Link: "i can has bomb"
Merchant: "100 rupee, n00b"
Link: "lol kthxbye."
BowseRIAA: "i'm suing you for dloading my stars from bittorrent"
Mario: "all u have is an ip address. it could've been anybody"
Bowser: "the judge doesnt know that. lol"
Mario: "But Chuck Norris does. and he's pissed"
Bowser: "wtf! oh noes" - SeventhSon, on 11/20/2007, -1/+16I was hoping that this would be about a militant gamer group. I figure it's only a matter of time before Microsoft pulls an "Ender's Game" on Xbox Live to take over the world.
- ggnictee, on 11/20/2007, -0/+12Yah, I thought it was going to be about gamers finally getting off our collective duff and becoming an effective voting block.
hey, it could happen.
interesting article anyway though. - jrizzo, on 11/20/2007, -1/+7We call them clans.
- altinnovation, on 11/20/2007, -0/+5What do you expect when you work 16 hour shifts programming and retesting the same enemy for a couple of months? :P
When I used to make 2D games (as a hobby) similar to the GTA series, at the end of the day I was happy to sit down and eat, and think about how I could improve my game for the people, rather than play it myself. - leerayIG88, on 11/20/2007, -1/+5We should create our own army group. Then like we could fight each other and stuff. :-P
- zhepp, on 11/20/2007, -0/+4I was expecting that blizzard said they would take down their servers unless all the gamers decided to rise up and put them in power...
- JAGUART, on 11/20/2007, -0/+4Yep, I'll participate in Project Mayhem right after I finish one more level.
- AnthonyA7, on 11/20/2007, -0/+3EVERYTHING IS NOT ABOUT POLITICS.
- lewhich, on 11/20/2007, -1/+4most [game] programmers are not heavy gamers ... (from experience)
- Timetheos, on 11/20/2007, -0/+2Fear my ubermicro
- cbegin, on 11/20/2007, -0/+2I was hoping for something like The Last Starfighter...where in the middle of playing Halo 3 some dude pulls up in a cool car (yes, in my basement) and says "You MUST trust me implicitly. Get in."
- DrDoom83, on 11/20/2007, -0/+2The first one was anyways. They kind of went downhill with Speaker for the Dead...
- Dracusis, on 11/21/2007, -0/+2Yeah, it went down the rabbit hole after the first, still, the first enders game book remains a true classic. One of the few sci-fi books that transcends the genre IMHO.
- matthafling, on 11/21/2007, -0/+1"I spent all my time in high school sitting in front of a screen, then I went to college and got a computer science degree, and then I went and got a job in the tech industry......It would probably make for a very boring TV movie."
Yes a very boring movie where the protagonist never gets laid - ever. Hell, you probably wouldn't even have to cast a female role in the whole damn thing. - morningmatters, on 11/20/2007, -0/+1I thought the article would be talking about /b/tards but no...
- xsonny, on 11/20/2007, -0/+1In my dream world all wars are fought by playing Halo. The president is elected based on his Sim City scores and armies are trained vigerously on every aspect of Halo gameplay, down to the last pixel. Instead of Money as currency we just use rubies and gold peices. Driving is done remotely by simulator games and instead of people actually having to move they just control robots that look like Sim City people on their screens. That way the world is just full of robots outside and people inside. People are connected to tubes that robots insert food into and people only have to sit on toilets that auto flush. The poeple who do not follow these guidelines are executed by flamethrowers and machine guns attached to the robots. That way it is equally badass to be a rebel in this world as well.
I need to write this ***** down for later... - opticsnake, on 11/20/2007, -0/+1pacificu needs better servers
