I do question their motives however, its clear they get some money chucked at them by Microsoft (the same as that girl clan UbiSoft sponsored). I have a feeling they are in it for the money rather than any real love of gaming.
They are being targeted at blokes as well (wow hot chicks are on XBL! im gunna sign up), not as a way to attract more females to gaming. Most of them don't own a 360, and their gamercards are only there to put on XBox.com. In case you didn't know, Microsoft basically hired them to do PR for them. They did E3 videos that you can download from the marketplace.

I think calling girl's who play games 'female gamers' is quite insulting because there is no difference in the ability between girls and guys just in people. I've seen those girls play and they're not very good. There are probably tonnes of ammatures who can beat them. I've beaten every boy I've played against at something or another. I think society focuses too much on looks. I heard someone say that it's nice to see that girls on XBOX Live are not fat with glasses but why arn't ANY of the gaming teams like that?

I dont think that a GS is the most important thing.....but at the same time theirs are REALLY low.
To the point that I have to say they are really bad, or never play.
I only have 2 games, and I got over a 1000 GP without trying in like a week.
So to be touted as a "pro" gamers and show so little in achievements is really bad imo.
Maybe they didnt give their "real" profiles for some reason?
very suspect... - sert, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9who the hell said women shouldnt be allowed to play games? all that most of these people were saying that its pretty stupid that "pro" clans with amateur level skill are getting recognized simply because they are females. if anything that is more degrading to females than any comment here. and so called "pros" challenging random people is akin to an NBA player challenging his critics to 1 on 1. judgements of your skills are based on your track record in major tournaments, the same way that one would judge a pro sports team. the only specific attempt at a major tournament I recall was when v3nus was eliminated in her first match in Quake 4 at CPL. I only take into account PC games at major pro tournaments open to everyone, seeing as how in video games there is no physical advantages for either gender, unlike in real sports.
also, "get your booty on camera"?? maybe to you all competetive gaming is about showing off your body in front of a camera but to the rest of the world its about playing and doing well in major tournaments along with the guys.

But what i DO know is that attractive girls in sports get more attention - so they're going to get more sponsorship offers. Look at Jeanette Lee. She basically single-handedly got women's professional billiards televised. Yeah, she also happened to be pretty damn good. But even when she's doing bad, they are always going to show her. They have been attending MLG for the past years and they have yet to make to the top ranked teams. Why because they are the typical team that attends the event registers, gets eliminated in the first round, takes a few pics that they where there and then post them online. It's so easy to go around online claiming that they are top and all. How come they never post on their sites results about their MLG accomplishments? Why? Because skill wised they have nothing to back it up. These "so called" pro gamers want to compare pro gaming to sports at least in real sports you hear about the who is making it to the playoffs, finals and all. Therefore it proofs that pro gaming is just a joke, you don't need skills to get attention you just need to suck the privates and perform a provide a little lesbian fantasy to the right people in Microsoft.

That being said, success requires compromise.
