- chriskzoo, on 10/12/2007, -5/+78Who the F is Lawrence.com? LOL
I gave it a 0.9/10 - just visit chris.com - Calypsoaf, on 10/12/2007, -2/+23I agree, might as well be www.randomguy.com.
I wait for 2 reviews, 1up.com and Famitsu. - TehKrut, on 10/12/2007, -2/+22Because we're trying to piss you off?
- Sedako, on 10/12/2007, -0/+20Haven't read the review yet, but what is Lawrence.com? I've never heard of the place.
- chris9902, on 10/12/2007, -1/+20how could he see the screen with that massive hard-on he had infront of him?
- awfulshot, on 10/12/2007, -2/+189.5 on graphics?
- allenu, on 10/12/2007, -1/+17I heard a guy on the street gave it 10/10! The guy who was shining my shoes gave it two thumbs up!
- typobox43, on 10/12/2007, -0/+15It's the Lawrence Journal-World, the local newspaper in Lawrence, KS (home of the University of Kansas). I'm not quite sure why they reviewed it, how they got their hands on the game to review it, or why anyone considers them a reasonable source for video game reviews. I go to KU, and I'm a bit surprised to see this here.
- chris9902, on 10/12/2007, -6/+189.5 graphics...... that tells you all you need to know about this fanboy.
- shirtninjay, on 10/12/2007, -3/+13By my calculations, his score should've been 9.8.
- Scotepi, on 10/12/2007, -7/+17how is this front page?
- majoogybobber, on 10/12/2007, -2/+10DiggScan 1.0:

MATCH: TWILIGHT PRINCESS
MATCH: OVERWHELMINGLY POSITIVE REVIEW
----AutoDigg'd---- - theragu40, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8Actually, he says that they are Gamecube quality, but rates them highly for their artistic style. RTFA
- shortkid422, on 10/12/2007, -3/+9Lol, his scores combined and then averaged give 9.8.
- tehJR, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6I heard the art direction is amazing and makes up for the lack of next gen graphics
- repruhsent, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7...and why do I care what lawrence.com's opinion of the game is again?
- darlok, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5too funny...
i give zelda a 61 out 137
what's my...it's pointless - jmdajr, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4who?????
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5lawrence.com, a bastion of video game knowledge and expertise!!!111!uno!1
Who?
BTW, my two cats give the new Zelda 2 paws up, WAY up! - Paroparo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4How high one rates the graphics on TP really depends on wether one appreciates artistic style, or high specs. I can still rate "The most beautiful thing I've ever seen, but was done with technology two years old" very high, but some videophiles have difficulty doing so.
- winnch, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3The reviewer states that the game and storyline can be incredibly confusing and that the graphics are lacking -- severely, considering it's playing on a modern gaming system. I don't understand how those two items alone are worth only 0.1 review points. The "9.9" rating seems to be based on a fanboy scoring system, not an insightful, well thought out review.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3SPOILERS? Do you mean to say that Link rescues Zelda from the evil Ganondorf at the end of the game?
In the words of that Harry Potter fan that got the latest book spoiled..."YOU BITCH!" - ZenMojo, on 10/12/2007, -2/+59.5 on graphics. I guess they're being lenient with launch titles.
- merdiesel, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Why is this thing getting dugg so much?...are people not reading the descriptions of the stories they digg or what?
- DrGamez, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Another no-name website giving a game a near perfect rating.
Whoopie. - Brereton55, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3who is this guy
- xLiKx, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3wow, an opinion from someone i don't care about. thanks. BURIED!
- ricree, on 10/12/2007, -3/+5Seriously. Who us Lawrence.com and why in the heck should we care what they think about this game.
- bdorry, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Graphics are not all about how many polygons a system can display. While the PS3 is much more powerful I haven't really seen any games that make really great use of the power besides adding more polygons and adding some more effects.
Regardless, it's nice to see that some reviewers ( regardless of how random this source is ) follow that rule of thought and don't downplay a games graphics on the systems technical specs. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Rock Chalk Jayhawk
- crilen007, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Things have been 10/10 for a long ***** time. And there is still 10/10 to come.
What kind of basis is that? - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Oh God...now people will randomly use "Lawrence.com" in their jokes to get positive diggs in other digg topics...damn...
- victoitor, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Since there exists HDTV, all SNES games should have at most 1.7 in graphics right?
Tsc, tsc, tsc... - tvon, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1It's "overall" not "average"
- gweedo767, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1I am so going to review this game for plainvillekansas.com!
- cnowacek, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Go back to your Gamecube in your mom's basement.
- GoalieStr1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0All reviews are based on the system that they are on. Hence why a game can get a 10/10 in the graphics dept for wii whereas it would never be able to get that on the ps3 or 360. It's perfectly fine basis to review games on. But it's great that you can lose your temper so easily over a simple comment
- Kent767, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0BEWARE he claims there are no spoilers, but then continues to let details sliip that I would've preferred not to read.
- crilen007, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1No, thats why we are waiting for reviews.
- guitarh3ro, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2"Is anyone else tired of hearing about "HOW AWESOME!!!11" Twilight Princess is?"
Not really.
Looks likke you're the odd man out.
Go away. - GoalieStr1, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0I think Zelda (from credible sites) is still going to get inflated scores. Not that it's a bad game, I think it is going to be amazing. But I just think they need to be careful when reviewing this game. It may be amazing... but it's a launch title. Giving it a 9.9 on day 1 apparently means there will be no room for growth in the (hopefully) sequels to follow on the Wii. Just my two cents
- KireGoTI, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1The score given doesn't seem out of order. Right now, Twilight Princess has a 9.8 on Game Rankings, outranking Ocarina of Time. This web site has reviewed 843 games, according to Game Rankings, spanning all major platforms. That's a fourth of the number of reviews done by Game Spy. Furthermore, this guy alone has reviewed eight titles in the last two weeks. Doesn't sound like a small-timer to me.
This is one of the big problems with the videogaming community... you know, IGN and Gamespot aren't the only two review sources out there. In fact, in case you've forgotten, those sites haven't always given the most accurate reviews, either. Personally, I read this review and I thought that it was insightful, revealing, and well-written.
And for everyone who says that people are waiting for Twilight Princess reviews... I don't need to wait for reviews. Do you honestly think that Twilight Princess isn't going to be good? Zelda has a pretty good track record... even Majora's Mask, which I found questionable at first, I considered a classic upon replaying it recently, on par with other games in the series.
Oh, and I almost forgot... dugg up. - tduermeier, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Maybe people were just desperate to see a glowing review of Twilight Princess?
Only thing notably linked to Lawrence.com (at least as it would fit in with Digg) is Adrian Holovaty's (who works for World Online) creation of the Django web framework (http://www.djangoproject.com/).
I know next to nothing about web design, but I know my roommate is quite impressed with Django in its incredible simplicity of implementation. - Jyuu, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Hey, give a couple of years and my Blogger blog will have hundreds of reviews on it. Naturally, I will review simple games like Solitaire, Vista Chess and Pac-Man to Final Fantasy XV.
By that time, my blog will be known as Digg worthy, right? - UGM2099, on 10/12/2007, -4/+3Lawence.com is based out of Lawrence, Kansas, a town known for a very strong music and culture scene.
- repruhsent, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0...and since your icon says "Wii" in it, you're not biased at all, are you?
- cnowacek, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1Is anyone else tired of hearing about "HOW AWESOME!!!11" Twilight Princess is?
- repruhsent, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0Are you this stupid in real life too or just online?
- merdiesel, on 10/12/2007, -10/+1Like the others, what the ***** is Lawrence.com?
Not to mention who the ***** names there site Lawrence.com... - PatrickFisher, on 10/12/2007, -29/+3oops. digg me down.
