- cycac, on 11/27/2007, -0/+6Was there ever a direct sequel to Secret of Mana? I loved that game.
- tendonut, on 11/27/2007, -0/+1Saying that game just caused me to have a flashback of the golden age of video games....thank god I still have my SNES and it is in mint condition, still hooked up to my 42" LCD. I love that system so much....
- Sarevok9, on 11/27/2007, -0/+1They made a VERY similar one for the PS2, however I don't think its a sequel in terms of same characters / plot. SOM 2-4 were pretty disappointing also.
- Aflyctus, on 11/27/2007, -0/+1Never anything worth mentioning. I am playing through that game right now, and would love to see them make a worthwhile sequel to the game.... What happened after you took out everybody... or better yet, a remake for the new generation of consoles... I pretty much love it the way it is.
- gmiley, on 11/27/2007, -0/+1I thought I heard of something for the PS2 recently, but I don't know if it will be/is a direct sequel. That is definitely a sequel I would really love to get. Secret of Mana was a wonderful game. I never liked the pseudo-sequels they put out for that series unfortunately.
- inactive, on 11/27/2007, -0/+3Download a SNES emulator an get Seiken Densetsu III. Find 3 people to play and it's pretty damn fun. Not as good as SOM, but still very enjoyable. I would love to see a true 4 player sequel as well.
- Rakuseki, on 11/27/2007, -0/+1If you liked Secret of Mana (Seiken Densetsu 2 for JP fans) then there's quite a few sequels and prequels, manga, anime, et cetera. Seiken Densetsu 3 is quite popular. If you like that style of Action RPG I might also recommend Terranigma and Tales of Phantasia.
- danth, on 11/27/2007, -0/+1The direct sequel to Secret of Mana was Seiken Densetsu 3 , but it was only released in Japan. You can download the translated ROM though.
In the US we got Legend of Mana, Children of Mana, and Sword of Mana (a remake of Seiken Densetsu 1), and now Heroes of Mana, but none of the are as good as Secret of Mana/Seiken Densetsu 2. Only Children of Mana has similar gameplay.
But, yeah, Secret of Mana really needs a true sequel in the US.
