- inactive, on 05/20/2008, -2/+13The only reason I'm not trading my Wii is I had it modded. Crappy free games are less crappy than crappy games that cost $10 less than PS3/360 games. I can stand the crap at free.
- inactive, on 05/20/2008, -1/+6mine was modded too, had over 40 games, i put it up for sale but this guy with a 60 gb ps3 with 2 controllers and 9 games wanted to trade, so i jumped on that asap. Sold those games and bought cod, gta, tekken, and gt with the cash so the deal I got was incredible.
after finishing the best games for wii, there isn't much replay value on the wii, except maybe brawl and kart. They really ***** up the online play.
If anyone is thinking about selling, just go play cod for a while and you'll see why the wii isn't all that, then sell your system and get a ps3 or 360 - theaceoffire, on 05/20/2008, -0/+5My biggest issue (And the one I am surprised they did not mention) is the memory block.
They give you 500 total blocks of memory for EVERYTHING. Your channels, browsers, saved game, downloaded games, etc. This is bad because now some downloadable games are over 250 blocks or larger in size.
So you have to delete all games you are not playing right now, download it, then delete it when you want to play something else
They can fix it by letting use use external storage (Memory sticks, usb, whatever), but won't due to piracy concerns. - mywhitenoise, on 05/20/2008, -1/+5Same here, mines modded, and plus the free VC games. I never turn it on, though. I burn all these games, but never play them.
Truth is, Smash Bros. and Mario Kart suck (they're basically the same games that came out on the Cube), it's hard to go back to those after playing games that are available on the other 2 consoles. - mattyice11, on 05/20/2008, -2/+6I sold mine without modding it, but even with free games it still isn't worth $250, imo. I played some of the high profile games during my 6 months of owning it and didn't think they were any good (Metroid, Paper Mario).

I like Nintendo games, yeah the 3rd party support sucks but the exclusives on the other 2 (except for MGS and Bioshock) aren't anything worth praising. Nintendo knows what they are doing, they are the only real gaming company. Sony and Microsoft obviously aren't just gaming companies but Nintendo is. We all knew the graphics weren't going to hold up and that the memory capacity was a joke yet most of you probably bought a Wii regardless. ***** it, these pretzels are making me thirsty.

- mattyice11, on 05/20/2008, -1/+3SSX Blur was god awful, and I'm a huge fan of the series. I've played SSX games on all 3 of the current controllers and the controls are at their worst by far on the Wii.

- Sarcasm8, on 05/21/2008, -0/+0Bought my Wii 14 months ago and have hardly touched it. Part of that is because I was WoW addicted. Now trying to play all the great PS2 games I missed during my WoW binge. So, eventually, I will get to Zelda, Mario Galaxy and others which are sitting on my shelf. Plus my 5-year-old like to box and play baseball with me, so that's cool. Wii does suffer from too much crappy shovelware though.

I don't own a wii and haven't purchased one 'cuz a) I've got a 360 and love it b) my mom has a wii at her place and it's fun for about 3 hours of boxing and the racing then gets monotonous and c) the online is TERRIBLE. I would only buy a wii for Christmas time so's I could sell it on ebay for a profit.
- inactive, on 05/21/2008, -3/+3the only reason why im keeping it is because my dad will get pissed for waking up at 3 and going to the store with me twice at 4 am. at the time, i thought the wii would actually get decent fpses. now i just want any fps. well, i used to before i got my 360 and CoD4.

And Boomblox is awesome. The Godfather and Scarface are considered by most reviewers the best on the Wii... Guitar Hero wii is good (and don't say DLC because there hardly is any to begin with... though personally I got the 360 version because so I can play my nephews - they have both systems but got GH3 on wii)

Okami, Brawl, Kart, Galaxy, RE4, Umbrella Chronicles, No More Heroes, Twilight Princess, NiGHTS, Zach and Wiki. They're all awesome.
Plus there are a lot of promising games coming out. Madworld, The Conduit, Dr. Mario, Strongbad's Cool Game, Disaster: Day of Crisis, Sonic Unleased (hopeful optimism on my part) just to name a few. - logicalnoise, on 05/21/2008, -2/+1any fan of clover would Boycott that POS port, ripped off IGN art and the credits are just the team who ported it the whole clover team got snubbed in their own game.
