- bitterCAMPARI, on 10/12/2007, -4/+27wall hack!
- sonick, on 10/12/2007, -13/+34Might as well go the extra mile: http://www.duggmirror.com/gaming/Super_Mario_Bros_Tricks_in_Animated_GIFS/
- Carbamide, on 10/12/2007, -0/+12Gee... thanks guy for posting the entire freakin' page. We've never seen the firefox webpage unavailable page before.
- invader, on 10/12/2007, -6/+10good example of someone relying [too much] / [only] on digg for information on current events
- bryant, on 10/12/2007, -6/+9No...net neutrality passed.
It's just the site.
EDIT: Oh. I just read a bit more from the front page of digg...
Still pretty sure its just the site, though. - jamesey, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4I was looking to brush up on my Mario tricks for the NES emulator on the Wii, but I don't think these will work on that.

You know you can middle-click (mouse wheel) in Firefox to open a link in a new tab, right? - helix400, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2The negative world glitch was pretty impressive. It took me a long time to nail it, but sure enough, I was in an endlessly looping underwater map that was called World -1.
Unfortuantely, I didn't see it on that page. But the rest of the page rocked. - BloodShotiPod, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Many of the glitches were fixed for the previous re-releases of the game.
- kingdox, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I was at E3 and the guy running the virtual console said he had seen people pull off alot of glitches like negative worlds on SMB. He said they are strait ports so all the codes work and the slow down in some games should still be there.
- phoenix11, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2It depends on whether they emulate the NES game or port it. If it's emulated, there's a good shot depending on whether they patch the glitches in the emulated version. If they emulate the original NES ROM unmodified, these tricks will surely work.
- raiderj, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I don't see why they would put in special effort to fix these glitches. My guess is they will emulate the original NES hardware as completely as possible to increase the speed at which more titles can be playable.
- robotsongs, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2uhm... *****? you played SM1 in 1985 when you couldn't feed yourself?
Ok. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -5/+7I was just joking. :P
- phoenix11, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2True, my guess is also that they probably will not invest any time or money if people are happy paying $5-$10 for the "glitched" original.
Unless, of course, they pull a Lucas... - pepdigger, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1WOW! nice work! weed need more games tricks in gifs!
- LocalH, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Since that had gotten removed from the Wikipedia entry, I added it to the Wikibooks entry, along with a few other tricks.
http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Super_Mario_Bros. - LocalH, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I discovered the little fiery Mario trick without outside assistance, as a child, as I'm sure many other people did.
- chmod, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Not just firefox either spyro, but middle click seems to be sort of standardized for browsers that support tabs. In my experience it works with opera, firefox, safari, Shiira, and camino.
- Narpas, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Aye. The speed run videos they have of different games are well worth watching on a lazy rainy day.
- sExl, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3No no wait. It actually takes less of an effort to hit Ctrl+A, Ctrl+C and then Ctrl+V again somewhere. Much less than typing "oi it doeshnt werk here".
- Otto, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Why do people link to duggmirror when there's images on the page? duggmirror doesn't mirror the images, which are the most bandwidth intensive part of pages.
Use Coral instead. It has the images: http://tasvideos.org.nyud.net:8080/SuperMarioBrosTricks.html - alexp2ad, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1"Actually, when linked to duggmirror.com, the site reads the referer address, and if it is a digg story, it directs you to that mirror. Heh, that's neat. Though I drag links into new tabs, so it isn't too much use for me, but neat, none-the-less. - shabos, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0we used to call it "small fiery mario" and it originally appeared in the predecessor to Nintendo Power, the Nintendo Fun Club, I may still have a copy, and if I find it I will post the scans. Also, listed, were the minus world, and the warp zones. I don't recall it stating any gamers "discovered" it
- cphuntington97, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1alexp2ad, you can also control+click or middle click links to open them in new tabs.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -9/+8My ISP is blocking this site! Damn the US Government!
- rezendes, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2I'm pretty sure I was the one to discover the little fiery mario trick in SMB1... I played that game right when it came out when I was little... and discovered it on accident... I wonder what year these guys 'discovered' the glitch... to quote wikipedia "This glitch, originally discovered by gamers Grady Haynes and Tom Shoemake" http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Super_Mario_Bros.&oldid=27944018#Little_Fiery_Mario
if only I knew how to report this sort of thing when the internet wasn't around... and I was young, not sure... like 7 or 8 yrs old max. born 1985 (the year SMB1 was released) - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0So Super Mario is an old game with lots of glitches and exploits. News?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -4/+2Exactly!

- znxster, on 10/12/2007, -10/+7Ugh, the site is slow .. however .. I like a lot :)
- Gyga, on 10/12/2007, -8/+2NVM someone beat me to a mirror
- beelz, on 10/12/2007, -11/+3Aim bot!
- CaptainEO, on 10/12/2007, -11/+3...but that's cheating!
- Blindbeard, on 10/12/2007, -10/+1They will the instant someone hacks it.
