- ZWarren69, on 11/05/2007, -4/+61PS2 has more games than any other system, and the graphics are variable. PS2 rocks. Yall bastards can ***** off.
- behn1220, on 11/07/2007, -1/+58Does IOL mean "Idiot Out Loud"?
- inactive, on 10/30/2007, -6/+53Only 7 years late.
- indiephoenix, on 10/30/2007, -0/+17Not completely. It provides an option for those that are too scared or would rather not open up their PS2 and risk breaking something not to mention the memory card itself has uses based on it's own merits.

- nkohari, on 10/30/2007, -1/+15His username is "Coolkid11". Take that for what it's worth. :)
- HBNDonut, on 10/30/2007, -6/+20PS2? ... What are they, Cave Men?
/Sarcasm - ZenMojo, on 11/05/2007, -2/+15PS2 runs Linux. Yes, Linux. Some portion of the diggerati should be bowing to this machine.
- inactive, on 10/30/2007, -0/+13Standard memory cards were 8mb...
- MaxWatch, on 10/30/2007, -2/+14scared from SONY to release VAST as it was announced, I guess they are going the 'Cobra' way - with 'unofficial hacks' for the device so called released by third parties, while it's obviously all the same company.
- inactive, on 10/30/2007, -1/+11A mem card is a lot more reliable than swap magic discs that Can, and usually Do get scratched up.
- JudgeMonkey, on 10/30/2007, -0/+9Pardon me sir, it would seem your reply has fallen out of it's nest.
No need to thank me. Just be more cautious in the future. - solid12345, on 11/05/2007, -0/+8Sad people bitch about this being 7 years late. I never got around to modding my system and there are tons of import Japanese releases i've always wanted to play. Good games are good games no matter how old they are.
- loganhid, on 10/30/2007, -2/+10seems to be selling more than the 360 and ps3
- inactive, on 11/02/2007, -0/+8You can't run PS1 games off your PS2 harddrive. You can run PS2 games with HDLoader, or HDAdvance, or even USBAdvance, but theres no working app, or even emulator to run off the HDD to allow PS1 games to be played, so your statement is false. Also, you don't need an HDD to run homebrew, and a lot of homebrew isn't even supported to run off an HDD, so a lot of times you will get errors. I love people like you who want to make people think you're smart, so you make up complete lies.
- yor1001, on 10/30/2007, -3/+10wow This is awsome, maxconsole havent let me down yet, so I believe, would have been nice to use the psp instead of having to buy an entirely new card.
- SamuelDr2, on 10/30/2007, -0/+7Only with that exploit, you don't need a professional to install it if you don't want to risk messing your console, as not everybody is able to do that properly. In fact, the console *should* be unmessable with it.
- pigfister, on 10/30/2007, -1/+7lets hope the wii gets this done sometime soon!
- inactive, on 10/30/2007, -1/+7Jolly conversation here chaps, mind if i join in?
- frieddonuts, on 10/30/2007, -2/+7I finally found someone with a username worse than mine. That is pretty pathetic.
- loganhid, on 10/30/2007, -1/+6yes and quite good ones - ps2 is awesome
- trunkster, on 10/31/2007, -1/+5Why are people digging you down? I have been running PS2 copies and running games of the hard drive for years now. Who cares if you boot a special bios, the memory card exploit before is good enough.
- patch6, on 10/30/2007, -0/+4About time, I had thought that the free vast project died.
- XdigitalXdeathX, on 10/29/2007, -1/+5I'm glad somebody picked up the torch.
- sapo916, on 10/30/2007, -0/+4I have a feeling they meant "sony" branded with standard.
- rockrapdude, on 10/30/2007, -3/+6Finally. Gotta get the PS2 out and start downloading some games.
- solid12345, on 10/30/2007, -0/+3Many of us have a V1 Playstation that has very few options for modding.
- inactive, on 10/30/2007, -1/+4yellow dog linux of anyone is interested.
- affanjam, on 10/30/2007, -1/+4is it possible to run ubuntu on PS2
- Punisher2K, on 10/31/2007, -3/+5This is news? This was done years ago.
- grivad, on 11/02/2007, -0/+2Sooo... can you buy this Memor32 anywhere?
- Empyrean, on 10/31/2007, -1/+3Alright! More VAST-vaporware wannabe *****. I'll believe it when I see it in my hands.
- inactive, on 10/30/2007, -0/+2There's a difference. If your Memory Card can run a BIOS like type like this, it'll be a lot different and better than the independance exploit. No more swapping disks for backups mostly.
- benguild, on 11/01/2007, -0/+2It fits in the memory card slot on your Sony Playstation 2 video game console.
- inactive, on 10/30/2007, -0/+1considering that this is announcement is next to the ps3 review.. im thinking this is oh a couple years late?
- kansai22, on 11/01/2007, -0/+1Anywaysssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss
- inactive, on 10/30/2007, -0/+1No, I think "ThugATRON" has you both beat. D:
- DarkoXr, on 10/30/2007, -0/+1Yup
- ksakorn, on 10/30/2007, -0/+0dumbass at least they did something..
- kn0xy, on 10/30/2007, -5/+5@an8kid
Gee, and I bet you bitch about the price of the Blank CD's you burn your images to, despite the fact you still have not paid full price for your games. Get a Grip, $50 for the Chip means Not having the crack open the console and save the worry of breaking it. This way, if it does not work, then you have a 32mb Memory and Fully Working PS2. - evozero, on 10/30/2007, -6/+5my thoughts exactly. something like this is pretty much irrelevant at this point.
- DKL08, on 10/30/2007, -2/+1lulz silly russians.
- nihilisticmonk, on 10/30/2007, -3/+1Talk about late to market! muppets...
- ispshadow, on 10/30/2007, -3/+1You're so......fail.
- rowlodge, on 10/31/2007, -3/+1so you can backup your games, save them, so don't have to insert the disk to play? that would be nice if they would just add that with any platform.
- an8kid, on 10/30/2007, -7/+4sorry... but you have to pay 50$ for the card???well its hardly free is it?
kind of defeats the point.... when modchips are only 20$ or somthing... - viclaster, on 11/07/2007, -5/+2I won't be impressed until they hack the Magnavox Odyssey. Who's with me.
- kansai22, on 10/30/2007, -6/+2Do this many people seriously not know that you can run ps2 and 1 games off your hard drive with network adapter connecting them. No only does it allow home brew but instant load times.
- Bobbler, on 10/30/2007, -5/+1Sorry but the option of not opening up a PS2 has been around for years now. I use Swapmagic on my slimline with no bother at all. It was cheap and I didn't have to open up the case.
I dont see where this "fits" to be honest. -
