultaneous guests on gbatemp.net and crashing their forum. XD
Looks very interesting, I hope a youtube video is made soon. - gl77, on 03/31/2008, -2/+2Digg effect in full effect. anyone with a mirror?

- aywwts4, on 10/10/2007, -1/+6Go buy an R4DS and a 1 or 2 gig micro sd card.
The world of DS homebrew and high seas swashbuckling will open up to you.- iofthestorm, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Yeah, I recommend realhotstuff.com for anyone buying from the US, they have great customer support and fast shipping. They replaced my first one that broke in like 4 days. (the spring-loading mechanism for the microSD card in some of them is kind of faulty, but I heard there's a newer revision that doesn't tend to eject your microSD cards at high velocities, which I think I now have.)
- solarix, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1I wouldn't recommend buying one from any US online retailer. With the raids that happened a few weeks back, I might be a little concerned about the safety of my personal information and what I purchased. I just find companies from Canada that ship to the US, makes me feel a little bit safer.
Probably false sense of security, but I guess its better than none.

Put this on i-touch and we're good to go :D- jpinsonault, on 10/10/2007, -1/+0no mic, sorry
- jonshipman, on 10/10/2007, -2/+1dang, I was hoping to be able to pop in a sim card and use a plan :-(

- pabster, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4DS is the *****. I'm waiting for SkypeDS as well. It would be total euphoria.
- mjl5629, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4I used voipbuster. I got used about 10 calls before the trial period ran out.
- pinkbob, on 10/10/2007, -2/+0Cool. Why do I get a pop up saying bobrules is the best
- iamchris, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3WoW, I live in SoCal and have been using SIP for over a year now. I thought it was common knowledge. hehe I work for a company the builds Asterisk servers and we use SIP quite a bit.
But DS using SIP is going to be fun, can't wait to try this out. - supermanred, on 10/10/2007, -2/+2Wont be long before someone comes out with an addon microphone and app for the Apple iPod touch.
Do it yourself iPhone, FTW!!! - MidnightMartin, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1An awesome video tutorial has been made by one of the forum members (Big Lou) walking you through the process of setting SvSIP up. Thanks Big Lou! ^_^
