  • Neatchee, on 10/10/2007, -2/+26This is definitely a bad thing, but I honestly can't say I'm surprised. Quake 4 was the only really productive title in their lineup. Competitive WoW is a joke; Gears is suspect due to it's glitch-ridden network code and mediocre community; Guitar Hero II is ... well it's freakin' Guitar Hero. I mean, c'mon; Call of Duty 2 doesn't have a strong enough following to justify it's age; Counter-Strike is so deeply entrenched that we really don't need another CS tourney; and as for WC3 I can only say, "vi sitter i ventrilo..."

    So long, WSVG. I can't say I'm happy to see you go, but I can't say I'll miss you, either.

    there are simply to many games, and they change all the time with new releases you cant get a large enough payer/viewer base like that

Having to dumb down to games like fight night and guitar hero so the audience didn't get confused was a terrible idea. anything matt ringel touches isn't worth supporting anyways, as long as ESWC/WCG/CGS sticks around then things are fine. maybe even CPL will step up and have a TF2 or god forbid a Q3 tournament now =)

Watching him navigate tricky maps while never losing track of his prey is amazing enough, and the fact that over half his shots are headshots is nuts. I totally respect his skills. He's a nice, mild mannered guy too.

  • goonbaggins, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3No they won't, MLG has all the top pros signed exclusively, plus a VERY loyal fan base. If Microsoft were to start their own and sue MLG to stop them from using Halo 3, it wouldn't be recognized as the top league because it wouldn't have the top players.

    MLG also has strong following in other games besides Halo anyway.

I'm just saying it's not exactly a proper title for a competitive tournament :( It's like adding pole dancing to the Olympics. A good pole dance takes a lot of skill, and I rather enjoy it, but it's not meant for the Olympics :D
