- Vaux, on 10/10/2007, -4/+96Why couldn't they come up with this 5yrs. ago?
- mexa44, on 10/10/2007, -1/+42Seems strangely similar to the "Independence" exploit...
- notperm, on 10/10/2007, -3/+37Soon enough this will get hacked and you will be able to use a regular memory card.
Can't wait. - qubesquare, on 10/10/2007, -6/+33i still play my ps2 daily... this will be great!!!!
- Jeffito123, on 10/10/2007, -7/+34Negative Nelly? WTF?
- aDJsavedmylife, on 10/10/2007, -4/+30Don't mean to be a Negative Nelly. But this is just an article on a site with some crappy screenshots with some bad fonts on..Anyone could do this and make this claim...hmm..
- Agret, on 10/10/2007, -0/+20"this can easily be done at home with a codebreaker, a usb drive, and a normal memory card."
Or this one device... - IMADV8, on 10/10/2007, -2/+20What the diddly dang doodly kind of phrase is that?
- straxus, on 10/10/2007, -0/+18What's wrong with that? Sounds like a legitimate business model to me.
- roxya, on 10/10/2007, -2/+19People are all talking about Next Gen, while I'm still trying to find the time to complete MGS3, DMC1/3, DQ8, God Hand, R&C:UYA, Odin Sphere, ICO and Okami :
- juicebag, on 10/10/2007, -2/+19This will be excellent. In my opinion, PS2 is still the best console out there due to all the games.
- carpespasm, on 10/10/2007, -0/+17because most people don't yet have a codebreaker
- diggitizer, on 10/10/2007, -1/+17I agree! it is a shame they didn't make this for the #1 selling console of *today*!
Oh wait... - ChildeRoland420, on 10/10/2007, -0/+13His point was that the PS2 is the #1 selling console today. Which it is.
- Cyber_Akuma, on 10/10/2007, -0/+13I believe she is married to Positive Pete. Their son is Neutral Ned.
- supersaw, on 10/10/2007, -0/+12Hmm arn't 80% of digg articles like that
- benitojuarez, on 10/10/2007, -0/+12They meant all bios revisions of the ps2 console, scphxxxxx and so forth. You are the worst beta tester ever.
- camintmier, on 10/10/2007, -1/+11It's already possible. Do a search on "Independence Exploit". Only problem, it doesn't work on V12 or newer PSTwo's (yet).
- Shippwreck87, on 10/10/2007, -0/+10I'd love to know the kind of endings you've seen in video games if you think MGS3 had a bad one... IMO it was one of the best I've watched.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8oh totally, Sony has completely given up on the Ps3
Go walk off a cliff, idiot - TypeEE, on 10/10/2007, -1/+8lighter ps2 can't put Harddrive in like the old bulky one. HDLoader loads games 10x faster than dvd disc
- skunk3gr33n1, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7What? Become an engineer and forgo all the sex he could be having?
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -1/+8I am poor and i like stealing so STFU. not everyone is born with a silver spoon.
- johlin, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6No.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -4/+10I was FINALLY about to purchase a x360... but now ***** it.
- BrainRecall, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5Because they don't have circuit schematics and software source code. They have to reverse-engineer the entire thing, and as time goes by they learn more about the system.
Do not underestimate the work that goes into reverse engineering an advanced system like a game console (especially considering they design these things to be difficult to reverse engineer). - PawFox, on 10/10/2007, -1/+6Who said I was going to pirate games? I am a big homebrew fan. I support sony and why when I can I buy the games.
- Griiih, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5SMS Media player has that covered.
http://www.maxconsole.net/?mode=news&newsid=6603 - ThugATRON, on 10/10/2007, -5/+9If it does all it claims its a win for everyone. Hell I'll even buy the new lighter PSTwo!
- Markpdotcom, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4Thats the old not working website, correct link here: http://www.psx-scene.com/sms/eng/index.htm
- CLShortFuse, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4My method: SwapMagic 3.6+ runs LaunchELF off crappy $10 Staples USB drive. LaunchELF runs HDLoader or HDServer. HDLoader runs games off internal 200gb hard drive. HDServer allows me to upload games over network. No mod needed.
- Cyber_Akuma, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5That thing is a lifesaver for me. I have over 100 PS2 games I have actually legally purchased, and since I have no shelves left to put them al they are basically in three 4-foot tall stacks (theres some random gc and xbox games in there too). Wanting to play a game near the middle or bottom of the stack is a pain, and I tend to sometimes forget I have a game I didnt finish.
Now I can just select almost any of my games directly off a list, and it has serously helped in slow loading games like the restaurants in Odin Sphere. Takes half a second now to load. - markstory, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4I am. I don't have a lot of time to play games so there are still quite a few awsome ps2 games that I haven't had the time to play through. I'm just now getting to play god of war 2. And I see no real reason to make the generation jump. X-plode-box hasn't been fixed, wii has very few good games, and the PS3 is rent and no games. So my trusty ps2 with its $30 games is great.
- PawFox, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5There's Christmas or Birthday? oh and get it right, £2 = $4
- rootstyle, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5Because they submit it themselves (check the submitters submissions), to onslaught everyone to a barrage of modchip ads.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4If you are into homebrew then you can more then trust maxconsole. the biggest developers in the homebrew and modding scene hang out at maxconsole.
- themoors, on 10/10/2007, -2/+6Jesus ***** christ, listen to professor Jim. Are you aware this is just an overblown internet message board, not a creative writing class?
C- for being a dick. - NeoTechni, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Well PS3 does't have territorial lock out (devs can lock games out, but none have. One tried but got such a negative response they changed their minds)
- Trinitrogen, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Reminds me of my Mod Plug days on the PS1, but that thing had the added benefit of doubling as a gameshark...
- rwheeler, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4I also can't afford nextgen. Got a ps2 for free and spent about $80 (minus the cost of the 200gig hdd I put in it) to have access to a huge library of great games, graphics be damned. (no hdtv anyways) It lets me play avi files on the tv over the network dvd or hdd, play games with no load times, backup game saves to the hdd, view pictures and listen to music. Pretty good deal for the cash.
- TripcodeMel, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3It might be blatant marketing, but I'm looking forward to my import games without the hard work.
- mpn401, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Goddamn, this is GREAT! I hope it's real, and it works without a PS1 game (I have none).
- MonsterChaOS, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3An Xbox would do all that too, and is much easier to mod (costs nothing- Softmod) and install a HDD in (replace the one that its there using XboxHDM)
XBMC is by far the best damned homebrew app/dash ever! - inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3play "backups"
nuff said - ThePerp, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Why not? 3/4 of them are here, too.
OMG PICS OF POOPING HIPPOS - atonement, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2no ***** i just sold my ps2 and 25 games last monday, no joke. /wrist
- Duncarob, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3You don't need a silver-spoon, you just need a frigging job you peasant. Now watch the bleeding-heart Diggpirates digg this comment down to 'stick it to the man'. Ineffectual lumexes.
- Amigaice, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2I do too. I bought PS2 late in the game. There is a lot of games I haven't played
- Hunterville, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2typical retarded digg statement not based in reality
- h3xZ, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2you've obviously never heard of maxconsole...
