Ehh. . .I didn't really care or playing these in a tiny little browser window, really; I can download these games on an emulator and play them in full screen.

This would be the same as creating a website where you could through your browser, play every single music album (cd) ever made, or movies for that matter.
Anyone ever heard of MP3.com and how the founder Michael Robertson had to spend millions battling studios and finally settle for $54.3 millions, for allowing people to play their own CD's where ever they wanted.

Why so ? Copying the game would be illegal, but playing it is obviously not ... You don't have to own the game to play it in an arcade, or on your friend's game console. Same here.
However the owner of the site probably has no license to use these games in this fashion and they were probably just copied from some website.

And that only leaves the option of downloading an entire rom zip, which isnt bad, but for as many good nes or sega games theres just as many bad one
