5. Active Worlds - Virtual Reality 3D World created by Active Worlds in 1997.
6. Meet Me - Opening in December this Japanese version will have excellent graphics. Created by Transcosmos, Inc. It will be based on Tokyo Japan and will be G rated with many rules such as no flying.
7. My World - Secret Google Second Life Killer being tested by students at Arizoan State University. Will integrate with all of Google’s other services making this the most usefull of all the online virtual 3d Worlds. Alas it isn’t available yet….
8. HiPiHi - Developed in China and heavily censored by the government.
9. A World of My Own - Created by Sir Richard Branson with Virgin Games owning a 20 percent stake.
10. Moove - German based virtual world created in 1994. Emphais on 3d Chat and dating. Based on rooms instead of worlds. - inactive, on 10/18/2007, -1/+5WoW doesn't even belong at all. It is a game that happens to take place in a virtual world.

- Jordan117, on 10/19/2007, -0/+1Whoah, Active Worlds... that takes me back a bit. I'd tried it out years ago, but the crap computer I had at the time couldn't handle it. I revisited the place (is it technically a place...?) a few days ago on a free tourist account, and it's surreally creepy. Most of its former paying users have moved on, leaving behind hundreds of (virtual) square miles of abandoned buildings they'd constructed together.
Take the old "Ground Zero" of the main world, Alphaworld, located at coordinates 0N, 0W. It's been around for ten years, and was so old that the world's entry point was moved to another location. It used to be a bustling crossroads of Times Square proportions, full of billboards and people and links to other worlds. Now it's dead. The only signs of life are a few flickering sprite animations and the occasional looping sound file. And the creepiness only increases as you move away from the central plaza and get lost in the bizarre, overcrowded "neighborhoods" surrounding it, stretching out forever. It's like the ultimate anarchist utopia, devoid of life and frozen in time -- a digital, dreamlike Pompeii.

- inactive, on 10/18/2007, -1/+1yes my name is mikhail and im a hardcore video game nerd, to the bone. the worlds i mentioned above are not only sad because its just msn with 3d graphics its not fun, i rather meet people on WoW and battle with them, but i dont play Wow. not sit in a vitural lounge and talk, if i wanted to do that i would go to a real club, to bad i cant fight orcs, demons and trolls in real life thats why i woudl play games like morrwoind. if people wanna make friends in a pseudo 3d world of a real life, i would do it in real life. if i wanted to shoot demons i would play doom since i cannot really shoot demons in real life as i have not found any.

Hair should not fall into your back, and start going through you it needs to be scripted to see you as a solid object and when it lands onto you stops and lays on your back, Positioning stuff
