It started with America, swung in Japanese favor after American developers lagged, now almost 25 years later its swinging back in our direction.
Heck I give it less than 15 years before it goes back to someone else.
Look at Korea and China it's only a matter of time before they break into the scene in a major way, and it will give other developers more incentive to 1-up them.
I'm not complaining because the competition only breeds more awesome games for me to play ; )
