In a nutshell, Super Mario 2 in Japan is known as The Lost Levels in the U.S. Nintendo apparently decided to make an easier version of Mario 2 for U.S. release, and instead of making a new game from scratch, reworked an existing game called Doki Doki Panic. Which helps explain why Mario 2 is so different from any of the others. But still my favorite by far... :) - d2002, on 11/21/2008, -2/+15I need to work Poppycock into my daily vocabulary.
