- jacksons98, on 11/11/2007, -1/+27The TV tuner is a great idea for a portable unit, I wish we could get that.
- inactive, on 11/09/2007, -0/+18If only everybody could be as cool as "Coolkid11". Hey cool kid... guess what?
You're a *****. - zachshmack, on 11/09/2007, -0/+16Yes. Steve Jobs pioneered the concept of selling a red product. In fact, he traveled back in time and invented barns, firetrucks, lipstick, roses, and marinara sauce.
- TBobes, on 11/09/2007, -1/+13Why does Japan get all the cool stuff. I would think the U.S. would be a good market for that as well, I can't think of why not...
- christhechris, on 11/07/2007, -0/+9Product (RED) isn't Apples baby. Its a charitable partnership between a a bunch of companies.

None the less, its does seem somehow familiar... - mokkos, on 11/07/2007, -0/+6I wish we could get GPS attachment for PSP. That would be killer.
- X18999, on 11/07/2007, -0/+6maybe a woman
- inactive, on 11/08/2007, -0/+6For me the Black is and will be the best coloured PSP of them all.
Second place goes to the blue one. - sarin, on 11/07/2007, -0/+5Not lame.
No pull out antenna.
My phone here in Japan has 1seg TV. Its digital TV, requires no antenna and receives all our standard TV stations (NHK rocks!) as well as our "BS" stations and on demand TV.
Most defiantly not old school technology. - inactive, on 11/08/2007, -0/+5Didn't they have a TV tuner for the Game Gear? I seem to remember someone on my block way back then who had one.
I wonder if something like this will help the PSPs sales against the DS... although honestly, i kind of doubt it, unless they get some more killer apps to compete against Nintendo's. - crazzy88ss, on 11/07/2007, -1/+5I guess they're copying moto's red razr, too?
- treizedun, on 11/08/2007, -0/+3I'm going with because they think up a lot of the cool stuff. there's got to be a few things in the US that don't get imported to Japan; granted i can't think of any and i lived there for 3 years now...
- inactive, on 11/07/2007, -0/+3Most likely Ken Kutagari would say it could.
- Soytaco, on 11/07/2007, -2/+5But can it defend us against the army of Hell?
- ShrimpCrackers, on 11/08/2007, -1/+4Well at this point, we won't be able to afford it. How much is the dollar worth now? Ugh. I'm watching all my savings drop 2% versus Canada today!
- FatherG, on 11/07/2007, -0/+3Ok Sony, when can other markets expect these goodies? I think AU got the camera/gps, but what about NA and Europe? Those ***** camera and gps attachments have been out for /months/. C'mon already!
- Midnightbrewer, on 11/08/2007, -0/+2PSPs with TV tuners make sense in Japan because many people use PSPs and DS Lites and the like to kill time or unwind while commuting by train. If you're leaving the office at 7 or 8 and have a 90-minute one-way ride home, you can definitely justify getting it. All of the major cell phone vendors already supply TV-equipped cell phones (the Sharp Aquos phone is gorgeous), though, so Sony may be trying to compete in the wrong market.
- inactive, on 11/07/2007, -0/+2It takes forever for anything to get stateside.
- spd998, on 11/07/2007, -1/+3To watch TV.
- ShrimpCrackers, on 11/08/2007, -0/+2I actually really like my white PSP. The scratches don't show up.
- LaueOfficer, on 11/07/2007, -0/+2You can, using the Garmin units they have for the BlackBerry, but you have to homebrew some code.
- bongowaxx, on 11/10/2007, -0/+2I loved the TV tuner on my TurboExpress. I'm in.
- UncleBadTouch, on 11/07/2007, -2/+4Sexy? Are you actually using that word to describe a piece of electronics?
- JudgeMonkey, on 11/08/2007, -0/+2The game gear did, yes. I remember sitting in elementary school in the lunch room when another kid had one... my god! TV on the go! That was amazing to me. Why, yes I was in special education... how is that relevant and how did you know?
- Aeric, on 11/07/2007, -0/+1agreed. That thing is hideous.
- s7r1k3r, on 11/07/2007, -1/+2I guess this will be replacing their tvs as the Japanese are known to live in confined spaces.
- DagMX, on 11/07/2007, -0/+1i dont think so. You can get a TV tuner for theDS(i remember seeing one somewhere on the net) and even the gameboy advance had a TV tuner.
- TBobes, on 11/08/2007, -0/+1So the US doesn't have people coming home from work on trains?
- kinggimped, on 12/09/2007, -0/+1Can you get TV tuners for the PSP outside of Japan? Seems like rather a good thing to have, though I wouldn't trust an aerial to provide particularly good reception on the move... which would be the entire point...
And yeah, Game Gears used to have TV tuners. A couple of people at school had them, we all used to crowd around and watch Neighbours after lunch break. Ah, nostalgia... - inactive, on 11/07/2007, -1/+2wow. this is the first time i have seen a person getting dugg up for using the word *****.
- carloto, on 11/07/2007, -0/+1And speaking of tacos, I ate a lot of them the other day in San Fernando, they have tacos de chorizo, suadero and pastor and all of them are good!... very good tacos!!
- jigzjader, on 11/08/2007, -0/+1Yup! the gamegear also the turbo express if anyone can remember it.
- shampoovta, on 11/07/2007, -0/+1I like that red, Dare Devil red. Like red velvet. I may get that. Will it be on Ebay soon?
- Viakenny, on 11/07/2007, -0/+1does any country other than Japan and Brazil (starting next month) have 1seg TV?
- MagicCake, on 11/07/2007, -0/+1No, but let me tell you something about giant crabs...
- suprememilo, on 11/07/2007, -0/+1we had it, it was called the game gear, but now with the new digital stuff handheld devices are currently incapable of picking up a signal until some new system is introduced.
- atdakore, on 11/07/2007, -1/+1links down, well the pic is anyway
- acex23, on 11/07/2007, -1/+1carmine psp? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Shades_of_re ...

- oxidizingfrost, on 11/07/2007, -0/+0Dugg down!! Don't use that offensive word. :P
- emperorpwl, on 11/07/2007, -0/+0http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-14-71-io-49-en.html
- wilhel1812, on 11/09/2007, -2/+1yes
- piratearggghhh, on 11/07/2007, -3/+1Although I like the idea of a TV tuner, I'm going to call it lame. Slingbox capabilities, IPTV or something similar might be cool but a TV tuner for a handful of stations with pull out antenna is some serious old school technology - I remember TurboExpress and Game Gear had something like that. The PSP needs a built in HDD and the ability to rip and store movies for me to buy one. Don't get me wrong...I still love the huge screen and I think it's a nice piece of electronic, just not enough to buy one.
- Flamekebab, on 11/09/2007, -5/+3People still want TV tuners? Why?
- themastersb, on 11/09/2007, -4/+1Who here uses there psp to wipe the grease off their face?
- colincornaby, on 11/09/2007, -7/+4I'm not sure why one would buy a PSP colored like women's lipstick.
- flounder7, on 11/07/2007, -6/+0ill
- manciini, on 11/07/2007, -6/+0Spraypainting your handheld red and sticking a TV antenna on the top won't help the fact that the DS is annihilating the market share. Sony looses in handhelds, this gimmick won't change a thing.
