- KezG, on 10/29/2007, -0/+46I loved Spyro on the PS1... chasin those lil sheepy things
- ahnonamis, on 10/30/2007, -1/+40Why, God?
- atomicpoet, on 10/30/2007, -1/+32Will he be voiced by Sean Connery?
- whatthefu, on 10/28/2007, -0/+20The first two Spyros rocked so hard. Then it lost all its magic.
- felidaeus, on 10/27/2007, -0/+19All we need is Uwe Boll and this movie will be perfect.
- loganhid, on 10/30/2007, -4/+23This would actually be a great idea. Spyro games tend to have good story-lines.
- philliesphan026, on 10/27/2007, -1/+13Agreed, it brings back great memories. That was my favorite game series back when I was a kid, by far.
- barandon0D9, on 10/29/2007, -0/+12I shertainly hope sho.
- Rob223, on 10/28/2007, -0/+11I'd say the first 3 on the playstation were the only good ones. Spyro 2 being the best, of course.
- CyberBlade, on 10/29/2007, -0/+10Im with him, i like spyro.. im a grown man though, so i cant really admit it, but its digg.. ;)
EDIT: forgot to also admit im working on the first one, the PSX version, never jumped on the newer ones. - Klarth, on 10/28/2007, -0/+10"Spyro the dragon is an undercover secret agent in a post-apocalyptic fantasy world. Clad in leather, and wielding a wide arsenal of firearms, he's on a quest to..." Oh, ***** it, you can't make this stuff up. I've got nothing.
- Jammie, on 10/28/2007, -1/+11I used to love Spyro on the PS1, but the new ones, since the release of the PS2, just haven't been the same.
- spyrochaete, on 11/01/2007, -1/+11I'd better get royalties if they're making a movie about me.
- xxbrighteyed, on 10/30/2007, -3/+12now we know why people have to put that stupid /sarcasm on the end of comments
- Azimuth1, on 10/30/2007, -2/+11http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Final_Fantasy_VII_Adv ...
- underdog5004, on 10/27/2007, -0/+7The third one was good, brought in a lot more playable characters. In my opinion, the "Season of [Fire,Ice]" games for the GBA were the worst games in this series. There were nothing more than giant scavenger hunts, those 2 games....
- Xoti, on 10/27/2007, -0/+6Thats what they say about all game movies....But then what happens?
It never comes out. - bagboyrebel, on 10/30/2007, -1/+7what about the Spirit Within? That one at least had some sort of story instead of being one giant fight scene.
- Schmapdi, on 11/01/2007, -0/+6Notches go on bedposts, nails go in coffins.
- driftwood07, on 10/27/2007, -0/+6one was just amazing for a breakout ps1 platformer (besides crash) and then 2 just built on that and was extraordinary , the best platformer for ps1 along w. ratchet and clank imo, from there i dont really know cause i didnt bother with the others .
- TheJokerV, on 10/28/2007, -4/+9What the hell is Dr. Dolittle?
- 2Deluxe, on 10/29/2007, -2/+6That was a pathetic attempt at Sony basing. Go back to Engadget.. err I mean TUAW.
- kurejibitch, on 11/01/2007, -3/+7As a ~*~flowery weak girl~*~ Spyro was essentially the only game I could play as a kid that did not require me to annihilate zombies aka enlist my male cousins' help. I remember the games always had the most BEAUTIFUL colorful environments; fantastical levels, watercolor atmospheres and vivid sunsets, a simply STUNNING soundtrack from Stewart Copeland of The Police, easy but addictive gameplay, rather creative and innovative plots...every couple years I have to pop 'em back in for a week or two and relive ye olde childhood video game memories. It'll always have a special place in my heart.
That being said, a 3D movie? No, please, no. There is no point. The 3D Spyro is going to be moronically hyper-masculine, like some ADD-ridden little slimeball designed for small, brattish, inattentive children. Will I see it if it goes to theaters? Yes. Do I hope that day ever comes? Very, very much no. Dear god, somebody notify the inane Professor and his hot Fawn accomplice. - Rob223, on 10/27/2007, -1/+5PLEASE GOD NO. Technoviking is right. It's another once-great series that spiralled into oblivion after the generation jump. Insomniac went on to produce another great series, and sold Spyro to another developer. They pumped out a PS2 game that was annoying, only had about 2 levels, that had frustrating play control... why, WHY? Haven't filmmakers realized that movies based on games suck? And crappy games at that!
*Bangs head against wall* - oppokaze, on 10/29/2007, -0/+4oh thank goodness, the writers from dr. doolittle 4 and 5 are on the job.
- iXneonXi, on 10/27/2007, -0/+3The furries are going crazy.
- ClarkNoHeart, on 10/28/2007, -2/+5DragonHeart, not James Bond. 'Tard.
- Technoviking, on 10/27/2007, -2/+5It's official: Spyro is worse than Sonic when it comes to rehashes and selling out.
- barandon0D9, on 10/27/2007, -0/+3Does anyone remember Jumping Flash?
- mookieXL, on 10/27/2007, -0/+3Aaaaand... another classic raped by ***** movie adaptation. Good job, hollywood.
- triplehelix, on 10/27/2007, -0/+2hopefully Insomniac will make another spyro game.
- NightVortez, on 10/28/2007, -0/+2It's owned by Vivendi, the original games were published by Sony but they haven't been for two generation now, whatever money this will make Sony won't get a dime from it.
Why would you think it's owned by Sony anyway when the link clearly suggests it being on platforms like the DS and the Wii? - goldliop, on 10/28/2007, -0/+2Hey guys cmon, it could be worse.
Uwe Boll isn't directing it... - skinjester, on 11/01/2007, -0/+2could be entertaining if it were live action rather than CG. Or muppets. Everyone likes muppets.
- ILoveCynder, on 01/20/2008, -0/+2definatly! i love spyro games theyre sooooooo cute! but lately iv been hooked on the legend of spyro: a new begining and legend of spyro: eternal night good on the game designers i may be a girl myself but cynder is COOL best and most beautiful dragon ive ever seen on the spyro games!
- wafflesomd, on 10/27/2007, -1/+3This is, actually a good idea.
Most game to movie movies are based on horror games. - leif77, on 10/27/2007, -3/+5i was thinking more along these lines... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Final_Fantasy_Spirits ...
- ILoveCynder, on 01/20/2008, -0/+1FINALLY! a person who does think the movie and games r good!
- bagboyrebel, on 10/27/2007, -0/+1"Spyro was barely good as a game"
you just lost all credibility to me, unless you are excluding the ones by Insomniac. - ILoveCynder, on 01/20/2008, -0/+1CRAP! this game is by far the best DAMN game i ever played! im sure the movie will b 2!!!! so why are you saying its crap everyone?!?! once i played the legend of spyro new begining/eternal night i was absolutely hooked on it! im sure its good ( if it has cynder in it )!
- ArkAngel06, on 10/27/2007, -0/+1I liked the one for Dreamcast, not as much as the ones for the Genesis of course, but it wasn't bad.
- ILoveCynder, on 01/20/2008, -0/+1thats just nuts
- ILoveCynder, on 01/20/2008, -0/+1hey it might be good, ya never know

- Schmapdi, on 10/27/2007, -0/+1God they'll make a movie from any second-rate platformer nowadays. I can't wait to see Ty the Tasmian Tiger: The movie!
- inactive, on 10/27/2007, -0/+1Damn, I hope this is as good as that Final Fantasy movie was!
