- gwjc, on 10/10/2007, -3/+51The Resident Evil cover that they claim is the worst, is pretty cool.
- skjede, on 10/10/2007, -1/+46Holy *****, I don't mind multiple pages every once in a while... but damn,
a page per cover and about 4 of those annoying "skip this advertisment" placements.
Here they are in order (though it's hard to tell):

http://www.games.net/features/images/116102_12.jpg - InstantRamen, on 10/10/2007, -1/+26I found the one that said graphics to die for . was too funny . what a stupid face she had on her.
- gameforge, on 10/10/2007, -1/+21There have been some really horrible Nintendo Power covers... I haven't seen many for the last 15 years or so, but I had every issue for five or six years. This one was always the one I hated: http://www.planetnintendo.com/thewarpzone/books/23.jpg
My favorite was (of course?) the very first one, featuring Super Mario Bros. 2 (link has image and downloadable PDF): http://www.racketboy.com/retro/2006/06/pdf-nintendo-power-1-jul-aug-1988.html
Total trip down fifteen or twenty years ago... - nobiology, on 10/10/2007, -0/+18but since jesus returned from the dead, he technically could be a zombie, thereby giving zombies the edge.
- an7agonist, on 10/10/2007, -0/+18"[...] the Photoshop Glow effect abused like an unlucky stepdaughter, [...]"
Nice said - ZephyrNinety, on 10/10/2007, -4/+20Okay, most of this is just making fun of outdated things. Saying that the graphics they used on a cover back then looks stupid now is like comparing the Wright brothers' plane to a Boeing 747.
- dWhisper, on 10/10/2007, -0/+12Wait... no references to EGM's Fabio phase? Must be an oversight...
- raitchison, on 10/10/2007, -2/+12Buried for too many pages
- bpapa, on 10/10/2007, -1/+11Note to site owners - clicking through 13 pages to read a small amount of content is ***** annoying. I left after page 2.
- intent, on 10/10/2007, -0/+9You can't deny that no mother is going to buy that magazine for their kids, though.
- Lasereth, on 10/10/2007, -0/+9The #1 worst wasn't nearly as bad as the others.
- arbulus, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7Don't digg him down. he makes a valid point. while the design/layout of the covers may be horrendous, you can't fault 10-15 year old graphics. Comparing XBox 360/Wii/PS3 graphics to Sega Genesis graphics is not a fair comparison. At the time, those graphics WERE groundbreaking.
- dyreschlock, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6no Nintendo Power issue 2 with Castevania 2 cover.. no digg
- samdu, on 10/10/2007, -1/+7Yeah, but it's REALLY unfair to pull a cover from 10 years ago and blast it for proclaiming that the cover art represents the best graphics ever - and holding it to today's standards. Go back 20 years and I'm sure there was a cover of some magazine somewhere that claimed something similar about something like Tempest. It very well could have been accurate at the time.
- DarkSaturn, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5If they don't like clutter they should love this one: http://www.magweasel.com/images/b/b9/Pcxl-0006.jpg
PCXL was an interesting concept PC Gamer + Maxim + Idiots? Too weird to live, too rare to die. - Devrdander, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5Touche
- houndeyex, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4Jack Nicholson? What's not to love?
- Dalrek, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4One thing did make it pretty bad though... claiming Splinter Cell would have you going "Metal Gear Who?" Splinter Cell was good, but it wasn't that good.
- Irfit, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Just in case
http://bayimg.com/album/JAAdHAAab - Anrkist, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4Cool, yes... but screams "This isn't a game magazine, inside you will find gore and blood!".
- Devrdander, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3I work for one of the largest magazine distributors and one of the things we do is provide people with Sales Statistics and POS data, indexed by cover art content... Zombies=Poor Sales, Jesus=High Sales, and depending on the current hype, various hollywood stars have had periods where they were hotter than jesus... (although religion still is the #1 selling cover in the US over all)
- SonicBoom1000, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Some of EGM's covers were worse than the #1 pick, including the one with Fabio on the cover. EGM's top ten worst covers...http://www.1up.com/do/feature?cId=3144640
- Devrdander, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4Actually if you read the comments hes bashing them for poor layout or content, And unless you are actually in the magazine industry or work in graphic design it may seem stupid...
- cfl1497, on 10/10/2007, -2/+5I refuse to read the article unless they're all placed on one page.
- butbutz, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2When they have to explain *why* each one is bad, it probably means the list is retarded.
- Elranzer, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Nintendo themselves even rated that issue's cover as their worst of all time.
- Inverno, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3To be fair the 32x was always on top.
- wafflesomd, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3That sucked.
- tyywebb, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3And what the hell may I ask is wrong with Battletoads??
- Kinsbane, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2I remember specifically buying the Feb '94 issue of Video Games magazine (with NBA Jam/Charles Barkley on the cover) specifically for tips & tricks on GameBoy Mortal Kombat.
- Hitchcott, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Yeah - that was was definately the most amusing one.
- JoyrexJ9, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1They aren't that bad, certainly not the "Worst Evar!", they are all US mags too
I think I could find some real shockers from the old 8 bit days. Here's just a couple

ftp://ftp.worldofspectrum.org/pub/sinclair/magazines/YourSinclair/Issue37/YSCover37.jpg - MrSidnet, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Slightly easier to read:

- CyberSkull, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1As I recall, NP said that the Castlevania 2 cover with Dracula's severed head was their worst, they got sooo many complaints about it.
- JagoX, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1You do realize that its called "BATTLE Toads" right?
- Rethcir, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Those wierd gamepro covers in the 90's that were all drawn by the same guy always annoyed me. Every character looked like he was on the toilet.
- po43292, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1It's a me! Evil Mario! I had that issue too.
- skjede, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1hahaha
- QuickSwick, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1nintendo power 1 with super mario is the best
- Mawnster, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2Exactly what I was thinking. Nothing like a severed head to bring joy to the kiddos. Now that's good bedtime reading.
- adventchild08, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2Buried for wrongness..... there are way worse covers out there and the one they picked as the worst was actually pretty cool....not to mention the dumb one liners associated with the covers: "So ugly...its scary".
- ShoKill, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2I appreciate that! My work blocks out anything with the word "games" in the url. =(
- tehWyman, on 08/19/2009, -0/+1Thanks for all TWELVE PAGES.
- DrIce926, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2Dude just LOOK at his FACE! That is hardly a Battletoad.
- Terr01, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1I played SC before I ever saw MG-Who.
- TenaciousF, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0This is possibly the worst writing and reasoning I've ever read. I hope they didn't pay this guy.
- holycrapitsed, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1Whoa. Is that snatch I catch in number three?
- seven5, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1dugg down for 12 FREAKING page views
