- RobotBuddha, on 12/02/2008, -0/+97There's much more than 20 SF characters?
- bloominoctober, on 12/02/2008, -3/+91WTF? 20 clicks to view all 20? Do I LOOK like I have the time (or the patience) for that?
Ok, I do. **dips head in shame**
What a sad life I lead. - techmaster, on 12/03/2008, -0/+66Next, there will be a list showing the top 26 letters of the alphabet.
- smacksaw, on 12/03/2008, -0/+49***** Forbes.com slideshows. All slideshows are now Forbes.com
20. Yun and Yang - SF3
19. Sheng Long - Because that EG April Fools somehow warranted a mention when there were real characters to add
18. Dan - SFA - Who is so lame he should never be on any list unless it's for suckass SF chars
17. Dee-Jay - SSF2 - The only way they could have made him more racist is a chicken and waffle victory pose
16. Alex -SF3
15. Ibuki - SF3 - Hey, at least she's not Naruto
14. Dhalsim - SF2 - These guys are on crack if he isn't Top 3
13. Sakura SFA2 - Pedobear approves
12. Vega (Balrog) - SF2
11. E Honda - SF2
10. Guile - SF2 - At least there's no Jean Claude Van Damme on this list, but he's still better than Dan or Sheng Long
9. Akuma (Gouki) - SSF2T
8. Sagat - SF
7. Cammy - SSF2
6. Ken - Dhalsim should be before Ken
5. M Bison (Vega) - SF2
4. Blanka - SF2
3. Zangief - SF2
2. Ryu - SF2 - There's a surprise
1. Chun Li - SF2 - What a disappointment - ileftfark, on 12/02/2008, -1/+34Ryu is the best. Everyone knows that. Chun Li copied her weak-ass fireball from him.
- S4MF1SHER, on 12/02/2008, -2/+23Cammy FTW
- toshiro7, on 12/02/2008, -2/+21Needs more Chun-Li pics.
- dereksdontrun, on 12/02/2008, -0/+17Lame list. One from Alpha? Shen long has a place on the list? Dan? Ugh.
- ParasyteStuie, on 12/03/2008, -2/+19Yup.
The 12 from the first Street Fighter game (which sucked horribly, and you could only play as Ryu or Ken);
Then another 14 more that were introduced in the Street Fighter II series (9 more besides Ken, Ryu, and Sagat in the original, then another 4 in Super and Akuma in Super Turbo);
Then another 14 more that were introduced in the Street Fighter Alpha (1 1/2) series (5 in the original that weren't in the first two, then 2 more in the second, then 7 more in the third (counting home versions by the latest release));
Then 16 more in the Street Fighter III series (everyone besides Ken, Ryu, Chun-Li, and Akuma were new);
And 6 more in the Street Fighter IV (2 1/2 by storyline) arcade game, which has yet to hit consoles. So that's 62 altogether, SO FAR.
THEN, if you count all the various cross-over games, it's well over a hundred. - nublet, on 12/02/2008, -0/+17mmm... cameltoe cammy...
- RyanCoke, on 12/03/2008, -1/+13Zangief beat Vega. Dan made the list?
Who made this list? I call bull. - ParasyteStuie, on 12/03/2008, -5/+17Hit with the ladies.....?
OHHHHHH!!!! I get it, you mean because I'm a fan of the game, I must be some gamer nerd with no life who lives in my mother's basement! ROFL!
Seriously, man, that was ***** was epic. Bravo. - RaysinX, on 12/03/2008, -1/+12Dhalsim at 14...... *****!
- Derelict267, on 12/03/2008, -0/+10Game Daily's polls all ***** suck. Where the ***** is dudley? 20 pages? *****.
- inactive, on 12/02/2008, -1/+11evidently, there are 62. go figure...
- Wriggle, on 12/03/2008, -0/+10unfortunately, you're dead wrong.
- webkami, on 12/02/2008, -0/+9Just click this guys, save yourself some time ...
http://www.gamedaily.com/articles/galleries/top-20 ... - john2kx, on 12/03/2008, -2/+111. Create a meaningless top 20 list, and spread it out over 20 pages to inflate your hit count.
2. Put lots of ads on each page, and submit it to Digg.
3. ???
4. Profit! - aelias, on 12/03/2008, -0/+8I'm not allowed to play as Chun-Li in my house. It's considered bad form.
- Niubai, on 12/03/2008, -0/+7Street Fighter is:
Ken, Ryu, Chun-li, Zangief, Blanka, Guile, Dhalsim, E-Honda, Balrog, Vega, Sagat, M. Bison.
Golden times of the arcades (at least for me), beginning of the 90's ... good memories. - LtXenodite, on 12/03/2008, -0/+6Up next, the ten most used digits!
- JammoBlammo, on 12/03/2008, -0/+6You've never seen a good Dhalsim. I could whoop your ass in all directions with him.
- ZombieKiss, on 12/03/2008, -0/+6The best part of playing with Dan is winning with Dan.
- eloestea, on 12/03/2008, -0/+5man, if you really knew how to play zangief, you could seriously hurt people....most people didnt bother to learn how to play him though. you were the man back on the snes or in the arcade if you could pull off that 360 slam on a fool. you know how many quarters i took with that move?
im not directing this toward you, homey but:
knowing how to play any character > mashing buttons with a popular character. - tmyprod, on 12/03/2008, -7/+12you must be a hit with the ladies.
- eloestea, on 12/03/2008, -0/+5get the hell out of here before I hit-slam you with ryu!
- MarkusDee, on 12/03/2008, -1/+61. Ken
2. Ryu - rightbrainnow, on 12/03/2008, -0/+5Man, I have to disagree with your suggested spot for Dhalsim. I felt like Dhalsim was only strong if you put a TON of time into practicing with him and using him. Dhalsim always felt kind of boring to me, but I could always tell that when i played someone very skilled with Dhalsim...i was in for a good fight. Man, I am so ripped right now and want to play SF II so bad.
- Weaselski, on 12/03/2008, -0/+5this ***** is even dumber than the top 50 states list
- GalacticRerun, on 12/02/2008, -0/+4So what's this based on? Character design or how good they are to play? I always like the tribute characters like Fei Long or Balrog or the Andre the Giant guy.
- phxsuns32, on 12/03/2008, -0/+4Dhalsim only deserves to be that low if it was the Dhalsim from the live action film.
- XFLOP20, on 12/02/2008, -3/+7*sees "page 1 of 21" *...I'll just guess that Ryu is number 1.
- spenner, on 12/02/2008, -1/+5Probably the most pointless 20 clicks I have made on t'internet
- blackinthmiddle, on 12/03/2008, -0/+4Zangeif in SFII was essentially unbeatable because he could put the spinning pile driver on from such a great distance. I have fond memories of going to the arcade on 47th and Broadway in NYC (no longer there) and spending an entire hour beating anyone who played me. They'd come up, see my playing with him and just assume they'd take me off because everyone thinks Zangeif is garbage. Three spinning pile drivers later, they're toast!
It's the reason they weakened him after SFII. - RadiatedAnt, on 12/03/2008, -2/+6Akuma in my opinion needs to be in the top 5 at least. Ken being #1
- LegomanArt, on 12/03/2008, -1/+5You either have no idea what you're talking about, played the game once and decided it was crap, or you just generally can't recognize the complex fighting system and technical aspects of the game, but without any doubt you are an idiot.
- SolitarySoviet, on 12/03/2008, -0/+4no makoto? should have been "Tp 20 street fighter characters IF we forget about SF 3rd strike..."
- EmailAddress, on 12/03/2008, -0/+4that's what I'm talking about, Ken's the best.
- blackinthmiddle, on 12/03/2008, -0/+4The best in what way? Strongest? I guess it depends on the version you're talking about. In SFII, Ryu couldn't hold a candle to Guile. Sure, Guile had to charge up all of his moves, but he recovered from them the quickest. Ryu throws his fireball and Guile counters with a sonic boom and a backslap to Ryu's face while he's still posing after throwing his fireball. They weakened Guile, Dhalsim and Zangeif after SFII, because if you knew how to play those three characters, they were essentially unbeatable, especially Zangeif.
- mike81890, on 12/03/2008, -1/+5props for SF devotion
- ParasyteStuie, on 12/03/2008, -0/+4Chessying?
- blackinthmiddle, on 12/03/2008, -0/+3Clearly, this list is not based on which characters were most powerful. In SFII, Guile and Dhalsim where two of the most powerful Characters. The most powerful was actually Zangeif and the reason was/is his spinning pile driver.
He could be three body widths away and still grab you with it. And it takes about 35% of your power each time. When I played with Zangeif, I would just keep blocking and walking towards my opponent. Throw all the fireballs you want. Eventually I'd be close enough that I could apply the spinning pile driver. And if you attacked me with a flying punch or kick, the instant you hit the ground it's a spinning pile driver for you! And once I do it, you might as well let go of the controls because as you get back up, I would do flying chest attack/short leg kick/spinning pile driver combo. It was a cheesy pattern, but one that could not be broken and is the reason that in future versions, they made Zangeif separate really far away after doing his pile driver, so that you couldn't keep doing it.
So uh...yeah...this list was not based on strength of each character. - peruvianidol, on 12/03/2008, -1/+4Worst character? T. Hawk. The guy is supposed to be Mexican but he's dressed like a Native American? WTF They should have just made him a luchador.
- tacomablack, on 12/03/2008, -0/+3How did dan get on the list?
Where is Karin, Fei Long and Gen? - ZombieKiss, on 12/03/2008, -0/+3Sagat and Guile were already there, no need for those two.
- panpizza15, on 12/03/2008, -1/+4No one's more badass than this guy...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u-0PcYlQgjY&feature ... - sachinag, on 12/03/2008, -0/+3I really like GameDaily, I really do - but their total linkbait is lame as hell. Top 20 Street Fighters? Top girls in games we're thankful for? NO THANK YOU.
- LegomanArt, on 12/03/2008, -0/+3Was this list in any particular order?
- kingmanic, on 12/03/2008, -0/+3Hugo, from final fight who appears in Street Fighter 3 with a few of the hookers from Final Fight.
