- Tophillious, on 01/20/2009, -2/+63ME is an awesome game. highly recommend it
- Dou6, on 01/20/2009, -6/+61dugg for Mass Effect
- scyphozoa, on 01/20/2009, -1/+34yeah man, its a bioware rpg, do you need to know more?
- ultimusgt, on 01/20/2009, -1/+28awesome awesome game http://www.metacritic.com/games/platforms/xbox360/ ...
- DanteDefiance, on 01/20/2009, -6/+33"xbots"? My god fanboys are annoying.
- rocke86, on 01/20/2009, -0/+25Hope they bring back the awkward talking elevator loading scenes. Better than loading screens and adds fillers to the story with personal character interaction. Just get rid of the awful inventory sorting, I hate the dreaded full warning meaning 5-10 minutes of scrolling to convert useless items to omnigel.
- reaper527, on 01/20/2009, -1/+25i thought it was great.
- inactive, on 01/20/2009, -0/+20Yeah, an MMO set in the KOTOR world. Not KOTOR 3.
- APTriggerMan, on 01/20/2009, -0/+17Dugg for the promise of more alien sex scenes.
- bigmuffpi, on 01/20/2009, -2/+17Man really hope so, although I'd be surprised. Then again, EA has never turned its back to multiplat.
- inactive, on 01/20/2009, -9/+23Still waiting for KOTOR 3.
- inactive, on 01/20/2009, -0/+13ME trilogy news has been around since last year. Still dugg because the game (PC version) was spectacular.
- DoubleV, on 01/21/2009, -0/+13pc version was good for me. Just putting that out
- BabyWookie, on 01/20/2009, -6/+18Yes, you should be excited, sonyfag.
- Zilk, on 01/20/2009, -2/+13Hot damn, I was just thinking this morning about Mass Effect. This is the main reason why I want a 360 but I'd be more than happy to get it on my PS3!
- polygons, on 01/21/2009, -0/+10The PC version hands down was far superior to the 360 version.
- Zeag, on 01/20/2009, -1/+11This rumor's been around ever since the first one was released. But seeing how EA and Bioware always mentioned that the series wasn't necessarily a Microsoft exclusive... It's more than likely going to happen.
- petebot, on 01/20/2009, -0/+10Yes, it has its flaws (the side planets are a little repetitive, but the main planets are really cool and have good quests) but overall it is a pretty good game. I also heard they are coming out with a special edition that is 20 bucks and includes the DLC, which is a steal.
- JollyDumple, on 01/20/2009, -0/+9Yes! As a fan of both the 360 and the PS3, I can say that it is an excellent RPG. It's got a couple problems, but it is very good.
- DforSpiD, on 01/21/2009, -1/+10You mean EA has never turned its back on money...
- orb_nsc, on 01/20/2009, -0/+8I can't recall the PC version ever crashing on me, nor problems with audio, video, etc. And I'm even using *Vista* which should triple my chances of any of that happening. You might have issues with your computer.
I take that back, sorta...I do recall it crashing once on me. Considering the hours played, that's pretty good. - GlitchEnzo, on 01/21/2009, -0/+8Kinda. It has a real-time combat system that has more in common with Gears of War than KOTOR, but the general structure of the game is very similar to KOTOR.
Personally I prefer Mass Effect, and the new dialog tree is a big reason for that. It is much more efficient to simply "point" at the summary of what you want to say. - fadetoone, on 01/20/2009, -0/+8I played it for PC. It's probably a bit better with the mouse, and I think the interface was made better for the PC, but the game was kind of buggy. I enjoyed it though.
- lotar732, on 01/20/2009, -3/+11Dear Bioware,
Ditch the Mako.
From,
Everyone - scyphozoa, on 01/20/2009, -0/+7I don't mind EA pimping out its portfolio so long as it doesn't compromise the quality of the game. ME1 already has tons of room for improvement, so as long as EA doesn't butcher this franchise (or anything BIOWARE) then I am okay and happy for PS3 owners.
- staticneuron, on 01/20/2009, -0/+7Risk free because they are now under the banner of EA. Who happen to have several dev teams that made PS3 titlels that perform without a hitch. Alot of resources might negate them walking the path that is already beaten.
- OMGRussellCrowe, on 01/21/2009, -1/+8Agreed. Also, RevChris, you need to look up "irony" in a dictionary, because acting like a fanboy jackass on the internet is definitely not categorized as such.
- JackSchittt, on 01/20/2009, -5/+12Um......you do realize that, pricing issues aside, the PS3 is considered the best blu-ray player on the market, right?
Oh, never mind. You're just an x-box fanboy troll. - GlitchEnzo, on 01/20/2009, -0/+6The news isn't that it's a trilogy, but that it may be coming to the PS3.
- coopa, on 01/21/2009, -0/+6I agree - i vastly prefer the PC version over the Xbox360 version. The menu system worked better and i found it a lot smoother to play.
- Optimaximal, on 01/21/2009, -0/+6'As for Mass Effect 1. It can't be ported because it isn't EA's to port, plain and simple. It wasn't the publisher of Mass Effect 1 and it still isn't now.'
Yes, it is the publisher. They bought Bioware and subsequently brought the game to the PC and will do so for the PS3. Microsoft Games Studios just hold the rights to the Xbox 360 version. - JeffDUpp, on 01/21/2009, -0/+6or play on pc
- maxsunset, on 01/20/2009, -1/+6Yeah, and driving a vechicle with a keyboard is like driving a car where it can only go full acceleration, full brake, and only hard 90 degree turns.... actually, that's exactly what it's like!
Get over it. Dual analogs is quite comfortable for the vast majority of gamers out there. Besides, if you're that hard for PC controls, ME is on the PC. - Planets, on 01/20/2009, -0/+5Hopefully this time the PC version won't be released months later. =)
- RevChris2, on 01/20/2009, -1/+6It would have been a crime against gamers to keep BioShock to themselves. I just got to the twist and had to go reexamine my life.
- WhereAmI, on 01/21/2009, -0/+5That was great, Microsoft paid to have it released 6 months earlier on the PS3 launch but the game was delayed 6 months anyway. One of the funniest Microsoft examples of wasting money ever. Also there were some 360 problems as well.
http://www.ripten.com/2007/08/12/gta-iv-delay-360- ... - freakstyle571, on 01/21/2009, -1/+5If porting Left 4 Dead is all it takes I think you need to re-examine your life a bit.
- CrimsonBlur, on 01/20/2009, -2/+6This seems highly unlikely. Mass Effect was published by Microsoft Game Studios as an XBOX 360 exclusive title. Something tells me Microsoft has a deal with BioWare that all ME titles will be published by them for the 360 and PC only, they would have been fools not to have such a contract. Comparing ME to Bioshock doesn't make any sense, because EA published that title.
Unless EA bought the exclusive publishing rights from Microsoft when they took over BioWare (unlikely because that has not come up), I would say this rumor was pulled out of someone's ass. ME is a major exclusive franchise for MS, I don't see them making this kind of oversight. - ASSASSYN360, on 01/21/2009, -0/+4Not syaing it wouldn't happen and all. But I believe MS has rights to Mass Effect. It did say in pretty white print on the mass effect box Mircosoft Game Studios. I have yet to read how that transition of rights took place between EA and MS beyond bioware aquisition.
http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3156637 - Budkin, on 01/20/2009, -0/+4Good for gamers, no matter the platform. This is a great game series!
- mustang460, on 01/21/2009, -0/+4really good game, though a bit short and side quests left much to be desired
hopefully with a good chunk of the universe already made they can focus on making more planets have cities, and offer up some more interesting side quests/jobs - nonymous666, on 01/21/2009, -1/+5Never had any issues playing it on the PC. Vista 64-bit. Performance was spectacular, too.
- LOLMadness, on 01/20/2009, -7/+11I am so glad that they may be porting this game over to PS3. After 3 RROD Xbox's, I gave up on the 360 and moved to ps3. All i missed from the 360 is mass effect! This solves my issue!
All they need to do now is port Left 4 Dead and I can die happy! - Laterali, on 01/21/2009, -0/+4I want some real info on ME2 please.
...Pretty please?
:( - SharkyTech, on 01/21/2009, -3/+7Valve games should ALWAYS be played on PC.
- inactive, on 01/21/2009, -0/+3Kinda of. It's real time combat can be "paused" to do certain actions. The cool thing is that if you play a Biotic or Tech you get force like powers.
You have an assault rifle, shotgun, pistol, and sniper rifle. If you are a biotic/tech you get a special biotic or tech equipment slot too. You also have armor based on species. A human cannot fit into another species armor (which makes sense).
Best game in a LOOONNNGGG time (although I have to say a little short...even with side quest it's at best about 30 hours). - dynamojoe, on 01/21/2009, -0/+3Liara's better than Ashley.
- dandonia, on 01/21/2009, -0/+3I got the irony, people need to chill.
- dandonia, on 01/21/2009, -0/+3It was a decent game but nothing to go crazy about. Worth a look.
- dandonia, on 01/21/2009, -0/+3Oblivion?
The one I want though is N+. I know it's not really an exclusive but I really want it on my PS3. Anyone know if it runs on linux through the PS3 - I havn't tested it yet? I know there is a linux version
http://www.thewayoftheninja.org/n_downloads.html
but my keyboard is broken. -
