- forrest, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3java != javascript.
sigh - sintaks, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Sheesh people... I think this thing is cool, even if it's only for IE. The fact that they made the whole damn thing in Javascript (and not Java) speaks wonders. I personally use Firefox, but some of you have to get off your FF-only high-horses and give credit where it's due (i.e., +digg). From a market-share standpoint, you can't blame them for coding for IE. Think of their market: people who play online games. This usually means "people who visit those crappy gaming sites with all the ***** popups and spyware"... which usually means those people aren't running Firefox, because if you don't care enough to avoid said sites, you don't care enough to have a superior browser...
Oh... and @puppitmastr : It's JavaSCRIPT. SCRIPT. No JRE. Not Java-based. EMCAScript-based. - Crazyguy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2IE only, no digg

Most hilarious browser-based RPG ever. Don't let the graphics fool you; the content is a riot. - jinexile, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2What plugins might that be?
- dude3609, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Best game i've seen so far that is written in js.
NOTE: THIS GAME ONLY WORKS IN IE - bonzooznob, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2IE Only, No Digg.
- dvdgee, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1as an aside... this game is pretty old, it has been around since long before the 'web 2.0' wankfest started. i first played it perhaps 18months ago.
- bpapa, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1This doesn't play on my Commodre 64. No Digg.
- kaniz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1 Empyrean - you do realize that there is a HUGE difference between Java and Javascript dont you?
Oooh, it only works in IE - so what, its a neat application of JavaScript, digg from me. - Klowner, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1@solden - Runescape is Java, this is Javascript (not to be confused with Java, as noted in the description)
- Doriath, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1"OMG That was SOO hard to click on Start->Run and type in iexplore, and then paste the URL into the address bar."
I don't have a Start button anywhere on my KDE desktop... - Xopl, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1IE only? SUCK!
- Chexee, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0.. I'm using it in Firefox ..
Haha, pretty impressive for JavaScript
+digg - sparkmonkeyz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0nice, it works in my ff too, you just need the right plug-ins
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0well dammit, they could have made this PSP compatible.
Phoop:( - Gronkk, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I like the artwork. One shouldn't underestimate how hard it is to make graphics look this good.
- iomegadrive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Pretty cool but lots of lag.
- Soldan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0its pretty good...but no sound...
so you read.. http://jayisgames.com/ too eh? - scaaven2, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0WTF is IE. ooooohhh it's that program I haven't loaded in two years, i remember now. those were some crazy days
- Shoegazer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Is there really any reason to make anything in JavaScript IE only? It's not like the IE extensions give you any new functionality or anything.
- posure, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Impressive but no digg for being IE only.
- Spaztic, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1use IE tab extension in FF...works ok
- Progz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0wow this game sucks. you cant like even call it a game. The loading times is HUGGGGGGGGE.
- dewey, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I'm not getting any lag, this is very impressive for javascript.
- Moocat, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Is there a download to this so I could download it right onto a machine? Can't hit the site right now.
- Artifez, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Doesn't like firefox so much. :/
- zenlunatic, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0woops wrong tab sorry
- akinder, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0OMG That was SOO hard to click on Start->Run and type in iexplore, and then paste the URL into the address bar.
OMG FF FOREVERZ
Please, children :P - estacado, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Another example technology for the sake of technology. Just because it can be done, it doesn't mean it must be done. For demo purposes, it's okay. But use the right tools for the right job.
- Veretax, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Want to edit or design your own game with TRIGLAV game engine? The game engine has been made with JavaScript. It includes TRIGLAV Freaks (ranking table) and the item dropping function made by CGI (you can choose Perl or ASP).
no digg here it requires a server to run - Kdog22, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Nice good time killer at work!
- thejadedmonkey, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Sounds amazing...I'll digg it when I can play it though.
So far it's a no-go with Safari, FF, and I'm loading IE for mac now. - zentro, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Very impressive. Huge digg.
- Ravenlock, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Heh. JayIsGames.com is a great site, I saw this on there too. ;-) No digg for being IE only, but I did test it out and aside from having no sound, it isn't bad.
If a person was stuck using IE at work/school/what have you (and didn't want to do what they should be doing) it'd be a good way to waste time. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Java == ass.
Java is so much ass that I completely turned it off in FF and will NOT turn it back on...ever.
JavaSCRIPT, though == *thumbsup* - kevinski, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I use Opera, so no digg.
- surgen, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"well dammit, they could have made this PSP compatible."
The Javascript support in the PSP browser is terrible. - Agekay, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Holy ***** *****. This is really impressive. This is Javascript you dumb *****, just read the damn description!
- zenlunatic, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0That just means there are 120,000 idiots who payed instead of downloading it for free.
- a1programmer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Amazing...
- L0t3k, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Wow, that's ridiculously impressive.
- bpapa, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0It doesn't play on my Xbox! No Digg!
- TehSuper, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0"I don't have a Start button anywhere on my KDE desktop..."
Sucks to be you? - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0"use IE tab extension in FF...works ok"
WTF?? IE tab extension? That's no different than using IE itself.. no way. - CaughtThinking, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0lol, I think the average Digger is getting dumber.
He should've include sound, especially with those great JS sound libraries out there. Digg++ regardless. As for IE only being a reason to not Digg, you guys are killing this site, go post on Apple for or something. At the very least recognize this guy is awesome and put a lot of work into it. - puppitmastr, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0I believe Runescape is all Java-based as well. It plays fine if FF as long as the JRE is installed and enabled.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1IE Only? So that's why I could never get it to work (awhile back). They'll need to work on getting it up and running on FF... I refuse to use IE.
- Empyrean, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0As mentioned before, Runescape has been around for years, its completly Java based and hundreds of thousands of people play it...AND it plays in IE or Firefox or any other browser you use. No digg.
- bpapa, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1"IE Only, No Digg."
Holy crap you are a *****. -
