- kinesis8, on 10/12/2007, -1/+32I personally would have put Forza 2 on the list instead of Project Gotham Racing 4
http://media.xbox360.ign.com/media/743/743956/imgs_1.html - totorototoro, on 10/12/2007, -0/+19Definitely Mass Effect and Assassin's Creed.
- DatoeDakari, on 10/12/2007, -1/+15Haha, I like the sarcasm about Halo:-)
- TheRingmaster, on 10/12/2007, -3/+16Did you play the Xbox remake of CBFD? It blew ass, they totally butchered it. The multiplayer is like a completely different game.
Rare doesn't make 'em like they used to anymore if you haven't noticed.
The writing for Halo 3 in the article is pretty funny by the way. - Zybex, on 10/12/2007, -1/+11henrythehorse:
1) You are a retard.
2) Not all XBOX gamers have PCs capable of playing newer games if they have one at all.
3) The phrase you wanted was "sheep in wolves clothing".
4) you are a retard. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9I would love to see a new Conkers Bad Fur Day sequel on the Xbox 360 now that Rare is owned by Microsoft. I am trying to think now of titles not on the list that I am looking forward too...oh, Halo Wars. That is another title I am looking forward to on the Xbox 360!
- negativefx, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7i totally agree with you...forza was way better than pgr2, and even pgr3....
- rstarr, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7Yes.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Forza's in-car view probably won't match anything PGR3 had, and that was a huge selling point of that game -- the first racing game where you actually felt like you were inside an actual car. Also, I don't think it's a stretch to say that PGR games have far better environments to race in than Forza, and based on these screenshots PGR3 may be a better graphical package as well (PGR4 will probably surpass it even more).
But on the other things, like gameplay elements and features? Maybe Forza 2 has an edge, but it's hard to tell because we still know absolutely nothing about PGR4. It's a little hard comparing them, though. Forza is a hardcore simulation and PGR is more of an arcade game (with realistic driving physics). They probably should've included both games on this list. - Nobi-Wan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6@ henrythehorse
Unlike you, I have a computer for WORK and I decided to use it exclusively for that. I don't want to worry more about what new $600 video card I need to upgrade to in order to play the newest game. I play games for fun and on the cheap, which is why I have a DS and an Xbox 360. Oh, and Sony only knew about gaming with the Playstation 1 & 2. Their $600 Blu-ray player with gaming thrown in can lick my hairy balls. - edgecurve, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7Guitar Hero II - April 3, 2007 - Yes!!
- SomeManbeapig, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6dugg down because you had to ask that
- ahhell, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6"Army of Two" Most wanted???
WAHHH?
Not in my book. - jumboyd, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Wow, don't flatter yourself or anything. If I was going to pose something, it wouldn't be a gamer.
- rstarr, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6Wow....He sounds like all of Japan.
- jake8689, on 10/12/2007, -4/+8@ Theringmaster
actually its the opposite they make just like they used to and that's the problem, if golden eye came out today as the same but it looked better it would suck and you know it, but for its time it was amazing. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -3/+7Halo 3 > *
- rstarr, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Ok list, the Halo 3 was *cute*
Mine (assuming all of these are 07, some could be 08, I have no idea)
1. Halo 3- Love it or hate it, you KNOW you want to try it.
2. Assasin's Creed- Did you watch the trailers? I mean come the ***** on!
3. Bioshock- Simply epic in mere outline, I can't imagine how it will be fleshed out.
4. Alan Wake- It might destroy my sense of reality.
5. Half-Life 2 Orange- Simply for Portal. Not that TF2 and HL2 looks incredible and is respectively, but I've already thought of things to try in Portal...in my sleep.
6. GTA IV- GTA III was my favorite and the franchise has only added a few features since, I hope with this one, as with every GTA, will give that same level of innovation that happened between GTA 2 and 3.
7. Fable 2- I think everyone will give Fable 2 a second chance. We all wanted Fable soo bad and all died a little inside when we finished it and that was it.
8. Too Human- I'm intrigued. I have no rational behind this other then that I would really, really like to play this game.
9. Forza 2- Way cooler feel the PGR and after all, it's that what counts?
10. Lost Odyssey- The trailer made me want to go buy a sword. - Obsydian, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Forza 2 is the reason I bought my Wheel. Not PGR4. I'm with everyone else on this one, Forza 2 is gonna be awesome.
- kcpwnsgman, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5for those of you that are wondering, there is a top 10 most wanted PC games after this article and top 10 PS3 before it. (and Wii before that)
- Paladin27, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4I concur, how could they not include Forza 2! That game is the only reason I bought my 360! All the other games are just icing on the cake for me.
- chris9902, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Fable, Banjo-Kazooie, HALO Wars and Forza 2 need to be added to that list.
- Kinser, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I can do without Army of Two it dosn't sound that great. But other than that, I expect to get all those games.. Pretty decent list.
- Cannfodd3r, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Fortunately, it'll be the arcade version of DD, which is far superior.
- Blandyman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2sinisterdexter:
i hated the cliffhanger ending, too, but to say that's why it's bad? please, shut the ***** up.
you're whining because you didn't get to finish the game. no one whined when Star Wars: Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back made you wait until Return of the Jedi.
Then again, Bungie did make a big mistake: not ending the sidestory properly. That's what all great film series have in common... a sidestory that started and ended in each individual film.
Halo 2 had one, the Arbiter storyline. Unfortunately, it wasn't nearly as satisfying as it could have been. - bigdawg, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Definitely Assassin's Creed for me. I can't wait to see more on BioShock and Alan Wake, those seem like very interesting titles. I will probably pick up Halo 3 and Grand Theft Auto as I have always been a fan of the series. Assassiin's Creed is the most exciting title on that list for me.
- HappyScrappy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2CBFD was not good. The multiplayer (Live and Reloaded) was awful.
Oddly, the version of Shadowrun shown at E3 last year reminded me a lot of Live and Reloaded.
I wouldn't under any circumstances play either of them voluntarily. - lysernix, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I know those are all just tiny little screen shots, but for some reason the 360 shots all looked vastly superior to the PC shots??? What's going on here!? (Excited about both though)
- dan.edwards, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Until I saw this info I did not even have any interest in a 360. Hey I love my Wii, but I would buy a 360 simply to play any game from the makers of System Shock... The story and the atmosphere of that game just sucked you and physically forced you to play until you collapsed. Add to the fact that BioShock looks to kick arse and I had better start saving my pennies again.
- Barbarino, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3NO FORZA??? That list is for geeks who can't get a girlfriend. Real men don't play those games, but they do play Forza and GTA!
- thorbergdt, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2What about Castlevania and Double Dragon?! I can't wait for those old school NES games to come on back to the Arcade.
- SharkyTech, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Glad to see all the games I'm looking forward to on the list. Between GH2, Mass Effect and Assassins Creed I'm not sure I have the time (or cash) for Halo 3. This year's games really are going to blow the PS3 out of the water.
- anamanaman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1No way Fable 2 will be out 2007. Holiday 2008 is probably the most likely scenario. I try not to think about it since I want that game way too much and cant even imagine that far into the future.
- Bahimiron, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I crave Alan Wake.
However, from what I've seen, it has sorta been kind've subtly moved from 2007 expectations to 2008. - autocrawler, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1The amusing thing here is that
Half of the games listed in this list are going to be released for the PC.
Half of the games listed in the "Most Wanted PC Games" of 2007 are going to be released on the X360.
Speak about crossplatform development Microsoft is seemingly pushing for all the time.
Myself, I'd prefer to have all of those on my PC just so I can enjoy the higher quality of visuals, but hey, I guess it's ok even the way it is. - anamanaman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Huh? Where Daikatana come from? Assassins creed was announced like 8 months ago. Daikatana was in development for like 6 years.
- joper90, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1im not actually holding out too much hope for AC.. i think it may be another Daikatana, i.e over hyped to death.. then doesn't meet expectations.. i feel that it will not be as free roaming as we hope, and suffer the invisible wall syndrome.
but i have confidence in ME - knyghtryda, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Having no consoles except a DS, I'm still really looking forward to Assassin's Creed. If its what it looks like (a good mix of Hitman style crowd-based gameplay and Splinter Cell style sneaking) then I can't wait for it to hit the PC. PC wise... I just got Supreme Commander which was my #1 must have game for the year :) Otherwise, it would be a tossup between Crysis, UT3, and Bioshock. I'm also really really curious about Stalker.
- Nobi-Wan, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2That's funny, I counted 5 or 6. And the PS3 list has even less exclusives.
Looking at the PS3 list is kind of sad, actually. I'm not a hater, but the only games on there worth mentioning and aren't exclusives are MGS4 and Devil May Cry 4. Warhawk has since become a downloadable game and Stranglehold? Meh. That game is coming to the 360 as well and looks only like a decent rental. - enforcerpsu, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1http://www.duggmirror.com
- anamanaman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1My Xbox360 enabled me to ditch my PC for good and not have to worry about gaming. Its very nice not having windows crash every ***** 2 hours.
- xekcc, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Xbox 360 tears PS3 in all holes
- Barnolde, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Why is Army of Two in there? Who cares about that? It'll be an 8 game at best.
- Matteos, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1What about Spore?
- lysernix, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1For all of the great things about Halo 2, it had some very bad character acting for a campaign mode. Hopefully Halo 3 has improved this.
- spidoman, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Interesting that only 3 of the 10 are exclusives. Just saying...
- SlackerCSB, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2Buy a Wii?
- HappyScrappy, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Ugh, better than PGR2, or even PGR3? PGR2 was better than PGR3.
PGR3 looked better, but with no actual car class restrictions, there was no reason to drive any car other than the first one you bought after the one you started with.
I'm interested in Forza2. I'd love to see PGR4 too, assuming it will return to PGR2 levels (best on road non-sim racer so far). I'd love to see Rallisport Challenge 3 too (Rallisport Challenge 2 is a fantastic game and best looking racing of its generation, besting Forza and GT4 handily).
I am disappointed the 360 racing wheel is not very good (I have one). It'd too bad you can't use 3rd party wheels with 360. - Aleman360, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2Here's my list with games that are exclusive to the 360 (with a few that are on PC too):
Halo 3
Forza 2
Mass Effect
Blue Dragon
Lost Odyssey
Bioshock
Command and Conquer 3
Too Human
Eternal Sonata
Project Gotham Racing 4 - jrcarscadden, on 10/12/2007, -4/+3It seems all these top ten most wanted games are really the top ten most hyped games, no?
Assassin's Creed looks very good, however. -
