Are they kidding with Lego Batman, COD: World at War (wooo more WW2 clones) and NHL2k8??! Make a top 17 list if you must. And put it on one ***** page.

  • chrisphil1724, on 10/11/2008, -0/+6NHL 2k9, really? How much did 2k pay you to put their game on the list? NHL 09 is CLEARLY the best hockey game not just this year but of all-time. Look at the average review scores for both games. NHL 2k9's average review score is 7.0 and the average review score for NHL 09 is a 9.0! (based on gamerankings.com)

    NHL 09 WILL once again win sports game of the year for the second straight year.

    That's not to say that the sequels (or reboots in the case of PoP) will suck, on the contrary, I have high hopes for PoP, Fallout 3 and Resistance 2.
  • zadadka, on 10/10/2008, -1/+5It is a list, I'll grant you, but I'd have preferred to see more enthusiasm for the games...say, written by a knowledgeable gamer rather than a page-impression hungry blogger.

    CoD5 (Call of Duty World at War) is likely to be my only purchase from the list (more fool me? perhaps, but, nonetheless), the synopsis was drab, to the extent it scanned like a Reuters report on a Baghdad's car-bombing fatalities.

    Actually, it's worse than that...after a little surfing, I find the commentaries to be little more than a precise of the respective software houses' press releases.

    Sorry, but I won't Digg an article like other sheep, just because it mentions something I am interested in...
    If I did, you could simple write words like "iPhone, Palin, RickRoll, Boobs".....oh, yeah, and "Crysis".

    Tolerance is:
    Listening to what somebody says and accepting him/her for what he/she is. Trying to ignore a superficial feeling of offence.

    Tolerance is not:
    Feeling offended by every little ***** somebody says. Complaining about other people because they don't treat you like a raw egg or the don't make you feel that you are the center of the universe.

    If you think about it, political correctness is the opposite of tolerance.
