- merdeisel, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2that list sucks.
"my top 5 most wanted games of 2006"
5. Metal Gear Solid 4
4. Half-Life 2: Aftermath
3. The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
2. Halo 3
1. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3What a lame list.
Anything that puts duke nukem forever on a list of highly anticipated games is just moronic. It's never comming out. Even if I saw it in stores, I wouldn't believe it. - Chaos12, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2No oblivion or zelda = bad list
- queondatavo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Duke Nukem Forever!? Lol!! What a joke! That thing will never come out, but if it does, it's gonna be another Daikatana.
- Theodorant, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1"no digg. this story is opinonated and unreliable -1 lame."
Yes, because top 10 lists shouldn't have the opinions of the author in the least bit. Look at everyone else posting their top 10 games in the comments, pretty much doing the same thing as that author. I don't get why if people see a game they've never heard of at number one, it's automatically a crappy list. Try actualy reading the article, it's a cool concept. - astral16, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1not one racing game, come on, how can i stress out my hardware if the textures arent whizzing past
- Skrolnik, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1"Where is Hellgate London, Twilight Princess & Morrowind Oblivion?"
-----------------
The third game you ask about there was not listed because it does not exist.
However there IS a game due out called Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion, which does happen to be part of the same series that had Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind, but that does not make it "Morrowind: Oblivion" any more than the last game was "Daggerfall: Morrowind"
It's as wrong as calling the fourth James Bond movie "Goldfinger: Thunderball". - mike_p, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Yeah they missed a lot of great games.... and the fact that they put Duke Nukem in that list over Oblivion is beside me. Zelda FTW!
- ORBIT, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2No Oblivion, No Digg.
Although Supreme Commander is on my list. - MioTheGreat, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Phft. Oblivion and NWN2 belong on there. But I do agree that I'm really looking forward to Spore.
- Urusai, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3No Elder Scrolls: Oblivion? No digg.
- Frinkahedron, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1"7: Supreme Commander"
YES.
One of the few new RTS games that interest me. - cheesechick, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Is this a European site or something? Shadow of the Colossus is already out in America and Japan.
- digdugdig, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Eh, why shouldn't it feature some other games than the obvious ones. Yeah, we all look forward to Oblivion. Big deal. I'm interested in hearing about games I don't know about, like Spore.
- Hieros, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Well that is one persons severely warped view. It had one game on it I wanted and 5, I have heard of before. For a game to be "most wanted" don't people have to know about it first? AND for any Bugnie Fans out there, there is no way Halo 3 is coming out before 2007, NO WAY. As with most of the rest of you guys, I agree, no Oblivion, no digg.
- akudoi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1@cheesechick: The site is from the UK, Shadow Of The Colossus isnt out there yet.
- WillDearborn, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1My list:
1. FF 12
2. Oblivion
3. Zelda
4. Sin Episodes
5. Prey - ByteGuerilla, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Glad to see Spore coming top. Been anticipating this game since I heard about it a year ago. Looks awesome fun. Don't agree with UT or Duke Nukem being on there... could have done with the new Zelda and Chrome Hounds instead maybe. Perhaps Oblivion too somewhere.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1'Elder Scrolls: Oblivion' not on the list??? Blahhhhhhhhh!
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1
Bah, the missed the most anticipated game in the fantasy genere for 2006.
It is definately the sequel to Morrowind. - dkguy55, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1*COUGH* Zelda? *COUGH* Elder Scrolls IV? Yeah they may have missed a few. Better to include those than the one or two games I noticed there that we've been expecting for years and never gotten (Like a new Duke Nukem game...)
- arcanearts101, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1my list:
1. Spore
2. Prey
3. Zelda
4. Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
Those are all I care about at the moment. - Sal42, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1yes, it missed Zelda, Oblivion, Gears of War, Quake Wars, MGS4, and probably a lot of good games that are going to come out this year. but how did Duke Nukem If Ever make the list? i still have a receipt for a reservation on this game from a Babbage's in 1998. they should have picked Prey, as it is far more likely to be the only decent 3D Realms game we will see for quite awhile.
- NekstBestThing, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I agree with Urusi, Oblivion will rock the entire world's socks off.
- whisperedlie, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1i'm about as anxious for duke nukem forever as I am for a time machine that can only take me back to my akward high school years when that game was originally "supposed" to come out.
- Cyborg771, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1No zelda, no oblivion no digg.
- Elranzer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Mine...
1. Zelda - Twilight Princess
2. Mother 3
3. Kingdom Hearts II
4. Final Fantasy 12
5. ES4: Oblivion
6. Alan Wake - dkguy55, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I just looked it up and they've been expecting a new Duke Nukem game for nine years. How can you include a game on that list that's been expected for nine years? It will probably be pushed back to 10 years! They probably spend an entire year bringing the game up to par with technology only to find another year goes by and they have to work on bringing it up to par for another year... pathetic. Take it off the list and put Zelda or Oblivion on!
- sinfony, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1@digdugdig
I feel very safe in predicting that Duke Nukem Forever will never come out, or rather, should never come out. It has the potential to make Daikatana look fantastic.
Furthermore, UT2K7 and Spore will probably not be out this year. - RocketMike, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0How the ***** did they leave off Smash Bros. 3.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I'd like Smash bros. Revolution.. and a few DS games.
Not a big fan of the PC genre though the caesar game looks wicked. - superdigg, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"and wtf's spore?
whoever made this must die lol"
YOU must die. pay more attention, ffs. - smilinggoat, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Smash Bros. Revolution
Now that will be fantastic. - osuadh, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0How could these games be anticipated by anyone? Caesar IV? Duke Nukem Forever? Who still cares about these ancient franchises? I'm certainly not looking forward to supreme commander or bully either. They'll both be good, but not great, games that follow a oft-followed formula. Lame list from a lame country
- kotatsu, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0What a retarded list.
Colossus is indeed great but has been out for MONTHS.
And no Zelda? Eh? It's easily my most anticipated game of this year.
And no Resident Evil 5 either? After RE4 this surely will be amazing. - JingJang, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Short List:
1. Oblivion
It should last most of the year anyway so why bother including any others? :) - cptpike, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is another one that will probably never see the light of day. To bad too. It had such promise.
- tmcleroy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0im ***** my pants thinking about aftermath
- documof, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Wow, no FFXII or Kingdom Hearts 2 or Zelda?!!
- archivist, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0lol. this is the suckiest top 10 games for 2006.
and wtf's spore?
whoever made this must die lol - matid, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0The only item on my list is a game that would be a proper successor of Baldur's Gate 2.
- hordak, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Absolutely NO DIGG! It has Duke Nukem Forever on there; as many of you said, it will NEVER come out, and I believe that.
It's all about SERIOUS SAM these days! - Spon, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0What? No Tetris? No DIGG Doug
- homeobocks, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0The easiest way to determine that this list is ***** is that it doesn't have Enemy Territory: Quake Wars.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I'm waiting for the Rev and Metroid Prime 3. *nods vigorously*
- Arramol, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0My picks:
6. Empire at War
5. UT2k7
4. Twilight Princess
3. Supreme Commander
2. Spore
1. OBLIVION!
How they could leave off Zelda and Oblivion, I have no idea. Halo 3 doesn't make my personal list since I don't have an X360 and just now got around to getting Battlefield 2 and Half-Life 2 (frugal college student here, so I tend to wait until the price drops before I get a game). I'll stick UT on there anyway since I liked UT2004 > Halo IMHO. - ncaa76, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Come on, weak list what about:
Gears of War
Splinter Cell 4
Sin Episodes
Metal Gear Solid 4
Prey
Black
and of course Zelda - Splintr, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0i'd like to put splinter cell double agent in this list/
- Arramol, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Addendum to comment: I'll Digg for the discussion. The article itself was missing some important picks.
- bigpixl, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Gawd how many banner ads does one site need? If I didn't have the URL, I wouldn't know what the hell I was looking at.
