Obviously if everyone had a great computer, why buy a console? reason: Most people DON'T. Consoles offer a completely level playing field in terms of technology (unless your internet sux) whereas in terms of computers, someone's duct-tape spit and prayers computer is running CS at 5.0 FPS and is getting ownt.
Reason 2: I don't play computer on my couch.
Reason 2a: Your friends can't play computer games with you on your couch w/o every one of them dragging over a computer, ethernet cords, and a router. PS3- Resistance, Co-op was short but fun, online is amazing people are on that PS3 about 15 hrs a day.
Wii- Wii sports is fun, but Resistance is better, but when someones not on the PS3 theres someone playing Zelda which is crazyfun.
Both are amazing, personally I have a Wii because its cheap (but so are the graphics :( ), but I will be getting a PS3 when the price falls.
