- racketboy, on 11/01/2007, -2/+30I really wish more video game movies were done in either CG or traditional animation.
- elitistmusician, on 10/31/2007, -2/+21As long there's an animated Milla Jovovich nude somewhere in the movie, I'll watch it.
It'll probably be crap, but I'll watch it. - cbrunet, on 10/31/2007, -6/+19Who wants to bet that it will be better then Extinction was? Common, any takers?
- breedingGenius, on 10/31/2007, -1/+13Perhaps you, The Master of Unlocking, should take it with you.
- AshamedAmerican, on 10/31/2007, -3/+13Jill sandwich!
- Arfenhaus, on 11/01/2007, -0/+10You know what would be great?
If they actually stick to the storyline used in the games. No point making a movie based on a game if 2 sequels later it has ***** all to do with the original series. Christophe Gans proved that with a solid script he could make a solid adaptation of Silent Hill. Lets hope that whoever ends up being responsible for this one actually gets it right. - Gonz037, on 10/30/2007, -2/+10They can do whatever they want, I just wish they didn't all suck.
- mandarin, on 10/30/2007, -4/+11I think any movie will be better than Extinction...
- JonnyTrombone, on 10/30/2007, -2/+9Never happen!
When I saw Extinction, a storm blew out one of the theatre's amps- we all got free movie tickets! What's better than that? - inactive, on 10/30/2007, -0/+6Make it based on RE4 and I'm sold.
- terminalpariah, on 10/30/2007, -0/+4This is exactly how these kinds of movies should be made. CGI, direct to DVD, controlled by the series' creators and made just for the fans. You could make some really excellent films that expand the storyline/universe, rather than compressing them so you can explain everything to the masses in the first 12 minutes.
- geartype2, on 10/30/2007, -0/+3I agree, while many will argue against the thought provoking depth of both movies(that's a joke yall), I don't think many people can argue how amazing each looked at the time of their release. My only qualms with the latest FF movie was the poor rigging done on the wrist joints of all the characters, half assed honestly, good models though!
- esheep932, on 10/31/2007, -0/+3if they stick to the real storyline, i will be a happy camper.
- Lawr, on 10/31/2007, -0/+3Common?
- kriminalintent, on 10/30/2007, -0/+2Base the ***** thing on the games story!
- Sairgem, on 10/30/2007, -0/+2Skip the ***** spam.
http://ir.capcom.co.jp/english/news/html/e071029.h ... - INHUMANITY, on 10/30/2007, -0/+2God I hope so. My friends and I were very excited to see Extinction. We all loved the first one. The second one was OK, but holy crap the 3rd one was horrible.
The pacing, the characters, the story, all duds... All the "cool" action scenes could been compressed into no more than 30 minutes.
Granted it was neat to see some of the stuff from the first movie in the beginning, but after that it sucked hard.
A false ceiling above the ultra high security room with slicing-lasers? Give me a ***** break! - mandarin, on 10/31/2007, -3/+5Finally, Im pretty sick of Alice...
- Christbait, on 10/30/2007, -0/+2They were all a disappointment, at least to someone who was well into RE in it's hey day.
- jaymulder, on 10/29/2007, -0/+2It used to be comic books, and now its video games. Any predictions of the next exploited media source?
- colto, on 10/30/2007, -0/+2It really wasn't that bad. It wasn't really scary, but it was at least entertaining.
- ZenMojo, on 10/30/2007, -0/+2RE was good and it expanded on the games without stepping on them. RE2 just kinda ***** with continuity. RE3, well, I've never watched it but it looks like they ***** on continuity. Interesting how the movies that stick closest to the core elements of the game suck the least? It's sort of like adapting a novel in a way, figuring out what works best and sticking with it instead of just starting from scratch with the title.
- vertinox, on 10/30/2007, -0/+2To be fair, the First 2 REs kept pretty close to the video game compared to most other movies.
- skellener, on 10/30/2007, -1/+3Milla is the only reason to see RE.
- INHUMANITY, on 10/30/2007, -1/+2You were saved my friend. :)
- geartype2, on 10/30/2007, -2/+3I don't know, 30 days of night was pretty horrible...
- gmprunner, on 10/30/2007, -0/+1Great, now can they get the plot right?
- Pureeviljester, on 11/02/2007, -0/+1lol, i would prefer the translated title of BioHazard.
- h4mx0r, on 10/30/2007, -1/+2I hope it goes along the same lines of quality as the two CG Final Fantasy movies. (No, I'm not a fanboy, but I really admired the handiwork done on both of those movies)
- TheKingInYellow, on 10/30/2007, -0/+1you obviously have not played resident evil 4. res 1 and 2 are awesome games, don't get me wrong, but res 4 is pretty awesome, too. res 0 is kinda fun, but not like res 2 and 4 are fun.
- geartype2, on 10/29/2007, -0/+1to be fair, the storyline to resident evil is really really horrible in the first two games. I actually lost interest until 4 brought it back for me. I mean, do you understand how boring the movie would be if it stuck to the storyline of the first game? I'd rather watch Boa vs. Python.
- Wangzero, on 10/29/2007, -0/+1Thanks Barry!
- riverstyx, on 10/30/2007, -0/+1Uhm guys, they can't release "Biohazard" in america because theres already a band with that name. This was discussed eons ago. They've had to stick to japan for their biohazard title. kthxbye.
- SigmaDraconis, on 10/30/2007, -1/+2Resident Evil: The Spirits Within?
- tubaros, on 10/30/2007, -0/+1What exactly is a terrifying release? Im curious..
- fleischner, on 10/30/2007, -5/+6Speaking of CG movies... http://www.beowulfmovie.com
- Mpwns, on 10/30/2007, -0/+1toys transformers made a ton of money this year.
- oDGuardian, on 10/30/2007, -0/+1If Extinction lasted only 3 weeks in the theater I work at...the new one wont last that long.
- Christbait, on 10/30/2007, -0/+1The first 2 RE games were killer, I still play them today from time to time. Everything else after that was a snoozefest.
- geartype2, on 10/31/2007, -1/+2"Hey guys! I got me an idea! I'll inject myself with vampire blood and fight them off being a new vampire! What's the worst that can happen?"
- Scheissen, on 10/30/2007, -0/+1I'm wondering why do gamers want to see their video games transformed into movies? But I do agree with the person who said video game movies should be made with computer graphics, forget hiring actors trying to look like your favorite character.
- ironkhan, on 10/30/2007, -0/+0Maybe they'll set an example for others to follow.
- kero6661, on 07/28/2008, -0/+0Oh wait you missed the 1st one!
- rrbaker, on 01/15/2009, -2/+2Aw I was hoping the subtitle would be like "Resident Evil: Master of Unlocking"
- foxhoundadmin, on 10/30/2007, -1/+1how 'bout game developers stop rehashing the same old crap over and over and over and over and... you get the picture; and, in case you don't, here are a few examples: half life, resident evil, zelda, etc.
i mean, at least halo ended.
series have to end SOMETIME, people! - beatwaffles, on 10/30/2007, -0/+0my pants have been creamed...capcom..will you marry me?
- stythe, on 03/23/2008, -0/+0If you pay them a lot of money every night for the same tired sex, then yes, they probably will.
- stythe, on 03/23/2008, -0/+0The trailer looks great. While I don't expect a masterpiece of a movie, anything that looks as good as Avent Children is probably going to be a fun watch, at the very least.
Besides, now that there are no more zombies (or horror for that matter) in the games, maybe this will be a little more creepy?
Regardless, can't wait. At the very least, it won't be as painful to watch as the other RE movies. I don't like having my eyes bleed. - FluffBomb, on 11/01/2007, -0/+0Resident Evil has the potential to be awesome as a CG movie. I'll go see it.
- whatthefu, on 10/30/2007, -1/+1I just creamed my pants imagining how good a Hitman movie would be in CG.
