    What makes it even funnier to me is the box art has the correct pronunciation right inside the flap, at least on the Mac version anyway. Either way, "Day of Sex" sounds like a great game to play.

  • Witchboy, on 10/11/2007, -1/+18For Deus Ex (day-us ex), we heard so many funny variants during development and afterward it stopped being funny. Kids would twist up their faces and say, uncomfortably, "Douche X." Or "day of sex," "deuce ex," etc.

    For a while, near the end, we considered changing the name to Illuminati Assassin (deemed too negative) or Majestic 12 (deemed too likely to make people think it was the 12th game in the series).

    I found out the correct pronunciation after a friend corrected me, he was laughing his ass off, though.

  • AndrewJC, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5Well, it's a matter of semantics. The guy says it's "Day-S", which I'm assuming he means is supposed to be "Day-Ess" but without stress on the second syllable. The proper pronunciation is something along the lines of "Day-oos" with accent all on the first syllable. You're as correct as he is.
