- porplem, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I feel that buttons add to the gameplay experience.
- DisposableRob, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1This is not the Revolution or the next DS, Nintendo does make other thing besides video games for home use.
- taSkiH, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1In according to shigureden.com,
Shiguraden is an entertainment park that
people can enjoy to play "Hyakunin-Isshu".
Hyakunin-Isshu is a traditional game in Japan
and Nintendo sells Hyakunin-Isshu cards for a long time.
The game is that when one person starts to read out one poem,
others have to find out the card laid on floor and get it as fast as they can.
Now,look at the left picture of this source.
The word displayed on the right screen of NDS means "GET".
So I guess that when I stand on one of the cards,NDS gets its information with WiFi.
And I can play a big Hyakunin-Isshu with NDS. - nightwang, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0http://www.nintendo-inside.jp/news/160/16026.html
This kind of explains what the DS like device is for. Hard to understand with Japanese to English translation. Quote:"It is what, funny so is. Is the private terminal probably something which designates the DS as the base?" - playbombcom, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0hmm interesting. i thought maybe it was some kind of writing interaction by the looks of what she was doing. sorry for the dupe, for some reason it didn't show up.

lol. seriously. - playbombcom, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1You must be retarded to insinuate the pictures are photoshopped. This is all really official stuff. Obviously you didn't check it out at all or you would realize it's not shopped. Why would Nintendo shop their own pictures?? This is straight from Nintendo! The only reason the article goes to Playbomb is so you can see the pictures without having to hunt for them on Shigureden.com (which is linked to straight from Nintendo's official Japanese website).
Please don't make such ignorant comments. - playbombcom, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0All the pictures in the article are indeed on Shigureden.com. Note that one picture has increased brightness and contrast though so you can see that there are no buttons. The other picture is as is.
It seems as though the place also has an oriental style cover/case for the DS. Also when using the buttonless DS the girl holds it sideways (in comparison to the way we know a DS should be held). She also isn't using the small stylus that comes with the DS but rather a larger stylus.) - nightwang, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Sorry about the link above. Try this one http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=ja&u=http://www.nintendo-inside.jp/news/160/16026.html&prev=/search%3Fq%3D%25E6%2599%2582%25E9%259B%25A8%25E6%25AE%25BF%26hl%3Den%26lr%3D%26sa%3DG
If it doesn't work then you have to translate it in google. - playbombcom, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0hey good investigating, though i find it highly confusing. indeed it seems as though nintendo built some buttonless DSs for a japanese historical exhibit in which users can interact?
- shadowsurfr1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Japanese article written by Mr. Cube hahaha
- AttroPheed, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Ogura hundred human one neck project!! machine translations are funny.
- eliomar, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0i like the way nintendo, like other japanese companies, promote by the use of using physical places and making things like this. too bad companies here don't do the same with the PSP or DS like in japan.
- nymphetamine, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0im still kinda skeptical about this. i mean, is it really a ds? maybe its just a knockoff.
- playbombcom, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0thanks taSkih! ^_^ you see that makes much more sense now
