- Folye, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6For those of us with um, larger constitutions, may I suggest going as a character with a similar constitution? For example: Dr. Light from Megaman. The costume itself is simple, nothing more than a blue tie, a white lab coat, red pants (found at your local hip hop store in sizes befitting a larger man), brown shoes and a white wig and beard.
As an added bonus, when you arrive at the Halloween party and only ONE person actually recognizes your costume, you can pretend to be someone else for the rest of the night. My personal recommendation would be Colonel Sanders from KFC (please note that the guests will need to reasonably drunk for this, as Colonel Sanders looks nothing like Dr. Light). Claiming also to be "just a doctor" will work as well.
However, unless you are at a very geek filled party, under no circumstance should you try to act in character and tell everyone you are "Doctor Thomas Xavier Light, master roboticist from the year 200X and creator of Megaman." This will result in blank stares from the vast majority of the party-goers.
