- Numfar28, on 10/12/2007, -2/+75Ooh, that's pretty neat. I guess that also indicates that the quality of the speaker is good enough to hear voices through it clearly.

... Consider it done. - iluvatar, on 10/12/2007, -3/+61Potential drawback: "This message will self-destruct"
- Darkshine, on 10/12/2007, -2/+52The implications! It boggles the mind!

... Consider it done. - TangentThought, on 10/12/2007, -4/+40I feel incredibly sorry for my deaf friend about this feature.
- eric1, on 10/12/2007, -1/+36In the article it mentions stuff like "Kill player 4 without killing anyone else" -- so objectives like this. Personally, I think it will be a pretty interesting game mode. I think you could apply the same concept to other games too.
- senseigmg, on 10/12/2007, -0/+33Or like watching 25 hot women hold briefcases for an hour...
- RandomSkratch, on 10/12/2007, -1/+31They're holding briefcases?
- o0joshua0o, on 10/12/2007, -0/+21This is the coolest way to get mission objectives, ever.
- interiot, on 10/12/2007, -0/+19Mystery/Clue games would be awesome. *ring* You are the killer. Player 2 is in cahoots with you, as you've managed to blackmail them because you discovered they did X.
That would be so cool. - NikoKun, on 10/12/2007, -2/+22hmmm, yah that gives a lot of interesting 'edge' to the gameplay.
Seems like its finally a way to add an element of surprise to a 'non-online' multiplayer console game. I think I'm going to buy this... I really really think I'm going to get this game. lol
"kill players 2 and 4, and collect their items" or something like that. And while playing, know one really knows who is going after who... ...Must...Get...Game...NOW! - dclowd9901, on 10/12/2007, -7/+27"I feel incredibly sorry for my deaf friend about this feature."
If he's deaf, he really won't know what he's missing. - Lonecow, on 10/12/2007, -0/+19Be great for a mystery-clue like game. Unlock secrets and only you are told if you ae right or not.
- Etheo, on 10/12/2007, -2/+21This is beginning to sound like The Ship (though I still haven't played it)... this feature would definitely be one strong point for the game. The Wiimote is like everything now. A gun, a sword, a phone... the possibilities are boundless :D

*"Banana Phone!!!"*
...*Throws wiimote into a brick wall* - Shmoo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+14Have you ever played Risk? Everyone can see the board, but each person can have a specific secret mission. Part of the fun is figuring out what everyone's mission is.
- justice7, on 10/12/2007, -4/+18the whole premise of Deal or No Deal is that the money people win is life changing
without that its boring. - joefurious, on 10/12/2007, -1/+12That has nothing to do with this article. Get over the name already.
- SkippyDoorknob, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10They need to add some driving missions and you drive around recklessly while using the Wii remote as a cell phone.
- NikoKun, on 10/12/2007, -4/+11Woah, this seems like a pretty cool way to use the Wiimote speaker... then again, I would think ur mission objectives in multiplayer would be quite limited, since it would have to be a prerecorded voice that tells u what to do... lol
Great use of multiplayer and wiispeaker! ^_~ - Slickjim, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7I think it would be great if one of the players, instead of getting an objective, just get a prank call. Then everyone would think they had a mission like them, but instead they'd just be killing everyone and asking about the location of their refrigerator.
- tizz66, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9You guys in the US have it good compared to us in the UK. We don't have models holding the boxes, we have ordinary members of the public. Seriously, there is NOTHING good about our one. Lord knows why it is so insanely popular.
- Dan™, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7That is friggin cool. And I don't consider the Wii's controller a gimmick, it just looks like plain fun.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+9"Kill player 4 without killing anyone else"
While Player 3 has to kill you, but you can't killer player 3.
Or: Both, player 1 and 2 have to kill player 4. But no one knows the real objective of the other one and they maybe become friends for a while until they know they have to defy the same enemy and then have to kill each other in order to reach player 4 first.
It's gonna be Very Interesting!!! ^^ - dandiemer, on 10/12/2007, -7/+13they probably have a feature for the deaf that will display the instructions on screen...oh wait.
- Paroparo, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7Great, who here knows how to program? I can umm... translate Latin if needed.
- DeathDefi, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6While it is true everyone can see your screen, the objectives are not projected on the screen. The objectives are given to you verbally from the wiimote control via the speaker. So whether they see your screen or not it doesn't matter in this case.
- Lososaurus, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Reminds me of the 'goals' in Final Fantasy: Crystal Cronicles: same idea, only it appeared on your GBA only(Plus everyone got one of the 4 maps so you'd have to talk to eachother).
- YourTechSupport, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Congratulations, you just make me crack up.
I commend thee. *HEADSHOT* - superstewy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4If this story was about online multiplayer whats the point? It could just show you this text on the screen or tell you over the speakers. The point is that your playing with others right beside you, and the game is telling you stuff that the others won't know about.
- evilizor, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I like the potential. And every preview of this game gets better. The only thing missing is online play. But I'm defenitely considering preording this game along with Zelda.
- mutantmagnet, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4I was wondering how many hours it would take before this became noticed on digg. It's not all that exciting news to me but the previous lack of multiplayer in any form prevented this from becoming a must have title for me. Now I'm satsified with getting this over all other fps games coming out before Metroid.
- terminalpariah, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I guess, but the Wii does Bluetooth out of the box, so I think buying a Bluetooth headset off the shelf is a bit more practical and comfortable.
- DollaDollaBill, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3that and user controlled dynamic sword play, instead of static animations.
- dohidied, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2This sounds pretty cool. I was just talking to my brother about the Wiimote speaker last night, so it's good to hear about the actual implementation. Didn't they show it making the coin sound in Mario Galaxy at E3? Maybe I just imagined that.
- merdiesel, on 10/12/2007, -4/+5"Nintendo, Your main objective is to make gamers feel like a kid agian..."
...this is ***** great. - dgcrazykid, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Yeah this is very cool, but other developers are going to look at this and come up with cool ideas also. Lets give props to Ubisoft for innovation!!
- Kale, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2The possibilitiy's what?? Don't write a possessive form and leave us hanging!!
- 10scott10, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1i honestly don't know whether to give or take away diggs from that comment
- jackelsmack, on 10/12/2007, -6/+7Wow, cool... except since there's no internet multiplayer, everyone can see your screen anyway, right?
- NervClaX, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1You'd think Jack Thompson would be more concerned about a console that teaches you how to swing a sword and aim a gun than a PS2 game like Bully. I mean, if you're actually swinging your arms and pointing the Wiimote, isn't that a "Columbine Simulator."
P.S. - Sarcasm. JT sux balls. - Bob042, on 10/12/2007, -3/+4Hmm, I just got an interesting idea. Wiimote + microphone addon that goes on the bottom = VOIP phone?
- afex, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1you wouldn't really want that IN your controller...but who's to say they won't make an add-on for that.
- ccanni1028, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Etheo - Imagine playing Counter-Strike on it, the terrorist with the bomb actually has to lay the wiimote down and punch in the right sequence to arm it.
- alexuel, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3nice feature!
- stevefig, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I think this new game mode will be pretty cool, beside the wii functions being amazingly creative, this mode reminds me of playing RISK when you have the mission cards, where you have to complete your mission but no one else knows what it is so it adds an extra element of strategy to the game as you try and fool people into thinking you have one mission while you suddenly run off to do your real mission.
- mrpaul1112, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Korean Air Lines (KAL) has in their business/prestige class a video game controller that resembles the wii-mote very closely. Now, it seems like Nintendo is copying it! haha ok not really..
If you sit in the prestige class, you get your own pop up LCD screen and you can use the remote as the TV remote, or play games by turning it sideways (it even has shoulder buttons), or flip the remote over and it's a phone! The main difference of course is it's not wireless and doesn't have motion detection at all. But still very similar. If you ever go to Korea, make sure you check out the prestige class on KAL for the KAL-wii-mote! - ccanni1028, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Your objective: Kill player three using only a knife and a banana. Everyone else will be shooting at you, but you cannot harm anyone until player 3 is dead. Then you must eat the banana and blow everyone else up.
- IcerC, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Very cool! Think of the possibility's.
