- troydooly, on 02/17/2008, -0/+1Great info, and Your picks are solid. I just hope Google starts with one of the smaller sites and leaves Digg alone.
- abledragon, on 02/18/2008, -0/+1Google already has too much of a reach and influence online. Wherever I can I steer away from Google sites - it's not always possible and Adwords is excellent, but I don't like to see them grabbing too much influence in other areas
- BrennanK, on 07/28/2008, -0/+11) Newsvine was just bought out by a big company. 2) Shoutwire bans everyone at the slightest provocation, so they are prepared for 'slapping' people. 3) Plime 'really' is difficult to use for the 99% of us who are technologically challenged. 4) Reddit is easy to use, as is Marktd. but only Digg is as big in their field as Google is in theirs. Maybe Google will content themselves with running everything else and leave social networking alone.

You guys don't work for Digg... or Google? - Mikeswede, on 02/17/2008, -0/+0Whatever they buy will loose it's interest to people. People don't like big companies coming in and take over.
They could buy my sharingmyfavorites.com though :) - Mikeswede, on 02/17/2008, -0/+0Google and Social does not go hand in hand
