- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -14/+83Wanting to stop illegal immigration doesn't make you racist. Wanting to shoot them is an extreme position, but that doesn't mean it's based on race.

- jjk5, on 10/12/2007, -8/+34I'm sick of this "the jobs Americans don't want to do" crap. Those jobs go to illegals because the employers don't want to deal with minimum wage, labor laws, and taxes. Not because they can't find the help. There's plenty of people who would be willing to do labor if the pay was good. If you have immigrants who will take far below minimum wage for these jobs the American jobseeker loses, and the employer's wallet stays fat.
People say we need Wal-Mart and its cheaply made foreign goods because we wouldn't be able to afford those items otherwise. Really? Back in the 50s when many manufacturers were still based here, was the whole country without shirts on their back because they couldn't afford them? Globalization isn't just hurting third world countries, it's hurting first world countries as well. Cheap labor, cheap goods: they hurt everybody. - leptonbill, on 10/12/2007, -8/+34I don't understand how being against the law being broken is racist. If we had a signifigant problem with canadians jumping the border and glut of undocumented people because of it you would see the same reaction. By labling the opposing viewpoint as "racist" many are guilted into supporting a ludicris cause. The thing to keep in mind is that no one is saying stop immigration they are only saying ILLEGAL immigration which is ILLEGAL.
- dclowd9901, on 10/12/2007, -6/+29People are getting upset over a goofy friggin flash game? I've seen worse things said at tshirthell.com, and last I checked, tshirts get far more exposure than your standard flash game.
It's funny though. You'd think if people wanted something like this buried, they wouldn't shed any light on it. What do you think's going to be the first thing people do after they read this article? I'm going to hazard a guess and say, PLAY THE DAMN GAME, THUS EXPOSING IT TO A GREATER AUDIENCE THAN IT WOULD HAVE EVER BEEN EXPOSED TO IF NO ONE SAID ANYTHING. - thenativeraver, on 10/12/2007, -5/+26Read this, then explain to me why everyone was marching?

you see, that's for people to immigrate Legally, rather than Illegally.
government welfare programs can be extremely beneficial to citizens in need of assistence. however, that's only one of the things that is effected by illegal immigration. they utilize countless things that we have set up, constructed, etc with tax dollars, but they don't pay any taxes to help pay for what they utilize (and sometimes abuse). then they often take the money they make out of the country.
America accepts immigrants today, just as it did when its current citizens immigrated here. the metaphor with the statue of liberty is lifting a lamp by the golden door. illegal immigrants aren't coming through the door, they are breaking in the window, messing up our carpet, eating out of our fridge, then taking whatever they can with them when they leave.
i fully support legal immigration. i am fully against illegal immigration. please, come through my front door and obey the rules of the house we all must share. please don't brake in and steal from us. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -11/+31The game is racist because of the comments "wetbacks" and such that are made in it.

Honestly that's one of the most painfully retarded comments I've read on Digg.. Ever. Seriously man, get out and see the world, grow up, and lose the tough guy rambo attitude. - Lord_oftheTrons, on 10/12/2007, -7/+23That was an interesting article. Looks like it is alright for Mexico to suppport legalizing migrants already in our country, but they dont' care about immigrants in their own country.
Holding us to a higher standard while they beat, rob, and rape on their side of the border. - fahrvergnuugen, on 10/12/2007, -10/+24If you are ready for the adventure of a lifetime, TRY THIS:
Enter Mexico illegally. Never mind immigration quotas, visas,
international law, or any of that nonsense. Once there, demand that
the local government provide free medical care for you and your entire
family.
Demand bilingual nurses and doctors. Demand free bilingual local
government forms, bulletins, etc. Keep your American identity strong.
Fly Old Glory from your rooftop, or proudly display it in your front
window or on your car bumper.
Speak only English at home and in public and insist that your
children do likewise. Demand classes on American culture in the
Mexican school system. Demand a local Mexican driver license. This
will afford other legal rights and will go far to legitimize your
unauthorized, illegal, presence in Mexico. Drive around with no
liability insurance and ignore local traffic laws. Insist that local
Mexican law enforcement teach English to all its officers.
Good luck! You'll be demanding for the rest of time, because it
will never happen. It will not happen in Mexico or any other country
in the world except right here in the United States, Land of the naive
and stupid, idiotic politically correct politicians. If you agree,
pass it on. If you don't, go ahead and try the above in Mexico. - dominowrecker, on 10/12/2007, -6/+19@rm999
I dont think anyone is saying they are against immigration. Just illegal immigration.
When my great great grand parents came over....they did so the legal way. It wasn't easy, but it was the right thing to do. Why should some people be able to bypass the process? that's not fair at all. And I think its only the "white mans guilt" that allows it to happen. If you ask me that's even more racist....instead of treating Mexicans like everyone else, they are giving them a special pass for some reason. - TheWorkz, on 10/12/2007, -9/+22Maybe instead of marching on us in America, they should march on their own government and take back their own county. Instead of running away from the problem at its source, tackle the damn problem. I am sick of hearing that we owe them.. I would never expect to go to their company, steal someone elses job and expect anything in return like becoming a citizen..
- ViperDaimao, on 10/12/2007, -4/+16Have you never played a video game before? Miss that whole GTA 3 thing?
- jgreene777, on 10/12/2007, -19/+30The illegals who swim across actually refer to THEMSELVES as wetbacks, only in Spanish, so that's not racist. Killing them certainly is extreme, but no one complains about games where you shoot politicians...
- captaindan, on 10/12/2007, -10/+20Great, let's argue semantics while it's clear that this game is awful. Never mind that it's a game about Mexicans.
- mrch3w, on 10/12/2007, -5/+15"I'm somewhat disgusted at the callous attitude a lot of people on this forum have towards immigrants. Almost every person on here's family came here as an immigrant."
the difference being that most of our ancestors came LEGALLY. personally my great-great-great grandfather sold himself as an indentured servant to earn his passage and worked in slave-like conditions for 10 years just to get here.
i can understand wanting a better life, hell everyone does. but when you cross the border illegally, no matter what race you are, you're fooling yourself. When people legally immigrate through the proper channels they have the law on their side and benefit from that protection.
now, having said that i think that it's WAY too HARD to immigrate legally, and that process needs to be changed drastically. i think a lot of people wouldn't mind toughening up the border if we would streamline the immigration process so that those who want to come, can. this 5-10 year waiting list is *****, plain and simple.
next, the comment that Mexicans get treated badly in border towns i think is a gross over generalization. i live in San Diego, and Mexicans here are treated the same as everyone else. i would say that more then half of the population here is Latino, so you had better be nice or else! - joltcola, on 10/12/2007, -6/+14Dear President Fox (Mexican President),
I am going to go Mexico and would like a few things when I get there:
1. I'm in a hurry and will not have any paperwork or a Passport. So just let me in, Thanks!
2. I want the school system to teach my children, soooo...you'll need to hire English-speaking teachers.
3. I really don't want to learn Spanish, so please change the street signs and such to accommodate my needs.
4. I would like to drive while I'm there, but don't worry about me getting a drivers license or insurance. I won't need those.
5. If you don't mind I will be needing health-care.
6. Eventually I would like citizenship, but if you don't give it to me I will protest and wave the American Flag all over Mexican soil.

- sporktek, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7I think Jack Thompson is going to have a hard time with this one. I mean, on one hand, it's violent, it involves killing people, it also involves people sitting and watching a screen while moving their fingers BUT, on the other hand, you *are* killing foreigners. . .

These immigrants and their descendants now rape Western females for not dressing to their traditional standards, harass gays and honor kill their sisters and daughters . There's even western educated, immigrant doctors preserving the tradition of female circumcision. It's a complete clash with secular, Western values.
Not to mention they consume an insane amount of social services while contributing little to nothing in return.
These immigrants also return to their homelands to blow themselves up and destabilze other regions of the globe by logistically aiding terrorists with money they were given in the West. They even become homegrown, foreign influenced terrorists that attack their own countries.
Our own rights that we take for granted like freedom of speech, freedom of the press, freedom to expression are being threatened by these immigrants that come here and claim to feel persecuted by our freedoms. So persecuted they don't even think about leaving and going back to their dictatorships and theocracies. Instead they place their demands us that we adjust to their expectations.
The USA has to learn from Europe's mistakes that immigrants do not export their newfound "love of freedom" home, nor do they assimilate when given even 2 or 3 generations and half a century. Instead unskilled immigrants take advantage of our generous welfare systems and use our open border policies intended for refugees against us. - leptonbill, on 10/12/2007, -8/+13"Ah, life in the good ol' United States of Aztlan... err, America."
So I guess that all land that was Taken by others should be given back to its respective "Original People", then what happens? Nearly everyone in this hemisphere is an amalgim of different races and backgrounds. So we give the US land back to the Native American people? What does someone like myself with a Cherokee German Scottish herritage do? Never mind Europe Africa and the rest of the world, and how far back in time does one need to go in order to be at peace with the rightful owners of the land? While I can understand the idea behind the mythical land that was Aztlan, I in no way shape or form agree that because peoples ancestors used to live someplace they somehow have a "right" to live there now. - BitpopBoogie, on 10/12/2007, -5/+10If you are ready for the adventure of a lifetime, TRY THIS:

================================================
First of all, I have entered Mexico illegally. You're supposed to have a passport or a visa and I had neither. Second... I did all of those things, and nobody cared. Have you ever been to Mexico? We drove around drinking beer and ignoring traffic signs aplenty. You can do whatever you want down there and as long as you don't bug too many people you're fine. I spoke English to people, they spoke English back, of course it was very limited, but my Spanish is crap.
Mexican health care? they don't have health care, but you can get all the prescription drugs you can handle. Drivers license? I have friends in Mexico that couldn't even get a license. you just drive anyway. If they catch you they usually let you go, if any of them even feel like pulling you over. Which they only do if you're an American who can pay the ticket, and then you just give em 10 or 20 dollars and they let you go on the spot.
Mexico wasn't created by immigrants, it was formed by conquerors. The Spaniards came with no intentions of setting up a migration, they planned on taking over. They intermarried and converted the natives. America was built by migrants who eradicated the natives and built their own government. Don't' try to compare the two, they're completely different. - cliffzdude, on 10/12/2007, -3/+8Most in the USA (legaly) are against illegal immigration. 99% (or so) of illegal immigration comes from Mexico.
Thus, using illogical media bias if one is against illegal immigration one is against Mexicans?
That is patently absurd, but the media is buying it hook, line, and sinker. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -3/+8Wow, a LOT of comments. No wonder. Many are fed up with the southern states turning into little mexico.

- sphearlesdigger, on 10/12/2007, -3/+8Mexicans have it so much better than past immigrant groups. A hundred and fifty years ago when the Irish were coming to America, there was no free education or health care, not to mention the bigotry they faced. Are you willing to pick fruit? How much an hour would it cost to get you to do it?
Everyone I've asked says at least $15/hour.
If the migrant workers got $15/hour, how much do you think fruit would cost?
Listen: If we get rid of state sponsored welfare, the churches and private companies would pick up and help people out, so that's not an issue. If we open the borders, a bunch of new people will come to the country, sure. What's wrong with that? They bring jobs with them! Immigrants CREATE WEALTH!

The United States of America is on of the greatest nations on this planet. We have set laws and regulations to allow for entry into this great land ... If you cannot abide by these laws or do not agree with them ... do something about it -- become a citizen and use your legal rights to have laws and regulations changed -- we should not ease up on illegal immigration, but press down on it ... they want to protest ... OK ... everyone of them has to be a citizen to have that right to protest ... perfect chance to catch them
Who cares if they do the jobs no one wants ... we have plenty of people hare on welfare and food stamps who are perfectly able to do the jobs that some of these aliens are performing ... let them do it
