- Mo0man, on 10/12/2007, -1/+80No love for Postal?
- theblooms, on 10/12/2007, -1/+47@ Both of you
Mortal "C" ombat? C'mon guys. - gatekillr, on 10/12/2007, -0/+41What about Carmageddon?
- karuberutsu, on 10/12/2007, -2/+37Postal 2: STP after a select few mods, you blow someone's head off with a shovel and their spine flies out with it. Then you can proceed to play fetch with a dog and said head (You can even piss on the head when you're done). Then just for fun, you can douse the dog in gasoline and set it on fire.
...
How the F*CK is this game not on the list? - unicornhunter, on 10/12/2007, -1/+36Space Invaders. I be killin' like 300 alien ships each game, and who knows how many aliens are in each ship?
- dpcdomino, on 10/12/2007, -3/+33No GTA?
No Blood Omen? - shadus, on 10/12/2007, -0/+30*****, whoever did this list hasn't been a gamer long.
They need to look up the game "The Immortal" for the Genesis. You explode creatures heads in graphics that were killer for the time, you cut them lengthwise in half, you chop them in the guts and let them spill all over the ground. It is by and far even by todays standards one of the goriest games of all time. Hell Postal series should have made the list too, you can light someone on fire and urinate on them... come on, get real!
Whoever did that piece is a noob with no history in gaming. In fact I would say their gaming experience is limited to the last generation of consoles and a few titles that stood out before that. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -3/+28I am surprized to see 3 Mortal Comabt games up there...how come no Postal or Soldier of Fortune? Resident Evil 4 was pretty gory too!
I like some of the titles on the list but it could have been better. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+25@theblooms
The Korrekt phrase is, "K'mon, guys" - MrSunshine, on 10/12/2007, -2/+20http://i15.tinypic.com/49998n6.jpg
- gallagherFTW, on 10/12/2007, -0/+16in doom 3 you shoot unbaptized babies called "cherubs". let me repeat that...you kill babies. it should be on the list for that alone
- S4MF1SHER, on 10/12/2007, -0/+14Anyone ever play "Kingpin" for the PC? I believe one of your first objectives was to kill a homeless person with a crowbar.
- LesterWallace, on 10/12/2007, -2/+16Oh yeah? Well I was just playing Frogger and I tell ya, that's some violent stuff. I just got ran over by some road-raging truckers AND got eaten by a crocodile. Twice.
- idonthack, on 10/12/2007, -1/+14Another interesting thing in Postal 2: If you remove someone's head while they're throwing up, vomit continues to come out of their bleeding stump.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+15I can't believe SKY DIVER for the Atari 2600 is missing. That game is by far the most brutal, VIOLENT video game in the history of existence.

I FORGOT about Carmageddon! Major props for that one. That was the original game for running over pedestrians. We owe GTA to Carmageddon. - Duositex, on 10/12/2007, -2/+11The Suffering? The Reckoning? Saint's Row? GTA? Condemned? F.E.A.R.? Silent Hill?
- Pixellore, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10Where is Phantasmagoria? Horrible list...
"Featuring graphic gore, violence and a rape scene, the game stirred controversy over age restrictions and target audiences in the maturing game industry. It was banned in Australia while CompUSA and other major retailers refused to carry it. The game was never banned in Germany, but has an 18-Rating." - ICSU, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8And what about Rise of the Triad? It was worse than anything back then.
http://www.ibiblio.org/GameBytes/issue21/flooks/rott5.gif - CornStarch, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8Zombies don't count.
- DaSkiDude, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8This list is weak with Mortal Kombat on it 3 times. But some great games on there
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8What a horribe list. It's like the author has only played video games for about 5 years.
I agree, Phantasmagoria should definitely be on there.
And the exclusion of the original Doom is a crime against video game history. Slaughtering demons with a chainsaw on a map called Knee Deep in the Dead pushed alot of limits in 1993, and it was an AWESOME game to boot. - Jarasmen, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7Actually it seems the author of this list never heard of a PC.
- Pie_Man, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7I know one that would be tops for all the older gamers. It was a early 80's game based upon "Crossbow" form factor called CHILLER.
But the entire premise of the game was torture. You would put in $0.25 and man the crossbow light gun to activate all sorts of pretty nasty activities. The graphics were crude, but it kinda made me sick at my stomach thinking about it.
Don't think for a second that good graphics equate to the most graphic game...this one was outright disgusting.

- kewalter, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8Anyone for Dead Rising?
- danjal, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8don't forget silent hill.... you know i could rant on, but i think we all know this is a very weak list.. marked as lame, somthing i don't usualy do, but there is just no thought put into this list at all.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6no Soldier of Fortune??? WTF? gay ass Gamefaqs
- IHaveIssues, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5I do remember that game, I also remember the incredibly long load times between levels.
- StormTrooperVII, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7I'm surprised that Doom3 didn't make the list. The guy who mentioned doom also has a point, since it was the goriest game for years.
- MrSunshine, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6shadus, if you're talking about retrogames, don't forget Battle Chess :)
- totaljerkface, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5needs soldier of fortune 1 and 2 and definitely time killers
- Mantees, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Buried as lame. It's a ***** list, made in 5 minutes by someone who played just a few games in his life and never had a PC
- dclowd9901, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Jesus, a "Most Violent Games" list without Dead Rising is like the Brady Bunch without Marsha. I have a hard time respecting a Violent Games list that doesn't include a game with a clown falling on his chainsaws.
- DBiz, on 10/12/2007, -4/+8Glad to see Thrill Kill up there. It's a shame it went unreleased, as I played a demo build and it was gory as all hell, putting even Mortal Kombat to shame.
Nothing like ripping off someone's arm and beating them with it. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4@techknight:
I stand corrected. Those 1976 graphics are practically ancestral cave paintings. Clearly there is an ancient tradition of running over pedestrians in video games. - turgiddahlia, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4@idonthack
I used to love that. Pee on somebody until they start puking, lop their head off, watch the vomit continue to fly, then set them alight. I am actually keen on a Postal 3 (Unreal 3 engine FTW!) if they can keep up that sort of extreme mayhem. Completely outrageous, over the top and tongue-in-cheek, and the game does not pretend otherwise, but a great way to get the frustration out. - Seruphim, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5was I the only one that noticed that there were only 3 games worth playing on this list? this should say something about people who just pump their games so full of gore that they try to cover up crappy production value.
- bjornkeizers, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4You get a thumbs up for remembring that. I happen to own that one as well as Blood 2 -- one of probably two people who do.... Sadly, it's only been played once or twice since it was too buggy on my PC.
Good times, good times. I still occasionally play Blood 1. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5@Mo0man
Well, apparently no one thinks that shooting a shotgun through a cats' ass is violent... - theblooms, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Smash TV ruled. It was Robotron 2084 with much better graphics.
"BIG Money! BIG Prizes! I LOVE It!"
And while we're on the Williams games, NARC was pretty damn violent as well. I think it was the first game with flaming dismembered bodies flying all over the place. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4@jrizzo:
I'm pretty sure the first game to feature running over pedestrians was "Vette!", from 1989. Of course, they just folded flat like knocked-over standees, but still. "Vette!" was an outstanding racing game, especially for the time.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vette%21 - steven401, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3"#7: Hitman: Blood Money (PS2, XBOX)"
What? I just completed it 6 months ago on my PC. - hectavex, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3"Blood" isn't on there? You can decapitate zombies and kick their heads around the map. In the circus level there's a mini game where you kick heads into bowling pins or piano key clown teeth. You can also keep gibbing corpses and body parts down to the last piece of meat. I believe this game ran on the same engine as Duke Nukem 3D and it had coop.
- owenadam, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4I'm really disappointed about the lack of Super Smash TV.
- bjornkeizers, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3..."I live..... agaaaaaaaaiiiiiin"......
- whisperedlie, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3what about Rise of the Triad? disembodied eyeballs, legs and hands, giblets that splashed against walls and oozed to the floor, the excalibat, dog mode, charred skeletons resulting from fire weapons, moving walls and closing doors would squish people, and you could jump on people's heads and kill them... man that game was the best when it came out. The multiplayer was ahead of it's time, too.
how about Doom? Anyone remember the game Quarantine? Wolfenstien 3D/Spear of Destiny? Blood? Carmageddon? Shadow Warrior? SiN? Soldier of Fortune? Dead Rising? - trixterii, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Buried, there are no pictures and he left out a lot of more popular violent games (Blood + Postal)
- messiah, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3The author obviously has in his/her mind that "Videogame" doesnt mean "PC Game", which is a wrong conclusion in my opinion. I have seen many games mentioned in the comments which were far more violent than ANY game in the list, but were PC only. I know that some people are just so ***** dumb they must have a factory made box that they can just stick a disc in an the game plays, and could never manage to install the same game onto a PC, but the fact is, while most games look brilliant on the consoles, they will never beat a high end gaming PC for performance, Console people will hate me, but I also own an Xbox, Xbox360 and a Ps2, (and If I can get the dollars a ps3 soon as well) as well as a ps1 and dreamcast i have boxed up in the back shed, so NO im not a PC fanboy. I am speaking from many years of playing games on many platforms.
FYI, Postal 2 STP with a few mods is by far the most violent game I have seen. - nadcraker, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3No Hello Kitty Island Adventure?
