- RupertPupkin22, on 07/17/2009, -3/+10960 bucks is too much for a game. After a couple of months you can get them for 30. Makes no sense.
- adeelarshad82, on 07/17/2009, -1/+65doubt this has to do with economy. It's just the lack of new games. Watch the sales go sky rocket in Q4
- Rapter09, on 07/17/2009, -1/+57What's to buy?
- psolms, on 07/18/2009, -0/+44you sound a little sexually frustrated...
- nahsrocketeer75, on 07/17/2009, -2/+37Should mean some bargains on the way, no?
- RupertPupkin22, on 07/17/2009, -0/+34I knew Obama was to blame for this slight decrease in gaming sales.
- VonBargenJL, on 07/17/2009, -6/+32because noting good came since Fallout 3 in october (at least for PC) ... except for the Sword of the Stars expansion
- PhilMoskowitz, on 07/18/2009, -2/+22EA Spent years devastating the gaming industry. Enjoy the fruits of their labour.
- brownsound00, on 07/18/2009, -1/+1950,000 people used to game here...
- matt247, on 07/18/2009, -0/+16Obama did say to stop playing Xbox in a recent speech.
- Kbriggs, on 07/18/2009, -0/+16damn dems and their anti video game legislation.
- Spandia, on 07/18/2009, -10/+25All the available games coming out right now are pretty *****. For some reason the gaming industry likes to hold our ***** down in the summer and see if we can have a jizz festival in the fall. Frankly, all the poon worthy games coming out this fall might be too hot to handle. I can't afford buying them all up at one time...someone should release a cum bucket of a game in the summer.
- kinseyincanada, on 07/18/2009, -0/+14well June was a small month in terms of releases, but July has Wii Sports Resort which is going to sell like bacon flavored crack pancakes.
- ban1d0, on 07/17/2009, -1/+13QUAD DAMAGE!
- damnshoes, on 07/17/2009, -2/+14Quake 4?!
- RJ0534, on 07/18/2009, -0/+12now it's a ghost town.
- Juggles100, on 07/18/2009, -0/+10Try being Australian, $120 on a new release, thats roughly $100 US
- HouseholdHacker, on 07/18/2009, -0/+10Perhaps it is because there were no good games in June?
- JoeHague, on 07/18/2009, -0/+10I love those, but McDonald's stops serving breakfast at 10 and I can never wake up that early/
- Malik112099, on 07/18/2009, -1/+11It's the summer slump. Everyone is waiting for the blockbusters coming up soon (Assassins Creed II, Splinter Cell, CoD:MW2, etc)
- diggdowner, on 07/18/2009, -0/+9Well, WipEout HD (PS3) is on sale right now for $15...
- RedSepher, on 07/18/2009, -0/+9Only problem with that is the fact that if they release them all Q4, There will be even less buyers along with more competition. People cant afford 5 new games, all worth 40-60$ at one time...
- th3heretic, on 07/18/2009, -3/+11Could of sworn there was some article on Digg saying video games were up due to the recession.
- smord, on 07/18/2009, -1/+9*Could have
- Nitrodist88, on 07/18/2009, -0/+7Too bad nothing good is out.
- Jhiaxuz, on 07/18/2009, -1/+8***** games are not related to the state of the economy. Just the state of the developers.
- cuervoman914, on 07/18/2009, -0/+6man, dont worry. nothing a cum rag game wont fix
- LeftsideChaos, on 07/18/2009, -1/+7We're talking about good games right now.
- crossmr, on 07/18/2009, -0/+6how's that working out for HL2?
- spookyttws, on 07/18/2009, -1/+7Last year was a huge exception to the normal release cycle. For some reason they kept releasing Big Name titles through the summer to great success, normally the summer months are the dead months. So it's obvious why sales are down from last year, excluding the 5 or 6 big named titles released in June the rest of the Summer looks to be a return to the dead months again.
- Chak2007, on 07/18/2009, -0/+5Our so-called game stores prostituted us to the West...
- Treshnell, on 07/18/2009, -0/+5Half price at gamestop? Last I checked they were still selling used games at $5 off new price.
I'll stick to Goozex. Trade my old games in for newer games. - Chak2007, on 07/18/2009, -1/+6fail
- 1hrSleep, on 07/18/2009, -0/+5Previous summers had some pretty good games though.
This year has nothing. ALL the good games are coming out in fall.
I'm waiting for Natural Selection and AC2. - TheSexyBeast821, on 07/18/2009, -0/+5It's because in summer people would rather buy drugs and party than spend $60 on a game... $60 is unreasonable for most of the crap out there.
- TonyTheTerrible, on 07/18/2009, -0/+4Wait until Starcraft 2, and then Diablo 3 come out. They will more than make up for the year of sales.
- enantiodromia, on 07/18/2009, -0/+4I'd like to see this broken down by game price.
I still buy games all the time, but from XBLA, for $5-$15. Who has $60 for a new game, especially since you can just wait a month and get it for half price on eBay or Game Stop? - snapcase, on 07/18/2009, -4/+8I'm blaming the death of TPB. Nobody can sample the games to find out if they wanna buy, so they just aren't bothering to waste their money.
At least that's what I'm going with. - HoppyPotty, on 07/18/2009, -3/+7Hopefully the repetitive ***** games ***** off(EA) and the imaginative customer oriented company's like valve flourish.
- Mockylock, on 07/18/2009, -0/+4Everyone's holding the big titles until Late fall.
- decx, on 07/18/2009, -0/+4because any person in his right mind plays quakelive for free anyway...
..play more quakelive
</admode> - Tyrghast, on 07/18/2009, -0/+4There's been plenty of new games. However they've all been complete *****. Infamous, Prototype, Red Faction, a slew of fighting games? One ***** after another.
- AntonMoss, on 07/18/2009, -0/+4Well helllooooooo I'm misses Negative Nancy!
- grovest4life, on 07/18/2009, -2/+6That's because my ps3 got the yellow light of death. Damn console manufactures crappy quality and use of lead free solder. Lets just hope getting it re-balled will last.
- djphilos, on 07/18/2009, -0/+4There are no (quality) games out right now for the consoles and especially PC/MAC.
- muzzy, on 07/18/2009, -0/+4Everyone is waiting for StarCraft 2...
- StuartGibson, on 07/18/2009, -0/+4IMPRESSIVE
- Jpeg2600, on 07/18/2009, -2/+5BREAKING NEWS: Teens are discovering nature and actually enjoy being outside
- Animan351, on 07/18/2009, -8/+11Maybe it's the high prices and greed from companies like Blizzard turning into greedy pieces of ***** by dividing starcraft 2 campaigns into The main game and then 2 expansions and completely removing LAN play. You'd think WOW was enough to keep their pockets full, but removing LAN on a game series that loves LAN is horrible.
- Mikey129, on 07/18/2009, -0/+3I've seen alot more pale skinned chubby people outside these days.
