- snak3st, on 10/12/2007, -3/+27Can't wait for some Wii Games :D
- jack_of_knaves, on 10/12/2007, -6/+18Props to the people calling it the Wii. That's its name now. No longer the Revolution, we should stop clinging to the name with childish stubborness. After all, Nintendo's creed as of late has been to "embrace change."
- slash101, on 10/12/2007, -3/+13Same, looking forward to the Nintendo Wii, I just love that controller.
- gk128, on 10/12/2007, -3/+10This article is full of misinformation.
For one Nintendo's press conference is on May 9th. Secondly a lot of those games are listed as rumor on a recent 1-Up article while they are passed off as confirmed here.
Don't Digg this story. It's full of lies. - juanbobo808, on 10/12/2007, -2/+9Cool article, look forward to seeing the after-E3 article up on digg as well.
Hey, if this console is going to be less than $200, who's not going to buy it? - kabz, on 10/12/2007, -4/+10Wow, I already got used to the name. Nintendo Wii. Cool !!!
- skaughtm, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5the nintendo 64 controlled was far from great? do you have a laptop at the bottom of your stairs? cause i think you just cracked your head falling down them.
- DNABeast, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6With Nintendo taking a more mature image with this generation I'm looking forward to seeing more blood in my Wii.
- Nobi-Wan, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6I've never seen so many negative diggs on one article.
And I'll probably get modded down just for making this observation. - VSKBadCRC, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5I keep setting myself up for disappointment right now - every time i see something on Digg regarding Wii I'm under the impression that something new will be presented that hasn't already been rehashed and stated hundreds of times before. This is just one of those articles...
No digg because it contains nothing new or informational. It rehashes a lot of what's been posted on sites like Wikipedia and is rather lackluster... This seems like shameless site promotion... - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6heh, I like the starcraft ghost preorder ad, wonder how many people will click it?
- volcomjerk, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5It's not going to be insanely expensive like the PS3 or XBOX 360.
- Arramol, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4StarCraft Ghost Forever?
- slash101, on 10/12/2007, -8/+11Yeah, you know what I actually like the name Wii, it is interesting, and it's fun. Which is what the Wii is all about!
- Sabotage, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3ImageShack? What kind of site is GamersDaily if it cannot host its own images?
- Cyborg771, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I just want to say that Gamersdaily.net has no affiliation with the old gamersdaily.tv website or podcast.
- skaughtm, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2actually, the Wii will be able to read your mind, so it makes perfect sense. For YOU to say "What do you think to GameCube?" makes no sense considering the lack of mind-reading ability of the previous Nintendo console.
- gahal, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I like the part where instead of hosting their own images in the article, the hotlink them from imageshack.
- davidv, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3I'd like to know whats with that Pre order sc ghost ad. Last announcement from blizzard was that it was put on hold indefinately for all systems haha.
- elnerdo, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4"Availibility: Currently Unavailible. "
They don't mention that Blizzard DROPPED THE GAME. - zenghost, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3bob ross is gonna have a Wii game? lol. i can see where they are going with this and the Wii controller, but still....bob ross...lol
- node42, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I had an XBox360 at launch - and I really enjoy it. I had been pretty excited about the PS3, but after reading up on Red Steel in Game Informer it's Nintendo that has all my attention! Before that article it hadn't registered just how much a new type of controller will change game play. And I would love to play Kid Icarus again ;)
- Disease, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I look forward to Cooking Title. Hell, I'll go to E3 just to try that out.
- darkmist, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1NTDOY.PK
- accidental, on 10/12/2007, -3/+4Yay for someone writing a blog post full of known information you can find in 10,000 other places just to get some adsense dollars.
- JohnKappa, on 10/25/2008, -0/+1Do we have dates on when it's out in various countries?
I'm sure Wii will put Nintendo back in the console game. (pardon the pun)
I've had every iteration of Game Boy through to DS lite, but never been into their consoles until now.
This one I eagerly await. - lo0ol, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1That's what I've maintained. If Nintendo can make a really cheap system, and then follow through with their promises that more people will play it than simply the gaming community (ie: your grandparents, judging by their promo video, which may or may not prove to be laughable), then they really have an opportunity to make it really, really huge. The good part for us is that some of this can be judged pretty accurately once initial reports from E3 come in.
- sych0, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Image shack.... good. Why waste your own bandwidth when you can waste imageshacks. *****.
- kewldude606, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I still have that feed in iTunes...I want it back!
- Cyborg771, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Trust me, we all do. I just wish that TopaZ would change his mind but alas, no.
- cheez, on 10/12/2007, -5/+6Trauma Center Wii! Trauma Center rocks!
- lo0ol, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Be careful about generalizations. Not everyone thinks like your omnipotent self; I actually thought the GameCube's controllers were the best controllers of that generation. Fit smoothly in my hands.
- catastrophee, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Avatar! That show rocks! I hope the game does too.
- Quakes, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1That's because it IS shameless promotion, VSKBadCRC.
- TheBrandman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I heard (I don't remember where, sorry) that the console will be $200 and each game will be $40. But then again, with all of the attachments for added playability at maybe $20 a piece (arbitrary guess) it might become more expensive with time.
- v0id, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2That site lost its credibility to me when I read that poll they are running
"What do you think to Wii?"
That's like saying "What do you think to Gamecube?" it makes no sense! - mc1123, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1super mario wii....
*sniff
....smells like pasta. - SqueakyWheel, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1wii will see how expensive it really is soon. At least I hope Nintendo has the balls to tell us the price at e3
- TheBrandman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I had the same doubts. I double checked it on Wikipedia's Wii (Probably soon to become Wiikipedia) game list and most of them matched up. For some reason I'm skeptical about Killing Day on Wii. I saw the trailer for the PS3 last year and I don't know if it's up Ninendo's alley.
- balloot, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I wish I was an Oscar Meyer Wiiner...that is what I truly like to beeeeee
- pozzoe, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3My wii will roll off your tongue if you keep talking about how NW is a bad name, get over it.
- MasterFunk, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I agree. I feel this is a much better "rumor" round up. http://digg.com/gaming/Wii_Rumors_Explained
It also seems the linked article is much more truth full and clear. - slash101, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I'm sorry that we didn't meet up to the standards of digg and we will try harder in future, and I didn't notice that the person who entered the article was hosting the images on imageshack, I've checked now and I'm pretty sure they are hosted on GamersDaily, thanks for the comments ( even some of the negative ones ) it gives us areas to improve on.
- dakinator, on 10/12/2007, -4/+4 i want some Zelda action on this bad boy bring on Wii cheep as well. its all good!!!
- charlesnorbert, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I think that the wii is actually short for...
Nintendo Wiind
At E3 they will reveal the tile as Wii, then in 3D the letters "nd" will appear and be added, showing off their new display technology. That's my guess. - aniseed, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0It's not going to be that much cheaper. The price difference isn't going to be more than 100 bucks. Just wait and see - next christmas you'll get the 360-core within 100 bucks of WII
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1Lets think about the controller, as we know the N64 controller and the Gamecube were far from great. Nintendo shows off you moving the controller with your hands and it moves "blah" on screen, nice, but lets use common sense, take your tv remote, and put your arm out, and wave it around for, 10, 20 minutes? do you see my point?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -5/+2I cant wait to have one, then all my friends can play with my Wii wii ! ^_^
- SqueakyWheel, on 10/12/2007, -4/+0I will not buy it. For two hundred I can buy a serviceable video card. PC gaming is coming back admist these console wars!
- jakehopt, on 10/12/2007, -5/+1Mom, my Wii broke, could you tape it up for me?
Bow chicka bow wow ^__________^ -
