How ***** uptight do you have to be about being in the background of a couple of guys filming a webcast. If you're that anal, don't go out in public!

Did he have a warrant or some *****? Why would you be such and ass face that just because you're being anonymously filmed you have to make it a point to make sure that the camera is turned off. You've got to be joking me. You guys should press charges and get a copy of the report and put it on the site. His life should be ruined just as the Star Wars kid's was.

what. the. *****. is wrong with that site? did someone take bunch of stickies, throw them at a wall, and then tell thier designer THAT is the layout i want. yeah!

General Rules of Video Taping:
(Laws may vary from state to state but generally these rules apply)

#1 Rule of Video Club - If its happening in public place and not a government property, you can film it
#2 Rule of Video Club - If its happening in a private place (like a parking lot) and is easily viewed from a public place and considered a news event, you can film it
#3 Rule of Video Club - If what you're filming infringes on the government operation (safety and security especially) you most likely can't film it.

Rule 1 didn't count because the parking lot is OWNED by a private entity BUT rule 2 did apply. When the cops came along Rule 3 kicked in. When the cops were leaving, rule 2 kicked back in. BTW: the guy was a douchebag. If he would have just turned around he would have been fine.

How do you assault the person filming you and not think maybe the video itself is going to get you screwed? All they had to do was say, hey officer, take a look at this video we just shot...

The cop had no right to tell them to turn off the camera while he was talking. He was in a public place doing his job as a public service. There is no expectation of privacy implicated there.
