Disagreed. I know a lot of people with big hands that love this thing to death. When I held Halo Parties, I had to have 3 of them.

"the first controller to use now-standard motion controls to power games"
No, the Atari LeStick had that 2 years before the NES came out - slapded, on 06/22/2009, -3/+152 worst designed pages.

WTF is this 1999 - drstock, on 06/22/2009, -1/+11Personally I hate the Wiimote. For most games it's just inaccurate and laggy, and for virtual console games it's unergonomic.
- Yooree, on 06/22/2009, -0/+7I love their advertisement that pops up a video that you can't close, yet covers almost all of the text.
- augment, on 06/22/2009, -0/+7Is it just me or does this article sound like it was written by somebody that never really played videogames.
- kiffar, on 06/22/2009, -2/+9I loved the big Xbox controller
- xaeon, on 06/22/2009, -0/+7Yeah. I bet none of their journalists have been to video game school either.
- chris4404, on 06/22/2009, -0/+7Damn kids have to ruin everything.
- convergent, on 06/22/2009, -2/+8I loved the original Xbox controller.
- embryoinbloom, on 06/22/2009, -4/+10Since when does msnbc have any authority about what is good/bad for gaming?
- Brizzyce, on 06/22/2009, -1/+6I love the power glove... it's so bad.
- Airbear007, on 06/22/2009, -1/+6Wow buried for 6 pages of crap. Xbox controller rocked.
- arunforce, on 06/22/2009, -1/+5Since when did freedom of speech require authority? Don't like the article/source? Don't read it.
Besides, what are the chances that MSNBC has a gamer? Oh definitely astronomically low! That'd be ridiculous and a shame if they did! - zaren, on 06/22/2009, -1/+4What, no Intellivision?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intellivision#Game_co ...
No, that wasn't a trackpad or a click wheel, that was a (16-direction) D-pad hiding under a single plastic disk. I remember getting my fingers pinched more than once along the edge of that disk.
The controller also had action buttons along the sides of the controller, and the number pad was used for special commands in the game... but these buttons could change for each game, so you had to slide a special insert into the controller to indicate what buttons to push for each special function. - SkilledPrestO, on 06/22/2009, -0/+3Somehow they're all on page one, but I still have to keep clicking Next.
- Yousty, on 06/22/2009, -1/+4Couldn't agree more with the original Xbox controller. I always chose the big fat one over the S.
- protogenxl, on 06/22/2009, -1/+4But the Sega Master System Controller was the Superior Atari 2600 controller.
- hollywoodphony, on 06/22/2009, -0/+3I got a trend micro ad that not only covered up most of the article, but also the navigation buttons. Way to go!
- protogenxl, on 06/22/2009, -0/+3No as much as I disagree with Sony and their attitude the Playstation controller was an evolution off the SNES controller where the N64 controller was a stupid upside down Trident
- swizzcheez, on 06/22/2009, -0/+2This article is #1 in the broken paged lists category (it stayed completely 1/6 despite only having five pages that wrapped to the first after the fifth that, by the way, couldn't wrap backwards).
- Grazfather, on 06/22/2009, -0/+2Umm.. Gamecube.
- awtripp, on 06/22/2009, -0/+2I just hated the awkward position of the Black/white buttons
- enderwigin, on 06/22/2009, -0/+2i love the original xbox controller the new controller is so ***** tiny it piratically disappears in my hands
- melonhedd, on 06/22/2009, -0/+2Wii remote, DS touchscreen
- awtripp, on 06/22/2009, -0/+2I hated the genesis controller, the cord was only 3' long and my buttons ceased to spring back after a while. At least on the first generation controllers. Also, I liked how the plug was exactly the same as that of the Atari 800XL. Using a genesis controller with an 800XL was so much nicer -- granted only the B button worked as the single Atari button.
- cherwilco, on 06/22/2009, -1/+3what about the Uforce?

edit: lol forgot about the konami laserscope
http://www.i-mockery.com/minimocks/nes/7.php - twiztidsinz, on 06/22/2009, -1/+3***** YOU!
The Power Glove was AWESOME! - PostedOval, on 06/22/2009, -0/+2As a new owner of a used Atari 5200 from Craigslist...I can testify to how ***** that 5200 controller is. I have 5 of them now and none of them work properly. Shame too, cuz I got 32 cartridges with it...and can't play a single one.
- 1807, on 06/22/2009, -0/+2The only button you couldn't hit with the D-pad was the Z button. Any game that had you using the d-pad didn't require the z button anyways. I thought the N64 controller was dumb, but that's a terrible excuse.
- CalcProgrammer1, on 06/22/2009, -2/+3The Xbox controller was great, a little large but the button layout was good and the design is still good on the 360. I would have put the N64 controller instead of the Xbox, and only because the layout was a bit confusing and you couldn't use all of the buttons at once without switching hand positions.
- inactive, on 06/22/2009, -1/+2The power glove was the bomb.
- s4g4n, on 06/22/2009, -1/+2#5 looks cool for its time. I don't know about you but the keypad is to call your parents to pick you up.
- CoD4, on 06/22/2009, -2/+3***** 360 dpad and the genesis 3 button pad.
Now if you'll excuse me i'm gonna go own some n00bs on sf hd remix on psn - cwestpha, on 06/22/2009, -3/+4The original Xbox controller was one of the best controller I have ever had the pleasure of using. It fit in my hands nice and snug thanks to my long fingers. To me the PlayStation Controllers should take its place on the list, I keep getting thumb cramps whenever I try to use both analog sticks for extended periods of time.
- JCEEZ, on 06/22/2009, -1/+2me too! The little one they made blew ass too....
- Inceptious, on 06/22/2009, -2/+3The duke was awesome! It sucks if you have tiny hands though. I used the claw. THE CLAWWWWWWWWWWW
- cherwilco, on 06/22/2009, -0/+1oh ***** and the roll & rocker
http://www.i-mockery.com/minimocks/nes/22.php - awtripp, on 06/22/2009, -0/+1It was my childhood, too. ***** thing sucked.
- 1807, on 06/22/2009, -0/+1Does the Virtual boy count as a controller? I know it was a system, but it felt like a giant controller.
- diggforworld, on 06/22/2009, -1/+2I don't give a *****.
- NeoTechni, on 06/22/2009, -0/+1I loved it
- twiztidsinz, on 06/22/2009, -1/+2STOP RUINING MY CHILDHOOD!
- embryoinbloom, on 06/23/2009, -1/+1You really pulled a "freedom of speech" for that?
- awtripp, on 06/22/2009, -1/+1No it wasn't. You only want it to be. That was a terrible piece of ***** that didn't work.
- JCEEZ, on 06/22/2009, -1/+1unfortunately, websites have bills to pay.....
- NobodyWhoCares, on 06/22/2009, -2/+1Missed the old Intellivision and Fairchild Channel F controllers.. those two were probably the worst I've ever used. Especially the Intellivisions, the buttons and disc would go bad pretty quickly.
- planetidiot, on 06/22/2009, -2/+1Uh, not even close. Intellivision, Colecovision and Magnavox Oddysee are far far worse than the SMS or Xbox controllers. Atari 5200 and Jaguar I'll give you.
- matt2m, on 06/22/2009, -3/+2***** I have big hands and I loved the old duke controller and knew plenty who did. I went out of my way to find one since my original xbox came with the S type controllers. Also wasn't the reason the s type even came out was because of the Japanese / Asian market? correct me if I am wrong. The 360s controllers are good but since i got the messenger kit it fits my hands great and I keep it on even when I am not playing live.
Anyways what business does MSNBC have on this subject? It seems like fluff piece someone came up with in 5 minutes of research. - andrewlotta, on 06/22/2009, -3/+2Yeah but after using the original Xbox controller for an hour, your hands hurt like a bitch, and no masturbation would ensue until after a few days of recovery.
