Keep in mind they do contain spoilers. And for anyone not willing to read through 8 pages, basically: possibly best game ever made, Wii controls are better than Gamecube's, no one got to the 3rd dungeon (out of 9) in the full 2 days, and it's supposedly about 70hrs long. - Quix, on 10/12/2007, -1/+19Sorry, many people (even adults!) aren't interested in drug dealer and pimp simulations or bouncing boobie volleyball.
Enjoy your "hardcore gamer" lameness. - wingnut21, on 10/12/2007, -1/+15Wow, that's a lot of gameplay, especially when you think of it like this:
It costs less than one dollar an hour to play Zelda: Twilight Princess. Screw movie prices, the money to value ratio is insane! - baudelaire, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7Yeah, I read Casamassina's three pages, but then, all I REALLY wanted to know was if the wiimote was functional enough or a hindrance. So, there really is no reason to read any impressions or reviews for me, because I'm getting it nonetheless. Wiimote works=done deal.
- saeche, on 10/12/2007, -3/+9you're retarded
- Mudhoney, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Even if you are a hardcore gamer, I don't see what good it would do to buy another version of a game that is mirrored.
- cam2009, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6Evidently there was an agreement to simultaneously publish all zelda impressions at once. here's Kotaku's:
http://www.kotaku.com/gaming/feature/handson-the-legend-of-zelda-twilight-princess-212137.php - saeche, on 10/12/2007, -4/+8>Adults aren't particularly interested in swanning around the loungeroom to play game that's for sure.
Speak for yourself, buster. - phogasmic, on 10/12/2007, -5/+9the wii is going to be number one.
- Aeron, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4jsaic, then don't play it you tool. No one is forcing you to...
- qu1ckz, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4The reviewers complaint about a slow start really doesn't bother me, since the start needs to get the new and even the old players used to the Wii controls. Furthermore, the beginning must set-up the story of the game so it can't be rushed. I kind of get the feeling that the reviewer wanted an action game like Prince of Persia, instead of the adventure type game that LoZ is so famous for.
- SharinganBob, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5This game will be ***** epic.
- SeBBBe, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4Im thinking that becuase the game is mirrored, maybe it's a good idea to get the GCN version as well? I mean, being the hardcore gamer I am, it'd be quite funny to play it through another time with everything mirrored. It probably looks and feels quite different.
Maybe I wouldnt stand the gamecube controls after having completed the wii version tho... - AhrenBa, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4Amazing.....simply amazing....
- calvinosaurus, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3The gonintendo review is the best one to read if you want to avoid spoilers.
- Ignignokt01, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4Yeah, cam2009 pretty much summed it up.
- SeBBBe, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Same for me. I dont want too much spoilt but on the other hand... I just. cant. wait. for the game to come out :-)
- SeBBBe, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3Because it looks different and you can squeeze additional fun out of your favorite Zelda title?
"Oh man... This place looks funky mirrored" :)
It'll also help you lose orientations in dungeons youve already been to. - SqueakyWheel, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3I thought to play Twilight Princess its gonna set you back 300 dollars, so that is around DVD price of entertainment value.
- SeBBBe, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1"Sorry, many people (even adults!) aren't interested in drug dealer and pimp simulations or bouncing boobie volleyball."
I dont mind that at all. I love GTA, for one. But I love Nintendo more because their games are more fun. What's more mature; playing the games that are fun or desperately trying to get better "status" by playing games with violent or sexual content? I mean, if those games are fun I play them, but not because of the themes. - vagarach, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1What is this game mirroring thing? Everything is flipped about the y axis?
- IheartZombies, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0@zetsurin
So is it illegal to buy games for multiple platforms now? I can't own Gears of War AND LoZ? *****...
BTW, it seems like adults (my wife, her parents, my parents, some of our friends) who don't play video games seem a little more prone to playing the Wii than other consoles that have games they consider complex. They are actually looking forward to flailing around like an idiot and having fun with a group of people, instead of isolating themselves from everyone and playing (insert hardcore gamer title here). - SeBBBe, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Yup, exactly. Link is, as you probably know, traditionally left handed. Most people, however, are right handed and since they were going to control his sword directly in this game, they decided to mirror the entire game. I have no idea why since they could've changed the Link model...
- IheartZombies, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Sorry but your opinion is inaccurate. Let's face it, in the end, you have no taste and you're kind of an idiot. I don't care how you slice it, (unless it's your own throat), you not spending your $250 won't bother Nintendo or any of us. Looks like nobody cares. Have a great day.
- RobDeBob, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0This is not in regards to the reviews, but to the latest trailer:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KqUqxVKd5q0
It looks like Navi is back. Or at least a fairy denizen of Hyrule. In all the hype I completely forgot to make this observation. I can see it now:
Navi: LOOK! LISTEN!
*Midna swats Navi out of the air*
Midna: Damned sentient glowing orb. BACK TO WORK, Link!
If anything like this scene is included in Twilight Princess, it'll easily be my favorite. ^.^
That said, Twilight Princess is shaping up to not only be the best Zelda game of all time, but also the best Nintendo game and possibly best video game of all time. A part of me dies at night when I realize I didn't spend the day playing Twilight Princess. We have a consensus from three highly well-known and revered reviewers that:
- Controls are perfect, add to immersion (visceral feel of sword swings, sounds from Wiimote)
- Length is INSANE (seventy hours!)
- Storyline and backstory/personalities of characters are thought out, have depth, and are engaging
- Worlds are massive
- No denying that the game looks beautiful, even if the graphics aren't comparable with Xbox 360 and PS3 titles
- Implied that it is indeed better than OoT, commonly seen as the best video game in existence
Could this game get any better? Perhaps more importantly, could the collective hype of gamers get any greater?!
OMG. OMG. OMG. - roar84, on 10/12/2007, -7/+4Yeah I hate how they make you play as a damn wolf. Just like in majora's mask where you had to play as a goron, and a fish, and a deku shrub. There hasn't been a good zelda game since ocarina and i don't think there ever will be. The developers who made zelda titles back then are completley different today.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -5/+3Full. On. Zelda. Chubby.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -7/+2he's a ***** wolf!!!
- slothlovechunk, on 10/12/2007, -6/+0yeah
- zetsurin, on 10/12/2007, -15/+2Well considering the PS3 won't have any stock I guess it may be one this holiday season but with games like this as supposedly the cream of the crop it won't be there for long. Plus Gears of War will be out soon on XBOX360 won't it? Nobody will look past that to this crummy game. I think Digg is just overcrowded by little Cartmans at the moment. Adults aren't particularly interested in swanning around the loungeroom to play game that's for sure.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -18/+4i don't want to play as a ***** wolf!!!
- navster15, on 10/12/2007, -23/+5Sorry, but to call this the best launch title ever is innaccurate. Let's face it, in the end, this is a GameCube port that is shoehorned to fit the Wii. I don't care how they slice it, swinging a remote to emulate a sword and widescreen support do no warrant an additional $250 purchase. Looks like I'll be waiting until December 13th.
- rushpage, on 10/12/2007, -34/+2Ghey, ghey, ghey.
Shame, too. The Wii seems like a good console but the games are all aimed at kids and D&D geeks. :(

What is Digg?
