- jtbndy, on 05/29/2009, -1/+45I can't wait to see who Nintendo picks this year to look like a fool waving the Wii mote around.
- Samboni10, on 05/30/2009, -1/+44I'd like to see crispy gamer STFU
- Hellicus, on 05/30/2009, -0/+30WILL RETAIL FOR JUST FIVE HUNDRED AND NINETY NINE US DOLLARS
- nepidae, on 05/30/2009, -0/+27You realize that same line has been used for the last 15 years at least right? It's like saying "kids these days". There are plenty of games with real gameplay, probably the same percentage as there always has been.
- iceman0113, on 05/29/2009, -0/+16adblock plus, install it.
- jeremymccurdy, on 05/30/2009, -0/+15ATTACK ITS WEAK POINT FOR MASSIVE DAMAGE
- inactive, on 05/30/2009, -0/+13Well, at least Kojima has a sense of humor.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P2ZFA4me4iw - nepidae, on 05/30/2009, -0/+13There is a neat trick I found for that, not clicking on links I don't want to read.
- inactive, on 05/30/2009, -1/+138. Cammie Dunaway
I sold my Wii the day after last year's E3 just because of her. - alexforcefive, on 05/30/2009, -3/+12"If I never have to HEAR ABOUT..."
- inactive, on 05/30/2009, -3/+12I'm so torn. On the one hand, she annoys the ***** out of me, but on the other hand, I'd totally bang her.
- vsujohn2, on 05/30/2009, -1/+9I'll look like a fool.. because they'd probably pay that person a ***** of money. The wii and the ds print money, dont you know?
- MemorabIename, on 05/30/2009, -2/+10Dugg for expressing annoyance with the too often deified Hideo Kojima
Do we really need a goddamned countdown to a countdown that only counts down to another countdown? Yes, yes, I realize the goofy retort seems to be "hurhur but look @ u here talking about it", but anyone with a lick of sense can see the ***** in that. "No publicity is bad publicity" is the mantra of Herostratic idiots. - snak3st, on 05/30/2009, -0/+8Giant enemy crab!
- fatsobob, on 05/30/2009, -0/+8I want to see Jade Raymond disappear from video games. She gets all the credit for Assassin's Creed but she was nothing more than a producer...and the game got repetitive!
- inactive, on 05/30/2009, -0/+7I'm fairly sure there's an easy way to avoid boring speakers at trade shows. It's called "don't attend the panels".
- quikbmwkid, on 05/30/2009, -0/+7http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eaBUeINW_3s
I laugh every time - Elranzer, on 05/30/2009, -0/+7Seriously. This read more like "List of 10 successful video game people." I guess they just don't want anyone talking at E3. What do they want, indie-only developers? Judging by their harsh criticism of indie-but-successful developers Media Molecule and Jonathon Blow, Crispy Gamer just doesn't like anyone whose successful.
They come across as the type who would say "I loved Braid, until everyone else loved Braid. Now it's too mainstream and I hate it."
Seriously, STFU Crispy Gamer. - ssquared22, on 05/29/2009, -16/+22If I never have to hear about another Halo release, I will be happy. I got incredibly burnt out on that series.
- DAC1138, on 05/30/2009, -0/+6All Digg users should be on this list. They hyped Spore more than Will did.
- TheTaoOfBill, on 05/30/2009, -0/+6I sometimes click ads. There are some ads that peak my interest. I have no interest in blocking them. But anyone who uses these pop up tactics are idiots.
- DRNOOO, on 05/30/2009, -0/+6AHAHHAHHAHAHHAHAHAAHHAAHHAHHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
***** i cried when i read that :)
That was a horrible standing on the part of Nintendo - smedrick, on 05/30/2009, -0/+5I am soooo over Will Wright
- JollyDumple, on 05/30/2009, -0/+5Why don't you go click "Reply" and tell him that to his face?
- Yage2006, on 05/30/2009, -1/+6Spell check is your friend.
- lamejoketeller, on 05/30/2009, -3/+8haha buried
- aks123, on 05/30/2009, -1/+5I think the biggest problem is too many sequels and lack of new, original games. People will buy Madden, Halo, Guitar hero in droves but ignore fresh and creative titles because they haven't heard of them. Also, increasing production costs means game developers take fewer risks, and add in the fact that people are generally scared of new things.
- Hellicus, on 05/30/2009, -0/+4Well, he auto-hypes a lot his games... let me explain... a few days ago, he launched a website with a countdown.... which ended in another countdown... which ended in the face of one of his characters...
That's not teasing, thats being a dick. - Allivian, on 05/30/2009, -0/+4I'm rather disappointed. Why isn't Cliff Bleszinski on that list?
- zzz@tkz, on 05/30/2009, -0/+4Not related, but love the avatar. Great movie.
- TheGreatBelow, on 05/29/2009, -10/+14Most games nowadays have no depth. Graphic detail and physics are improving at the expense of gameplay and interesting storylines.
I don't even pay attention to E3 anymore. - kinseyincanada, on 05/30/2009, -0/+4theres only 3 halo games plus the mediocre RTS game, its a franchise why wouldn't they make as many games as they can? look at all the Final Fantasy games, or Mario. Halo is a brand.
- nepidae, on 05/30/2009, -0/+3I do agree that for the most part (not always though) series do get worse as they go on. I'd add Final Fantasy (some misses, but some great hits later in the series), Quake (imo Q3 is the best of the series). However there are plenty of new games that have great gameplay.
Yes a majority of games don't follow this, but I would say the same about movies. Its not that movies are worse than 20 years ago, its that we only remember the good ones so it seems like its getting worse. - Elranzer, on 05/30/2009, -0/+3He says douchy things like "I won't develop for the Xbox because the controller is too big." but even earlier than that, he got all uppity and fuming over porting Metal Gear from the obscure MSX console to the dominant NES console (a move which kept Metal Gear from obscurity).
- FFXIfrohike, on 05/30/2009, -0/+3Ooh, watch it there! You're dating yourself. *corporate guffaw*
- dcramps, on 05/30/2009, -0/+2The only one I actually agreed with was Activision and Bungie.
- petethepanda, on 05/30/2009, -0/+2They'd rather hear from Cliffy B than any of those on the list?
lol - philipz78, on 05/30/2009, -0/+2She was supposed to be a new face of what Nintendo wanted to achieve. The Nintendo E3 press conference was not an accident. They honestly believed that we would all accept it. hectordejesus did not agree with what Nintendo was trying to do, so he sold his Wii. I was disappointed by it as well, but it's not my main console. Nintendo looked like it was aiming at casuals only.
If Nintendo wants to even pretend to cater to hard core gamers, she will not be around this year. - inactive, on 05/30/2009, -0/+2Those things creep me right the ***** out. But yeah, gotta agree.
- drstock, on 05/30/2009, -0/+2Jack Thompson should have received an honorable mention on this list.
- DarthVolta, on 05/30/2009, -0/+2people like you are the reason that everyone hates halo. when you open your mouth to defend halo 3, it only makes those of us who play and and who are NOT retarded look bad.
- NuclearFriend, on 05/30/2009, -0/+2http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IH2w2l1JTs4
- tgc1, on 05/30/2009, -0/+2Thanks, I didn't even know what the hell GoKings was talking about. Sounded funny.
- NinjaGod, on 05/30/2009, -0/+2http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BOHqG1nc_tw&fea ...
- Leo55, on 05/30/2009, -2/+4Halo 3 is like the top game of the xbox beating Call of duty... they got to be doing something right to pull numbers like that. Honestly i feel that its simply a evolution of past quake gameplay where the gameplay itself is barebones so players can have more space to experiment.
- doubledmateo, on 05/30/2009, -0/+2Yeah, I don't buy the whole, "games are on the decline" thing. Valkyria Chronicles is an excellent example, and I've had a lot of fun with the majority of the titles that have been in this generation of games. My only slight beef is that with these massive open world games, so much time and effort is put into creating these insanely complex worlds when the time could be better spent on core gameplay aspects. Even that has exceptions though. I love inFamous, and GTAIV.
- ghostrc, on 05/30/2009, -0/+1Whats with all the anger? The person who wrote this article needs to take a deep breath and calm down.
- adml_shake, on 05/30/2009, -9/+10You could always not buy them.
- m4xn00b, on 06/01/2009, -0/+1Why does Harold Ryan need to stfu? I don't remember him talking any ***** about anything.
