- Kigmal, on 11/02/2007, -3/+39Hooray for Russian h4x0rZ!!111
- wisedude, on 11/02/2007, -2/+38watch it be made AO again.... just like hot coffee all over
- racco, on 11/03/2007, -2/+31censorship is a ***** disgusting practice.
- Sirocco, on 11/02/2007, -1/+30Not every game needs to be "Super Poof's Happy Strawberry Pancake Land". Variety is the spice of life, and for every socially acceptable title there needs to be one like Manhunt or Postal.
- cphelps, on 11/02/2007, -3/+28Eat ***** Jack Thompson.
- cphelps, on 11/01/2007, -1/+14I'm pretty sure you couldn't have ***** that up any more than you did.
- Eivo, on 11/02/2007, -0/+11Here comes another backhanded "Re-Rating" from the ESRB for something Rockstar didn't do.
- oslointhesummer, on 11/02/2007, -0/+11I believe he meant "Adults Only", as in a rating for the game meaning you couldn't buy it if unless you were 18+.
- missingnoh4x, on 11/02/2007, -0/+11I would much prefer if we didn't regulate what developers are and aren't allowed to put in games. That's called 'censorship'. Look it up.
- keyboardduder, on 11/02/2007, -2/+11Senseless violence is funny as hell. I'm in no way a violent person so suck it.
- Exhaust, on 11/02/2007, -2/+11Neiltc13 loooooves censorship. Its about time games are made for adults and Rockstar is at the forefront. Games are no longer just for kids. Get over it. All you have to do is keep buying the ***** kiddie games you love. Vote with your purchases rather than supporting nanny government censorship. If you don't like it don't buy it you ***** whiner.
- Anub1s, on 11/02/2007, -1/+10So you're happy that the government tells you what you can and can't play? Good for you, you're more complacent than even the dumbest of sheep.
- MyNamesTaken, on 11/02/2007, -0/+7What a load of *****. I dont know anyone who has played a game then wanted to go out and recreate it afterwards. Mentally disturbed people might, but then they should be locked up and not out playing these games anyway.
- Sirocco, on 11/02/2007, -0/+6*****. Bad parenting, or just plain lack of parenting in general, contribute to real life violence far more than gaming ever could.
- MyNamesTaken, on 11/02/2007, -0/+6Banning this game was just stupid in the first place. They dont ban the Saw movies or other horror movies so why ban video games. Its aimed at adults anyway. Its the parent's responsibility not to let there children play these games. Im an adult and I can decide what I want to do in a video game.

In case the server asplodes:
1. Open ISO in UMDGEN
2. Extract PSP_GAMEUSRDIRGLOBALLVLSETUP.INI and PSP_GAMEUSRDIRLEVELSA01_ESGLVLSET.INI
3. Open this files (with notebook) and find
Code:
# ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- #
[GK] execution colour ramp options: flash fadein (sec), flash duration (sec), flash fadeout time (sec)
EXECUTION_COLRAMP_TEXTURE FE_execramps
EXECUTION_COLRAMP_FLASH_TIMES 0.25, 0.6, 0.3
EXECUTION_COLRAMP_FADE_TIME 5.0
delete this strings.
4. Replace original file in PSP_GAMEUSRDIRGLOBALLVLSETUP.INI
5. Replace original files in all levels in PSP_GAMEUSRDIRLEVELS with GLVLSET.INI
6. Save iso
7. Play - hartley, on 11/02/2007, -1/+6No, they most likely did it due to time restrictions. They wanted to release it for Halloween. They were banned in the UK, and had an AO rating here in America. *In fact, even the the new censored version was banned in the UK.* They wanted quick and easy code to try to lower the rating on scenes that weren't approved of. What's the quickest easiest way to do this? Change a few camera angles and add some sort of negative/high contrast filter. You still make your deadlines and make all the officials happy.
For Rockstar, this was about efficiency and money. Not sticking it to the man. - inactive, on 11/02/2007, -1/+6Manhunt 2 on Wii was such a let down due to its overly censored 'violent' scenes. =
can't wait to unlock it on psp! - JudgeMonkey, on 11/02/2007, -0/+4The difference between M and AO is one year... one ****ing year!. It's just that AO is this scarlet letter... well, the O too in this case.
You know what is behind all the violence these days? The real big Nutty McNuttersons who usually think they are doing these things for the "greater good" or god's work. I'd be more suspicious of someone who wants these things banned so badly than someone who wants to play it. - Punisher2K, on 11/02/2007, -1/+5Do us all a favor and censor yourself. I don't need you or anyone else telling what I can and can't ***** say or do.
- MatchStick, on 11/02/2007, -0/+4hAckerz !!!!!!!
- chris9902, on 11/02/2007, -1/+5Somebody just made a fresh brew. This should be fun.
- ronaldmonster, on 11/02/2007, -1/+5I had to come back here for a second time.
Is it just me, or does nothing seem right about this story? The games barely been available and theres already a hack for it, I mean the Halloween release date was more than enough to raise some suspicion with a lot of the news media.
Maybe I'm just a conspiracy theorist, but nothing about the timing of this hack seems right. - Eivo, on 11/02/2007, -1/+5You know whats even MORE violent? "Murder She Wrote", someone dies in every ***** episode! If Rockstar's release of the game meets the ESRB's standards for a certain rating, then that is the rating it should remain with. The ONLY games that should be able to have the rating changed are games where the content changes due to updates, and then only updates released from the same company should be considered for a re-rating.
- racco, on 11/01/2007, -1/+5just asked my mother and it turn's out she does share the same view, she believes that if you don't like something, then don't watch / listen / play / etc
Just because you personally don't like it, doesn't mean it shouldn't be available to everyone who does like it. only a total ***** would think that
can't reach my father at the moment tho so can't speak for him, but mum thinks he shares the same view also - Exhaust, on 11/02/2007, -0/+3Did you play the original Manhunt?! It had great game play. The way every sound you made alerted enemies, the fact that your massively outnumbered and have to be very stealthy to proceed. It wasn't the best game ever but it wasn't lacking gameplay. You can't go by what reviewers say a lot the time. Reviewers these days are too easily swayed by hype.
- Exhaust, on 11/04/2007, -3/+6Everyone has different tastes. Some people like watching movies like Hostel 2 and Saw so therefore they would enjoy this type of game. If you don't like it go play some Cooking Momma. No need to censor everyone else because your a fruit.
And stop saying "Teenybopper" jesus that is so gay. You sound like a 80 year old grumpy old man. - aak4, on 11/02/2007, -1/+4I want some screenshots!
- justinp, on 11/02/2007, -0/+2Good luck on editing a locked comment. This isn't a forum... and even if it were Edit Comments are ***** stupid. Just as bad as FIRST! comments.
- offspring06, on 11/02/2007, -0/+2I saw the uncensored kills and I don't understand why they had to be censored. Hostel or Saw is a lot worse than what I saw from Manhunt 2.
- mabba18, on 11/02/2007, -0/+2Nobody thinks that 13 year old should be allowed access to this kind of thing. What we want is to stop censorship so that adulst have the freedom to buy what they wish.
- Herald42, on 11/02/2007, -0/+2Okay. What's the difference between beating an old joke to death and getting dugg down?
About five seconds. - kevdotbadger, on 11/02/2007, -1/+3Pitty it won't be released in the UK.
Hell, i guess i could get a copy... - Binarysolo, on 11/02/2007, -0/+2The big 3 platform holders wouldn't ban AO games if there weren't douche nozzles like neiltc13 out there whining trying to protect everyone from themselves.
- ronaldmonster, on 11/02/2007, -3/+5this makes me want to buy a psp.
- inactive, on 11/02/2007, -0/+2gotta love the bolsheviks
- andre321, on 11/02/2007, -0/+2you read slow
- KingGoonie, on 11/02/2007, -3/+5Anyone else think that all versions of the game have the unedited version in there... and that just entering a certain code can get it? Not even this iso image or whatever crap... but just like a code or button presses or something?
I don't care if it is any more or less violent then the first, but I don't like what I'm hearing about how it is now, where you cant see whats going on at all... I would be fine with a non-gruesome killing that doesnt destract you, again violence doesnt make a game.. but making the screen shiver and go black and everything so as to get pass that AO rating.. that will detract from gameplay. - PFinn, on 11/02/2007, -1/+3the description was almost as long as the article itself....
- GeekyGerge, on 11/01/2007, -1/+3Haha, DsLiteRules posts a Psp story
- gr0ss, on 11/02/2007, -1/+3Why? Code that gets over written or becomes useless stays in a lot of games, but never actually gets used during the game itself with out outside modification (gameshark / editing iso).
- hartley, on 11/02/2007, -1/+3Just an FYI for everyone getting too excited. This mod only takes away the visual filter. It doesn't however change the camera angle for those killings that are out of view. You can just see everything crystal clear.
- Endeavour3d, on 11/02/2007, -0/+2Now if these same Russian Hackers could find a way to un-rig their elections..
- Hello1024, on 11/02/2007, -0/+2I don't think any "content" should be age-restricted - if you gave a porn dvd and a cartoon dvd to a five year old, they'll pick the cartoon - and when they're old enough, they'll pick the porn - it's a self regulating system as long as you don't put rules in - if you say only over 18's are allowed to buy this game, then suddenly all the 12 yr olds want it.
- jaynemother, on 11/04/2007, -0/+1Please don't use the "F" word or I'll have to report you.
- GeekyGerge, on 11/01/2007, -0/+1Children want this game.
- Scira, on 11/02/2007, -2/+3If your going to bury me then come up with a better one.
- FLLawLibrarian, on 11/07/2007, -0/+1Get me the hack for the Wii. Then we'll see....
- BennyLava, on 11/02/2007, -0/+1If I don't get my daily quota of video game violence I start taking it out on innocent bystanders on my way to work. Thank you Rockstar for saving me from a life of violence.
