- Urusai, on 10/12/2007, -0/+28There really is no hope for the human race.
- defectDS, on 10/12/2007, -0/+18Just wondering, how many people are actually paying with $600 in cash?
- Oxygen, on 10/12/2007, -0/+13That what you get for not rolling into a Wal-Mart strapped . We all know what kind of environments Wal-Marts are.
- supplekant, on 10/12/2007, -1/+14"In West Bend, Wisconsin, a 19-year-old man was injured when he ran into a pole racing with 50 others for one of 10 spots outside a Wal-Mart." Ahahaha.
- vvvv, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10Why is it always thugs that go around robbing people at gunpoint? Whatever happened to nicely dressed, well mannered armed robbers? This country is going to the dogs I tell you.
- vvvv, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8"News of young men fighting over a game console makes me wonder what would happen if things collapsed, economically speaking, in this country."
You'll find out in a few years. - idonthack, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7Did you read what you posted? They put one of the attackers in the hospital. I'm sure they've still got the PS3s unless they're being held as evidence.
- Aloyarc, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7I was kind of hoping for a battle royale somewhere.
- TheWriteGuy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7News of young men fighting over a game console makes me wonder what would happen if things collapsed, economically speaking, in this country.

Let's all see who can die the most horrific PS3 death. - Sp0rAdiC, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6"Andrew Templeton, 20, and David Wiggins, 28, of Sullivan, Indiana, were assaulted by two teens after waiting for 36 hours at a Super Wal-Mart, police said.
They were unloading their PlayStation 3s from their car when two teens approached them carrying a chain and a tire iron and demanding their consoles, said Sullivan Police Chief David Story.
A fight broke out. Wiggins' nose was broken, and he stabbed one of the attackers, Dylan Moss, 19, police said. Moss was in critical condition after surgery, officials said."
Well... did they manage to keep their PS3s? - krawkula, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Great warning, next console launch carry a taser. And while you get bored and see your friends dose off you can give them a shock.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4If i was there I would have had a friend wait out in the car. That way in case people do try to rob the line he can just drive up and run over them thugs.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5this is getting too ridiculous. they should either hire police with big ***** guns or just not do a launch sale
- LordSkywalker, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Damn. Made me squirt soda out of my nose. Thanks for the burning.
- endy64, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Get back in the line then, the next bullet may just come your way :)
- fantasticjon, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4I think this might have to do more with lack of supply.
- Oxygen, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Strapped = Possessing a Firearm.
- Aloyarc, on 10/12/2007, -3/+5"...Rolling into a Wal-Mart strapped..."
Is that like some new slang you kids have created? - kazzyD, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2For a compilation of the crazy specifics happening around the country as a result of the PS3 launch, check out:

- nickweb, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Today I am NOT proud to be a U.S. citizen. People often worry about losing their rights, yet today we are using those rights to the detriment of our wonderful country, all in the name of a video game system. We ought to be ashamed of ourselves.
- jcims, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Interesting social experiment they have going on here. Crime resulting from very limited supplies of a highly desirable product.
Hmmm, where have i seen this before... - symbianrocks, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1This is straight up crazy, but the dude that ran into the post made me laugh. I wish somebody would have YouTube'd it.
Here's a satellite photo of the Wal-Mart where the shooting happened:
www.ublip.com/blip/view/1928 - diktator279, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1people who wait in lines don't... well I think you can finish it.

"Well... did they manage to keep their PS3s?"
If not, it would be a good publicity move on Sony's part if they gave PS3s to the victims. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1The least he could have done would have been to bring a knife to that gun fight
- fallenone05, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1PS3, play beyond life or death
- quixand, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Ok yeah so....Putnam CT is about 20 minutes from me. I grew up around the area. I've been to the store. Just so you know...Putnam is about the size of...oh I dunno...but it's biggest commerce area is a antique district...to give you an example of how small hick-ish it is. I can't believe this *****. I hope they catch those *****....Moral of the story is however, when someone pulls a gun and just wants your money, give it to them. Pop Last Stand only in a life or death situation. Don't be a hero.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1America, America, this is you!
- temporal, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I've actually been in that Store, It's in a ***** little factory town. I do find it amusing that if you search Google for Putnam Connecticut you get "Putnam CT - The Heart of Connecticut's Quiet Corner"
- typeronin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Fighting with other people in line just makes the experience suck more. Waiting in line sucks...heck, waiting outside for anything sucks.
I mean...here: http://www.ededition.com/ps3-launch-sitting-outside-in-the-cold-is-not-fun/ - scabbers, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Do these people hold in their piss for 36 hours?
- jables, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1damn dude as sad as it is, people need to bring guns when getting there PS3 because that's pretty crazy
- peejay, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0that is crazy, as one radio host said locally... "its like early christmas gift for thieves, people standing in line with at least 700 dollars with them"
- Oxygen, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1" Is that like some new slang you kids have created? "
For Sheezy my Neezy. - diktator279, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1Did they drop any good loot?
- Asdfglpwglion, on 10/12/2007, -4/+0Well, I didn't know that usage. I guess that's what I get for not living in a country where firearms are typically legal.
- nooreazy, on 10/12/2007, -6/+2this much demand was not happening for X360
BWAHAHAH!! - Asdfglpwglion, on 10/12/2007, -5/+0strapped=strapped for cash=without (paper) money
