For those not in the know, the SNES had nearly double the stages and villains of the arcade version. For example, the arcade version did not have the Technodrome nor the battle with Shredder where you throw Foot Soldiers at him. It was also missing one of the Krang fights. Some of the bosses were different. Leatherface, Slash and the Rat King were all absent from the arcade.
In the arcade version, you fought Tokka and Rahzar on the pirate ship. In the SNES version, you fought Tokka/Rahzar in the Technodrome, and on the pirate ship you instead fought Rocksteady and Bebop (who were not in the arcade version at all). Since I'm seeing Tokka and Rahzar on the pirate ship in the new screenshots, I'm a little worried.
I hope they're taking on the SNES version. Actually, I hope it's expanded even more, I'd like to see more villains. Perhaps we'll see Karai, War, Mutagen Man, General Traag and/or Wingnut in this version along with new time periods. - glendower, on 06/03/2009, -1/+29The big apple.

And have it be a port of the arcade version, the SNES version may have been longer but the graphics power of the arcade game were more than the SNES could handle and some of the levels suffered, namely the hoverboard level. I have fonder memories of the arcade version i guess.

- Fygee, on 06/03/2009, -0/+2Cartoony is fine (and in this case, it's preferred). That doesn't mean the models have to look unrefined and the textures blurry.
The close up of the foot solder being hurled into the camera is a good example of what I'm talking about.
