Medic is my main class, and so I'm getting yelled at usually because there are too many medics or something, and most of the time they are just running around trying to bonesaw people or ubering other medics.

Also, once they start rolling out the other class achievements (whenever that is), things will start to level out again. But still, it's not that bad; it's kinda funny seeing 9 medics on each team running around like lunatics with bone saws.

  • Stupidumb, on 05/02/2008, -0/+14Depends how you play and who you use. If you go sniper, you probably need some clicky talent. But maybe for a new player, you could go demo and chuck bombs everyone (not saying demo is a "noob class").
    Or if you just want to have the best time ever, get a medic to uber you as a pyro and go ape *****.

    Single player CoD4 totally owns TF2 single player.

  • PhrosTT, on 05/02/2008, -0/+7the 'skill' in this game is weird. every once in a while you can skill people (tear through like 5 guys using soldier) but a lot of the time it's knowing what class to switch into.

    i've won games for our team just by switching to spy and sapping a bunch of ***** or by going engineer and setting up a teleport everybody else was too lazy to do.

    Valve did the right thing by taking a different approach on improving visuals.
    Crytek actually managed to create photorealistic visuals but nobody can play their ***** game at those settings.

If I'm not having a good time due to not doing well, just being bored, or if I just plain want to forget strategy and set ***** on fire, I go pyro. Nothing is more satisfying than running into the other team's spawn at the start of a dustbowl round while ubered.

You can cause serious damage if you have lots of good medics, i remember once a few months ago the most increadable thing happened on a pub, we uber-pwned the other team for about 30 mintues straight on dust, half the team went medic and ubered like an engy and a demo and heaps of other guys like soldier and we would run right through to their spawn and set up stuff there, demo would destroy teleport entrances and sticky entrance for when they come out. We won like 30 seconds into the game every time as they couldn't get past their own spawn and we easily got their two CPs

    It's not just the graphics. The animations, artistic style, and voices go way beyond the label you are trying to put on this game.
  • rrc589, on 05/02/2008, -0/+4HL2 DM is awesome if you just want to jump into a server with some buddies and play around with the physics and stuff. In terms of using strategy having fun competitively, TF2 is leagues above DM.
