- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+18No I think they were complaining about the price, the Blu-Ray, the fake screenshots, the blatant hardware plagiarism, the lack of HDMI, the suddently missing input ports... But I don't remember anyone complaining about the lack of games.
/I'm not a fan boy. But I hate "in your face duh" fan boy posts. - mandarin, on 10/12/2007, -2/+15Just preorder it from EBGames and pick it up on the first day. Its way better than hanging out BB.
- BlackSheepx, on 10/12/2007, -1/+14No Mario Galaxy??
- velofog, on 04/02/2009, -3/+15Guess I will be standing outside BestBuy at launch now.
- mandarin, on 10/12/2007, -1/+13so why comment ?
- ztpruit, on 10/12/2007, -3/+15Did you honestly need to waste your time posting that. Go back to jerkin it to the O'Reilly Factor
- Jedimonkey27, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10These are not all of the launch titles, these are just the ones that have been confirmed so far. There are also going to be many virtual console titles at launch and those aren't on this list. I believe that one of the execs said that Nintendo was shooting for 20 launch titles.
- AKBryant54, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10u know what? it may be a small number, but never before have i wanted so many titles available at launch.
- dgiaimo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8@sam10685
What about Super Mario World? - m0laria, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8Or watch the Next Generation on (TNN)
- sam10685, on 10/12/2007, -2/+10^ will EBgames have a box of a Wii waiting for u with ur name written on it? if not, i'm going with the Best Buys thing.
- Antialias, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9I think they either officialy said, or it was hinted by Miyamoto at E3 that it wouldn't be a launch title.
- Nobi-Wan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7No Mario game at launch? Not even a Mario Party? Or Mario Golf, Mario Bowling, Mario Fishing, Mario Soccer, Mario Baseball, Mario RPG, Smash Bros with Mario?? What about a Luigi game even? At least give me a Wario game. Come on, I'll even settle for a Luigi's Haunted Mansion 2 or a Yoshi game. Geez Nintendo.
- Moocat, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8Woot for Dragon Quest and Monkeyballs!
- Dabellah, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Could Sam10685 be any more wrong and ignorant? What do you call SMW and Yoshi's Island, as mentioned above? Those were both completely unique titles. SMW expanded on the whole side scrolling platform genre in ways that define it to what it is today, whereas Yoshi's Island was a completely new type of gameplay experience. Ignorance is bliss eh?
As for no Mario Galaxy, I'm glad. Reason being that Nintendo tends to take the time necessary to develop and perfect the games that REALLY matter to the gaming community. Take Zelda for example. Every one of those games is thoroughly planned and executed before it's marketed, and they will delay it for 2 years to get there if they have to (OOT anyone?). I say go them for the move, it makes a statement that they won't sacrifice their games' integrity just to suffice a launch date and title. - kurupt, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Just because Nintendo Power has confirmed SEVERAL Wii games that will be available for launch does not make it the ONLY games that will be available at launch. It's feasible that the big N will have Mario ready for launch, but are keeping it under wraps until launch day nears. I honestly do not see them unveiling their brand new system without having a Mario title. He's not only their flagship character but he is the the symbol of Nintendo. It's June -- wait a couple of months and we'll see.
- dalesmatrix, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6yet you took the time to post a message about it, interesting.
- PiratedTVPro, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7No, Super Mario Sunshine wasn't available at launch for the Gamecube... Miyamoto has said that it would be in the "launch window" meaning late 2006, early 2007.
- m0laria, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6Dood, true star wars fans don't need a video game to wield a light saber.
- oSiBo, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6Is it me or the Wii launch sound more and more promising ?
I know what will be under the christmas tree this year.
- SiB - - lukas88, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5I suppose most companies would rush it and release a sub par game, but no one would really expect that of nintendo, huh.
edit: I just realized that might have sounded sarcastic, but I was being serious :) - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6EB would pre-sell a game if they overheard a 5 year old saying it was going to be coming out, they presell games like 2 years in advance (Halo 2)
- pdiddle, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4>you know all these games wont be available
thank you for your groundbreaking, source backed revelation, internet patron. - bpapa, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Holy crap an RPG as a Nintendo launch title? :o
- ahatter, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4how could you stand waiting that long>!?
- jerloper, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Some people really are slow. It says 6 CONFIRMED titles. That doesn't mean those are the only title that will be available at launch. It isn't coming out till like November that is over 4 months away. There are going to be more titles than that.
- Destinatus, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4@gophergod: Maybe I will donate, anything to keep you from reproducing.
- Nobi-Wan, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4I'm waiting for a format OTHER than HD-DVD or Blu-Ray. Both are proprietary formats and personally, I think both will fail. It's not a HUGE jump from DVD like DVD was from VHS. I'm waiting for a media player that can sit on my TV and play HD content that I can download, record, or send. And why do I even need an entirely new player?
With how far compression has come I'm sure Hollywood could EASILY fit HD content on a regular DVD. The only reason Blu-Ray or HD-DVD has any use whatsoever is the amount of space on the discs, but that doesn't help me when I'm playing a movie. DVD's are still plenty big. - analdisco, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3"Let's hope this isn't anything close to the full launch lineup."
Yes, I am very slow. I had no idea that this wasn't the final lineup. I apologize. - dolson, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Why are people digging down others who are stating the truth about there being more than 6 launch titles?
- Drizzit, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Dragon Quest Swords: The Masked Queen and the Tower of Mirrors
Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
Rayman Raving Rabbits
Red Steel
Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz - daeyeth, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3I was expecting all those titles except Dragon Quest. Wonder how that's gonna be? I mean, it is an RPG isn't it?
- masterkenobi, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4Any word on a Star Wars game with lightsabers?
- ahatter, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2they presale games so early b/c they are gaining interest on the people dumb enough to reserve a game 2 years in advance.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4yoshi's island, a great one, i think it still classifies as mario
- LouisC, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Brawl's not coming out until next year. It's been said many times that it won't be a launch title.
- teamparadox, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Im all for Metroid and Zelda...and like every other Nintendo console thats about all I'll ever buy for it..well that and Mario.
Im still playing Zelda OOT (GCN version), and Metroid Prime 1 & 2 - MatttK, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3EB in Waterloo, Ontario isn't taking pre-orders for Wii.. dunno if that is EB policy or what..
They said they can't guarantee how many they will get. :/ - red7ine, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2apparently neither are apostrophes, genius.
- fani, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Any new franchise game or all rehashes of variations of Mario, Zelda and Metroid ?
- Quix, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Rayman Raving Rabbits looks like a blast. Can't wait.
- dunstdunst, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1http://wii-wii.us
- dolson, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1EB Games in Canada here said that they are not allowed to do pre-orders for the Wii.
They also told me that the launch date is scheduled for Nov. 6th... Take that with a big rock of salt.
They didn't have a price yet though. - otatop, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I'm second on the Wii preorder list at my Game Crazy. This fall will be awesome.
- rebz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1is virtual console going to be released at launch? if so i'll be content until more titles are launched :)
- perrywinkle, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Whiney McBitches...
If you don't like something, shut up and just don't buy it.
"Ooh your talking about about something you like? Let me put my 2 cents and tell you how much I hate it."
Welcome to Internet, every jack hole gets an opinion and thinks people actually care about it.
Go now, blog about why you hate easy cheese ya stupid dork. - slack31337, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1EB in Waterloo, Ontario isn't taking pre-orders for Wii.. dunno if that is EB policy or what..
They said they can't guarantee how many they will get. :/
