I need that Half Life ep 3, and the Portal 2 - Slym, on 05/17/2009, -0/+15Blizzard aren't going to be at E3 because they have Blizzcon instead.
- Doomsan, on 05/17/2009, -0/+13Well i hope Nintendo doesn't embarrass themselves this year.
- slaystench, on 05/17/2009, -0/+12They should fill the entire stage with money and roll around in it.
- Mccy, on 05/17/2009, -1/+12I'd have put "a decent presentation" into the unlikely section for Nintendo...
- Rapter09, on 05/17/2009, -2/+13Oh E3... How the mighty have fallen. And fallen hard.
- 1what1, on 05/17/2009, -1/+11dugg for useless ingenuity.
- Arramol, on 05/17/2009, -0/+10All I want for E3 is an Elder Scrolls V announcement. Come on Bethesda!
- DTJunkie07, on 05/17/2009, -0/+10I just bought the Orange Box about a month ago, I had never played Half-Life before then, but Half-Life: Episode 3 is the game I am most excited about playing now after finishing the sequel and the first two episodes. To anyone who has yet to play Half Life, get out right now and buy the Orange Box!

SAME NUTS works well if you consider the almost insane behavior of some certain companies of the past few E3s. However, this year, I have higher hopes for the "five third parties" and the Big Three. - ursername180, on 05/17/2009, -4/+10Am I missing something? No hype for Valve?
- slimscane, on 05/17/2009, -3/+8Their third party preview was pretty awful. For Activision they mentioned Blizzard in one sentence, and didn't say anything about SCII, Diablo III, or the unannounced MMO their working on, and they apparently haven't seen the new peripheral for Tony Hawk Ride yet; for EA they forgot to mention Bioware and SW:The Old Republic, and for Take-two they completely neglected Bioshock 2.
Of course, it's just one article, but those are some pretty big things to miss. - Daimwn, on 05/17/2009, -0/+5They need to restart E3 all over again. Bring it back to it's original pre-hype form. It shouldn't be a freaking media event. The three big guys have scared each other and anyone associated with them into making and holding back announcements. Why does everything have to be scheduled for a particular event and not just when it's ready? It messes with development times and ideals.
- Menzer7, on 05/17/2009, -2/+7Diablo 3...? Nothing about one of the most anticipated PC games in development?
- inactive, on 05/17/2009, -5/+10E3? Who cares? They shot them selves in the foot when they pulled that BS a few years ago. Nobody gives a ***** anymore about E3.
- Nebarik, on 05/17/2009, -0/+4no bioware (old replublic, mass effect 2), and no beyond good and evil from ubisoft mentioned.
- scribat, on 05/17/2009, -0/+4"Third parties like Capcom and Sega will announce some sequels to beloved Dreamcast titles like Powerstone and Shenmue in honor of the coming tenth year anniversary of 9/9/1999."
God, that'd be ***** awesome... pity it's never gonna happen though (the 30/70 chance they gave it seems way too high). Sega needs to pull their finger out though and make Shenmue 3 already. The Shenmue games were class. - g0tistt0t, on 05/16/2009, -1/+5This just sounds like wishful thinking
- Juntistik, on 05/17/2009, -1/+4Give me the rumored Perfect dark 64 port from rare, thats all I care about
- slimscane, on 05/17/2009, -0/+3Good point, haha. Good thing I'm not a games journalist!
- Jektal, on 05/17/2009, -0/+3What are they releasing? Unless they make a surprise HL2 ep3 announcement, but given their past history I'd say we've got another year or two.
- Jerryrad, on 05/17/2009, -3/+6and Valve.
- Smilex, on 05/17/2009, -0/+2They could patch my broken spirit by releasing the DLC for PS3...
- Elranzer, on 05/18/2009, -0/+2Nintendo is Uncle Scrooge now?
Then again, Duck Tales for the NES was pretty awesome... - JDiZZle300Z, on 05/18/2009, -0/+2I definitely wouldn't count on an ES:V. They run about a four year dev cycle on those games.
eg: ES:III was released in 2002 and ES:IV in 2006 - mynameistux, on 05/17/2009, -4/+6and valve.
- h0ly, on 05/18/2009, -0/+2I have a feeling the big 3 are going to surprise us all.
- Nebarik, on 05/17/2009, -0/+2no one likes a grammer nazi
- Tuto, on 05/17/2009, -1/+2Valve and Blizzard. I don't even care if they show up, but those two are in their own league.
- spar13, on 05/20/2009, -0/+1Don't forget the next Counter Strike, It will be released with the next HL since it will be a new engine.
- jeremymccurdy, on 05/17/2009, -1/+2I just want Bethesda to announce they're fixing VATS on the PC version of Fallout 3 that's been broken since the patch in January.
- Natendo64, on 05/17/2009, -1/+2incredibly innacurate
- Midnitte, on 05/17/2009, -0/+1They plan on releasing information about Portal 2 and Episode 3.
Can I get a Hi-Rez too? Global Agenda looks badass. - leethemanpowell, on 05/19/2009, -0/+1Right because a trade show is all about hiding what you're working on.
/s - SoulGrub, on 05/19/2009, -0/+1I thought Blizzard is, as usual, skipping e3 entirely.
- bigbangbuddha, on 05/17/2009, -1/+2I disagree with the assessment on Activision, its all about Blizzard now not their old IP, they need to hype this:
Skate > Tony Hawk
Rock Band > Guitar Hero
but Diablo III > everything else!
I do think Sony will get a boost, If I get the spare cash I will most likely buy one myself this year:
God Of War III FTW
GT V - meh
Nintendo is probably going to be hurting this year. Their console is really showing its limits nowadays. They need a spoiler:
Wii HD?!?! - h0ly, on 05/18/2009, -0/+1I think on the contrary, because it can't possibly be any worse, so it's likely to be better than the last one.
- Elranzer, on 05/18/2009, -0/+1I'll digg you cuz I love Elder Scrolls, but there's no way in Hell ES:V is coming out before 2010. Then again, if it's due in 2010, it might be announced this year.
- Baronvontito1, on 05/17/2009, -2/+2I'm disappointed that Beyond Good and Evil 2 won't be there. A lot of good stuff to look forward to, though.
- rdaryl, on 05/17/2009, -0/+0I'm definitely going to watch ALL of the big 3 press conferences from Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo. This E3 is shaping up to be HUGE!
- DouglasQ, on 05/17/2009, -2/+2to*
- sgglynn, on 05/18/2009, -1/+1One of my employee's is going.... He's a jerk
- scoottie, on 05/17/2009, -2/+2E3 died a couple years ago. It's unimportance today is amazing compared years ago when people actually cared about it.
- miitch, on 05/17/2009, -2/+2Sony better not just release another version of the original PSP, give us a PSP2
