I agree... It astounds me they continue to make crappy sonic games when they have a HUGE fan base from Sega days that would be all over a 3d sonic that played half as good as the side scroller... - LowenSoDium, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8They have been making 2D Sonics this whole time on the GBA and DS.
Granted, I would say that none of them are as good as Sonic 3 and Kunckles, or Sonic 2 even. - chedabob, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7i liked it. yeah, the camera turn was a bit annoying, and the homing attack was a bit nuts, but as i played it through a couple more times, i got used to them. dont go button mashing, and dont whack the stick so much. im sure in the final version, you can change the sensitivity (i did for pd0).
i miss the oldschool sonic, where you didnt have homing attacks and vortexs, you just ran from start to finish. i think they should do that sometime soon. hell, if they used 3d models and stuff, itd be ok, but the whole sonic in 3 dimensions sucks a bit. its like mario 3d. i hate it. - SweetsGreen, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7I'm still waiting for a Next-Gen Bonk game....

Those jerks at Sega have an obsession with casting hedgehogs into seemingly bottomless voids! I've noticed this on Sonic DS, and it seems even worse in this demo. Worse yet the controls so tight that if you sneeze you'll find Sonic flying into the abyss below. I'm hoping Sega gets the controls worked out before the final product ships because I do like the demo, but the controls leave for something to be desired.

- jcjdoss, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I would have to agree with some of people here. They need to get back to basics like Nintendo did with New Super Mario Brothers. I know that I do not need the MEGA 3D realism for a game to me great. Heck I enjoy Geometry War almost as much as any other game.
