Square Enix is kicking ass on the PSP!! =) - punkisnotdead, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6
Here are some screenshots of the first Star Ocean remake planned for PSP. Personally I am looking forward to this game, since it was never officially released in North America.

I can deal with that. Which system is rings of fate coming out on?
The only thing wrong with FFTA was those stupid laws. - chocobomog, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3No, this is the pre-announcement party. They still have games to announce at the main party this weekend. They probably wanted to announce their non-Final Fantasy/Dragon Quest games early so these games weren't overshadowed by the big games SE shows this weekend.

They just announced Final Fantasy Dissidia earlier in the week. - thefaithful, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3first you bash them for rehashing old games
but then you bash them for not remaking FFVI, FFVII and CT? - Cyber_Akuma, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I'm kinda annoyed that SO1 and SO2 will be seperate, I hope they will at least be priced under $40. Regardless though, i'm excited about a second chance for SO1 to come out in english.
"Then Shinji Hashimoto mentioned that a new Chocobo Dungeon game was in development for the Wii, but nobody cared. A chocobo cosplayer fell down on their face, and the next speaker came to the stage." - Elranzer, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3If they ever remade FF7, it would never live up to you fanboys' expectations.
- omyard, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Sounds like a whole bunch of great titles. Finally might dust my PSP off to play Star Ocean 1 and 2, even though I've barely played Star Ocean 2 on the PSOne.
- sictransit, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3All I can say is Yay! I played the first Star Ocean with the Dejap ROM translation, and as my hat's off to those guys. Ahh, those were the days....*rambles away for a bit and then falls to sleep*
And, Star Ocean *so* kicks Final Fantasy's ass... - chokeaduck, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2When do we hear the Kingdom Hearts news?
- kaynesan, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Star Ocean 4?
Anyone who played Star Ocean 3 would think that the story was pretty complete... or should I say, they didn't leave any room for a sequel because of the ummm... interesting plot-twist. - staticneuron, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2Really? Because I would gladly take crisis core and tactics over any of the FF that the DS is getting. And dissida sounds interesting but the last few fighting games from square wasn't that great.
- RonPaulPres2008, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3The PSP is starting to look good with the FFTactics remake and this game. I'm more excited about Star Ocean 4 though!
- philipz78, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1What pissed me off about SO3 was that for a game with that great Sci-fi intro, there was very little Sci-fi to be had.
- Doompuppet, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1ZOMFG Start Ocean 2 was so sweet, I can't wait for these.
- fatmatt2000, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Have they announced an NA version of Kingdom Hearts2:FM or not.
Last I heard it was just Japan, with no announcement of it being ported over.. - RonPaulPres2008, on 10/12/2007, -4/+4The tactics remake is going to be amazing. It's such a shame that the Nintendo DS tactics game is a sequel to FFTAdance though. FFTA sucked but FFT the original was a classic. I'll be praying for a true sequel on consoles even though I know it will never be like the original because Square is different now. So sad.
- Elranzer, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1"FFTA sucked but FFT the original was a classic."
FF Tactics was little more than Tactics Ogre with a Final Fantasy theme layered on top of it (the two games were developed by the same developer, Quest). FFTA at least was original, in terms of look & feel and its own interpretation of the tactics battle system, rather than directly using Tactics Ogre's engine. - djSyndrome, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1FFT for the PSP has not been announced for a US release yet. That's not to say it's not coming - Square does like money, after all - but it's kind of odd that it's already out in Japan and there is *no* news of a localization process in place.
- Dorklance, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0well star ocean..be a online game?
- djSyndrome, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1"Another in-between game was announced for the Nintendo DS by Nomura."
Source? It was announced as being for a portable. The specific platform was not mentioned. - KenDigg, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1It's a great time to be a Square Enix fan. Let people jump all over the fact that some of these games are ports. SE is making ports as well as making new titles, not instead of. My only complaint is they continue to announce new games but they still have yet to release games that were announced years ago.
Here's to hoping that soon we'll be buried in SE goodness. FFTactics, FFXII RW, FF: Crisis Core and more! I can't wait. - smokespliffz, on 10/11/2007, -1/+0At least it will also be released on the Xbox 360, I can't wait for this, I've been waiting for a Square Enix rpg title on the 360, hopefully if sales are good, Square Enix may port the older FF titles to the 360, I would defo purchase them all ...
- Elranzer, on 10/11/2007, -4/+3FF: Crisis Core - Another FF7 spin-off. The battle systems is mostly slots-based.
FF1+2 Anniversary Edition - More ports of FF1+2, just the GBA version high-res.
FF Tactics: The Lion's War - Yet another port.
FF Dissidia - A Final Fantasy Smash Bros-style fighting game.
The PSP's Final Fantasy line-up isn't as thrilling as the DS's line-up (FF12:RW and FF4 3D). - Elranzer, on 10/11/2007, -2/+1KH2 Final Mix (with Re: Chain of Memories) came out in Japan over a month ago. Another in-between game was announced for the Nintendo DS by Nomura. An official KH3 announcement has yet to be announced.
- SaintStryfe, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0Steek: Well, they've all ready announced KHII: Final Mix, which will include a re-done version of Chain of Memories for PS2 (with improved graphics), and new bosses and side-quests.
KH3 is several years away. There is talk of there being another "inbetween" game like CoM was, possibly for the Wii. - proxima, on 10/11/2007, -3/+1Star Ocean 4: 360. BELIEVE
- arunforce, on 10/12/2007, -5/+3No Final Fantasy either. =(
Both highly anticipated games... - kickcows, on 10/12/2007, -5/+3couldn't agree more.
- jccalhoun, on 10/12/2007, -7/+4http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3159370
- Steek, on 10/12/2007, -8/+4No Kingdom Hearts announcements? Lame
- EochaidRiata, on 10/12/2007, -8/+2So they didn't announce any PS3 exclusive titles?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -9/+1It'd rock if they re-released FF7 or even Tactics for the PSP
I would plan a flight anywhere just to have the free time to play it - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -11/+0LOL SQUARESOFT IS DEAD
Reasons why people hate them now:
1. FF VII remake - people have been asking for this for like 10 years, they wont do it.
2. FF XII - a disgusting game for disgusting people that most people just hate. awful to its core.
3. Feminization of male characters - no strong male jawlines allowed
4. No more chrono sequels
5. No Chrono remake
6. they make lame games now.
7. they rehash old games on portable systems.
8. no ff6 remake
