- DigiDave, on 10/12/2007, -0/+32The story is incomplete if you don't look at the pictures of the park: http://blog.wired.com/nintendopark/
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -5/+26This has to be the lamest attempt at a Theme Park.
- sundancekid503, on 10/12/2007, -1/+21It's all fun and games until the first fireball fatality
- retral, on 10/12/2007, -3/+19This sounded awesome until I saw the pictures :(
- SystemError, on 10/12/2007, -2/+9I still do.
- mDonaldson, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8A return to the days of low tech entertainment
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8I sure hope they can get the Tanooki Suit working
- Dennern, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8Then you have obviously never heard of Danfoss-Universe
http://www.danfoss-teknorama.com/Start/About%20Us - TheThirdWheel, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7I used to wish there was a paintball arena built to look like a Doom 2 multiplayer map. Come to think of it, if you aren't worried about copyright infringement that would be a hell of a lot better than being flung around by a bungee contraption trying to land on a bean bag with eyes.
- felchdonkey, on 10/12/2007, -2/+9We'll be writing it up in the next issue of Permission magazine. Here's a few photos on our editor's blog, in the meantime (with video!):
http://www.ensuinghijinks.com/2006/05/super-mario-bros-beta-testing.html - JJ, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7I used to WISH this kind of stuff existed when I was a kid. Guess these guys did too...
- jack_of_knaves, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6"..not to mention ILLEGAL.
As the website states, "this is a massive copyright violation."
Since when were we digg users to blow the whistle on something this cool? If you think it's so lame, you obviously have never played mario/aren't a mario fan(shame on you)/ or don't know what's good for you....If you do the research they need big bucks to fufill their complete vision (around some 35 mil...yeah ALOT). Just wait till you see it at E3 next year. Kudos to them
Digg - Echowinds, on 10/12/2007, -11/+17And the kids go: Wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!
- boredzo, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7If it was submitted 7 days ago, then it's too late for it to make the front page, so don't worry about it. This one did make the front page.
As for Wired: Digg is a primarily tech site, and Wired is a primarily tech magazine. Expect overlap. - Piper7865, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6This is the *****. I doubt Nintendo will sue their asses unless they start charging people money, at the moment they're just making a really cool concept into reality. This is for sure dugg.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6This new theme park reminds me of something that I'd see in a Japanese Game Show.
- pixelwerx, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Dugg for creativity!
But they are so getting sued. - MuffinMan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Saw them advertise on craigslist a while ago, asking for volunteers. Almost went.
- spectre_25gt, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Most of the people posting here probably grew up on Mario.
- Zippo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Not bad all for an non-funded attempt. Looks fun to me :D
- dolson, on 10/12/2007, -5/+10The graphics aren't very good compared to Xbox 360.
- ReaperUnreal, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Wow, I would definately pay money for that. Who cares about video games when I have real-life video games!
- jayfarer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Needs a Kuribo's Shoe.
- koabel, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Give them a break, could you come up with something better on your own funds?
- ArcticCelt, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5You can see a video of the action on their Web Page.

Looks to me more embarrassing than amusing :)
It's kind of a Super Mario/Tron man project venture! - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4A guy on their team is a web dev and their site still looks like crap.
- Meshyf, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Looks like something out of MXC
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4This is actually a great idea. Nintendo should totally take over this project and make an actual amusement park. I mean, Disney pulled it off. I'm sure Nintendo could, too.
- Hermitwise, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Nintendo should make a full fledged theme park, like Lego land. Think of all the theme rides you could easily make, Pilot wings, Zelda, Mario, Mario kart. Mushroom shaped ice cream.. I realize they're a game company, but still, they certainly would have the clout in japan at least.
- mikedpirone, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Now only if I could break bricks with my head and eat shrooms that make me huge.
- violentvinyl, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Only in college, and already in Wired. Probably gets to play Mario when he's drunk. Sounds like he's got you beat.
- Daniel591992, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2YES!
- evilspoons, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Holy crap, this is retarded.
- mDonaldson, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Feathers and fireballs would really improve the park.
- ThankTheCheese, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2could you imagine the lines? I don't wanna wait for half an hour while some douche puts his mario mustache on! ;)
- scruffmaster, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Ha ha I didn't know those things were called goombas : )
- HisTumness, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2You're not really jumping like Mario (or most video game characters) unless you can change the direction you're moving in midair.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2"you obviously have never played mario" Who here has *NOT* played mario!? I want them drawn and quartered.
- omegadude, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2I wonder what's the deal w/ this new-age fascination with Mario.
- isaymeow, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I love how people just look at the pictures and never read past the first paragraph. It's a part of a class -- not meant to be a "real amusement park."
- JayEss, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I'll snag some magic mushrooms, HA!
- Computer_Kid, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1When can I ride!
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Great idea! Especially because I am in a wheelchair
- twollamalove, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1@Dennern
This will probably get modded down, because it's kinda lame, but that is the funniest thing I've heard today. You really caught me off guard. - DigiDave, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I think content is king. My digg was just a link to the site..... but this was a nice article that took the time to explain it, lots of good pictures etc.
- Wobble, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0this is friggin sweet and one of the best ideas in years. it looks like a blast in early prototype. :) hope they find funding
- blonkm, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0a web developer is not a designer!
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I can't look at this article because there are no pictures.
